1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xiden [XDEN] New Hybrid Blockchain and Native Asset | PoS, PoC and PoE on: May 13, 2022, 03:50:21 PM
And your project (whichever the name you give for the internet service) is the one providing the connection? I mean, you provide both the device and the "mobile data" instead of providing only the device (minter guardian) which act as a MiFi and relies on existing ISP like T-Mobile or Sprint for the internet provider? If so, how do you enforce this global internet service? Because far as I know, even large companies like google with their Google Fi couldn't even reach the entire global-wide service yet.

So your not providing free internet service? In fact, you're not providing internet service at all, let alone worldwide reach, and your customer are not dissociated with their ISP, given to use your service they still need to subscribe to their regular ISP. Wasn't that means your statements below is rather misleading?

Ok, I understand your point of view and I understand why you say it's misleading, but let's look at it from another perspective: if you have the possibility of connecting automatically to the internet from a Minter Guardian hotspot, without being prompted for a username or password, can it be called free internet?

So basically a MiFi, only with a blockchain integrated into it? And all of it is free (including the MiFi device itself and the annual subscription) as well as working worldwide? For example if I am an Hawaiian having a trip to Australia, my Xiden will still works perfectly?

No. Xiden is the blockchain. The Minter Guardian device, which is what generates the hotspot and validator pool, is not a free device. When you purchase this device, it comes with 1000 locked XDEN (the native asset of the Xiden blockchain). You start unlocking XDEN gradually by validating transactions with the Minter Guardian and any other devices you integrate in its validator pool (called the KrateR Pool) in order to boost its power. All those devices will be registered on the network and if you take one of those on your travels, as you mentioned in your example, it will automatically connect to any other Minter Guardian hotspot in its range, which includes internet access.

As mentioned in the OP, Xiden represents a new layer of internet. This does not mean we are the internet service providers providers. To clarify, the Minter Guardian is, at its core, a router using an external ISP, to which we added a validator function for the XDEN digital tradeable asset. If you have a device registered on the network, it will benefit from the WiFi function of the Minter Guardian, whenever it enters the hotspot's range.

Do you have stats or world map of the minter router owners or what do you call minter guardian hotspots? At least, we have an idea where it will have presence and it may create encouragement for users to purchase one if they see that a lot of people are already using it. Or do you have approximate number of minter router owners at this moment? And how much approximately is this Minter Guardian device?

We can confirm that hotspots will soon be live in the following countries (in no particular order): Germany, Turkey, Romania, Switzerland, Ghana, USA, Nigeria and Austria. Please keep in mind that this is still an emerging project and it will take some time before the infrastructure is fully developed. There are also no plans for a world map at this point, but we'll keep the suggestion in mind.

The price for the device is publicly available on the CryptoDATA Tech website, also linked in the original post.

First thing first, the numbers of newbies bumping and shilling this thread is worrying. If your project is really legit and good, you won't need those bumping accounts. While for your project details, how will this free internet works? Through wifi? Worldwide?

Hello. Yes, the project is legit and to answer your question - if you have a device registered in the network, it will automatically connect to any Minter Guardian hotspot it finds, anywhere in the world, without password.

Brief Blockchain Overview

The Xiden Blockchain is a new layer of internet providing users with the ability to open a validator pool, and integrate their smart devices into the blockchain in order to distribute their resources through multiple decentralized networks. As a result, all Xiden users can enjoy all the benefits of the network while getting rewarded for their contribution with XDEN - the native asset of the Xiden Blockchain.

Xiden uses a hybrid architecture combining the PoS (Proof of Stake) consensus from Polygon Edge and Ethereum with our PoE (Proof of Existence) and PoC (Proof of Connectivity) consensus layers in order to achieve a modular and scalable solution that meets all the needs of the users.

The utility of the network is given by the SDR (Smart Distributed Resources) layer, allowing users to share device resources on the blockchain, and the Spectralis Private Network, which represents an internet layer of virtual tunnels, allowing users to improve their privacy and security on the Internet.

The Xiden ecosystem is geared towards developers by including many popular frameworks, such as HardHat, Truffle, Ethers, EVM, Solidity and others.

XDEN - Digital Tradeable Asset

XDEN is the native asset which serves as crypto-fuel for the Xiden blockchain. It can be transferred between users at any time and its value is given by the utility it has in the services and functions of the system, as well as its market price.

Methods of earning XDEN

1. Become a validator - Each validator who meets the consensus conditions is rewarded for the work within the system.
2. Integrating devices in the SDR layer - Each device integrated in the SDR layer is rewarded with XDEN.
3. Development of dApps and Apps - Developers can request XDEN to access their applications using the Xiden infrastructure.
4. Market trade - Market speculators can purchase it from frontline users.
5. Own a RMNode (Realm Meta Node) - The owner of the RMNode obtains all the gas fees from validations without being influenced by the validation power or difficulty.

Validator requirements

In order to become a validator a user must open a KrateR pool by using the Minter Guardian device and having 1000 XDEN in staking. This can be achieved through one of the following methods:
  • 1000 locked XDEN obtained only through purchases of Minter Guardian devices
  • XDEN acquired from the market

RMNode requirements and info
  • To own a RMNode a user must have a minimum of 2000000 XDEN in stake. This amount is always controlled by the owner.
  • The system consists of 30 RMNodes to which the Minter Guardian devices act as light validators that perform multiple tasks.
  • The RMNode's only duty is to register the blockchain blocks and submit them.

Rewards Distribution

Rewards are distributed according to the work performed within the system. They are affected by the following factors:

Validation Power - accumulated from all the validators available in the KrateR Pool
Available Resources - the amount of resources shared through the SDR layer
Device Uptime - The validation power is calculated based on how long the devices have been online during the 24h reward cycle.
Mining Difficulty - Difficulty can be Public or Private and is influenced by XDEN circulating supply, price and number of registered validators.

Developers

The Xiden blockchain is developed by CryptoDATA Tech, a company based in Romania with over seven years of experience in applied blockchain solutions for telecommunication, data encryption, hardware, and software security.
