Still waiting answers from Halong Mining and/or Innosilicon for questions about the exact same controller hardware design and also the same software.

After further research and after being in contact with Innosilicon our company will no longer be going to Miami for the demonstration day.

We have talked to Innosilicon regarding Halong using one of their machines in the press pictures and we have reached a concrete verdict. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Caveat emptor, please do not delve any further into this smoke and mirror operation and put more money into this. We have done the most intensive research by far of anyone online and there simply isn't a silver lining.

If anyone wants more information feel free to pm me, and if anyone wants our spot for the demo day or information on it also pm.

Well I'd like to remind everyone that I did say this smells a lot like Innosilicon hardware and software with different labelling.

This partnership with Myrig.com is the most positive thing that has happened so far,

but I'm affraid their retail price will be really really high, the same as with the S9 miners.

Some new images are uploaded in the Myrig.com shop.

I managed to find the high-res images, they were 'hidden'.

See this Imgur album for the picture found at DragonMint product page: https://imgur.com/a/WaHLd

We can finally have a slightly little better look at the miner.

For cooling there seems to be two pieces Delta TFC1212DE, front and back, in a push-pull configuration.

And I think I now know why the miner web configuration page was just like with the Innosilicon A5 and A4+.
The DragonMint miner has the exact same controller board.
See it for yourself, here is a picture for comparison: https://i.imgur.com/jxHeSP6.jpg

Also the steel case tube looks a lot like the one Innosilicon uses for the A5 and A4+.

Maybe the Halong Mining actually has a subcontract for these miners to be manufactured by Innosilicon?

And another design comparison here (pay attention to the controller with this image as well): https://i.imgur.com/a9sZcJa.jpg

I surely can't be the only one who sees these similiar design details?

One detail to also pay attention  is that the Innosilicon control board uses reversed PWM signal for the cooling fan control.
This method is not that commonly used.
Delta TFC1212DE are cooling fans that are controlled with a reversed PWM signal.
DragonMint and Innosilicon A4+, A5 miners use these cooling fans.
This detail also supports my theory.

Not sure, I haven't ever tried using Minera.  Undecided

I have RPi 3 and it has been stable for weeks now so far, 24/7.
Raspbian OS and it is acting as a controller for my Futurebit Moonlander2 setup.

@sidehack
Maybe disabling the blank screen screen saver and disabling the powersave mode would solve the problem?

I've sent few pm's here at the forum to Innosilicon in hope some things would be clarified, but they haven't replied me yet.

This seems just like a scenario where a guy wants to learn how to read, but he hates books.  Roll Eyes

You got to read and learn how to do it, simple as that.

@VoskCoin

Bitmain = future 'Cyberdyne Systems'?   Grin

While I think this is a good joke, it is also a horrifying thought if it ends up being real.

^ Yeah I don't think Bitmain made the decision to come up with the A3 miner just to bully the SIA developer team.

has anything ever been released by DragonMint ?

They are scheduled to deliver first Dragonmint btc miner batch in March.

Whether they are real or not, we are not 100% sure yet.

I'm not so convinced yet about Halong Mining, they have not yet proved reliably that the btc miner, DragonMint 16Th/s exists for real.

At the moment for me the dragonmint looks like it might actually be Innosilicon hardware https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2443327.msg28385439#msg28385439

917  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s7 wont work with bitmain APW3++ on: January 18, 2018, 10:25:40 AM
I assume you have 220V or greater mains voltage, since you seem to be using this 4k kit http://holybitcoin.com/product/dps-2000bb-dual-4k-breakout-adapter-board/    or similar other kit.

So the mains voltage is not the issue.

APW3++ is able to handle max. 1200W power capacity at 110V and max. 1600W power capacity at 220V mains voltage.

Sounds a lot like the APW3++ psu is faulty.
