1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found a Bitcoin restaurant in my neighborhood on: December 26, 2022, 06:09:13 AM
To be honest, I'm not excited to see things like bitcoin being used for payments right now. Compared with before, more and more friends know about Bitcoin, but nothing seems to have changed. Like someone who knows diamonds and gold.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to properly store seed phrase during inspection? on: December 24, 2022, 06:07:52 AM
I read about a guy who was a tattoo artist.

He had twelve mistresses and satisfied each of those twelve girls.  Over time, he bought himself 5 bitcoins and the question arose before him - how to store the seed phrase?

He had an idea.  On the butt of each of his mistresses, he tattooed one of the words of the seed phrase.  He believed that this was a very reliable way to store seeds, but this turned out not to be the case.  All of his 12 mistresses once met, began to communicate with each other and conspired to rob him.  They have long guessed that the English word tattooed on their buttocks is the key to great wealth.

The most difficult thing for them was to solve the sequence of these 12 words, but in the end they solved this riddle.

They eventually withdrew his bitcoins to their bitcoin addresses and stopped communicating with the guy.

As a result, this guy was very disappointed in this way of storing seed phrases.

lol It's a sad story, but I couldn't help laughing. It was a miracle to get 12 girls together, and he deserves the lost bitcoins. Hahaha
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 24, 2022, 06:00:48 AM

The stress of repaying the loan forced me to sell a little bitcoin. The stupidest thing I did as a novice the year before was to sell bitcoins in a panic and lose half of my principal.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still think bitcoin is coming to an end? Then you must read this <3 on: December 22, 2022, 06:33:35 AM

I'm not worried about a bitcoin bear market. How crazy the bull market is, how lonely it is now. Take periodic breaks, and the market will eventually become lively.

We shouldn't invest just because we trust anyone. The safest but not the quickest way to get rich is to buy Bitcoin and deposit it in your own hard wallet.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Limitations of Bitcointalk Members from Developing Countries on: December 16, 2022, 06:41:16 AM
This is the reason why Bitcoin adoption still not widely adopted because they still have a problem in their own countries. I'd say developing countries have a problem regarding financial stuffs, if you work harder and earn more money, you could become mid range class and can buy Bitcoin.

The another problem is if you live in a country where it's very strict and too much censorship e.g. North Korea, China, etc. If they permanently ban Bitcoin and you want to buy it, you need to find a hard way to achieve it.

In China, bitcoin is easy to buy as long as you approve of it. My Chinese friends are not affected by the policy and can still buy and sell freely through Biance.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 15, 2022, 07:22:33 AM
It takes losing money on Altcoins for newcomers to understand that bitcoin is king.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: December 12, 2022, 06:40:20 AM
What I like about Bitcoin is that it's free from government regulation and I can put my property in the countries I need it in. But now that regulation is getting tougher, accounts can easily be frozen. It's a point of conflict.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 06, 2022, 11:19:32 AM
If this money that you are using to invest in bitcoin is not going to be used for the next 2 years, then there is really nothing to worry about. Time will tell the answer.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: November 29, 2022, 08:37:12 AM
More compliance funds will flow into the crypto market with the strengthening of regulation. In the long run the FTX event has a positive impact on the development of the industry.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Hong Kong consider Bitcoin? on: November 14, 2022, 02:55:49 PM
This is a strange question. Why do you always like to use China to represent the fact that most of the world doesn't accept bitcoin? It's a bias.
Last month, the Hong Kong SAR government announced a policy on the development of virtual assets in Hong Kong. As part of China, the Hong Kong government must have the support of the Chinese government in order to do so. If Hong Kong wants to maintain its position as an international financial city, it must do something to keep up with the times. Accepting virtual assets is a good place to start. As for accepting Bitcoin, let the most advanced US and UK achieve it first before considering other countries.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: November 14, 2022, 05:22:45 AM
Traditional investment institutions influence and even manipulate the price of bitcoin. Even though everyone agrees that bitcoin is decentralized enough that it can't be manipulated easily, the fact is that there is always someone or an institution that can do so.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 12, 2022, 07:18:14 AM
I don't know if the four-year bull/bear cycle is an accurate statement. If it is accurate, investing for four years will definitely make money.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recent event: Stay away from centralized exchanges (FTX, Binance, etc), use DEX on: November 10, 2022, 02:14:19 PM
There are different situations here, I guess. First, if you're not buying bitcoins for trading, but for storage, then you'll want to put them in a hardware wallet. Second, if you're trading, put it on an exchange. I trust Biance at the moment. I believe it's still safe.
