2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another browser loading on my bitcoin device. I have just small BTC there. on: December 26, 2025, 09:32:20 PM
When I clicked a link on Gmail, the browser will open my default browser, when I pay more attention to it, I noticed it is the name of my browser but it does not look like my browser. I went to Gmail setting to disable open web link in Gmail. The link start to open on my default browser as usual. I consider that Gmail which name their browser the name of your default browser.

The same thing happened on Telegram, I thought it was Telegram build-in browser but it was disabled. I enable it and I noticed the difference. I disabled it again and the Gmail browser was the default again. Gmail shows it as my default browser name but not my default browser just like when open web link in Gmail was enable on Gmail, but it is now disabled but it is the browser that is opening when I click on link on my Telegram or other apps.

I do not download malware because I know how to avoid them, I do not think this is malware. I have some bitcoin wallets with small amount of bitcoin on the device, I just want to know if my device is safe.

i think its okay, because gmail and telegram have their own built-in browser app and its different from your browser, if you use android device gmail built-in browser app use your chrome browser cookies, if you think your device infected please install anti-virus on your device and scan it

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling can not be seen as entertainment on: December 18, 2025, 11:15:43 PM
You can drink once with your friends and feel good or you can be drunk every single day and be addicted to a point where it drastically changes your life.  I believe it is not different from Gambling entertainment.  If you simply try to be entertained, you will be.  If you try to make a lot of Money, if you start risking way more Money than you should risk et cetera, you will not be able to be happy.  Math will kill your dreams very rapidly.

A gambler never considers himself addicted to gambling, just as a person who drinks every day does not consider himself an alcoholic.
As long as gambling is a hobby, unless those around you call you a gambler, if someone is able to cover all their living expenses and their family's expenses and has savings for themselves and gambles with a small amount, then it can be said that they gamble for fun. Unfortunately, many people lack the ability to control their emotions and always try to make up for lost money by gambling.

I had an account on Blockchain.info years ago, and after a few years, a certain amount was deducted from my account without giving any information on every trnsaction it was about 0.01 BTC. I contacted the support of this site and asked them for help, but none of them responded and said they could not do anything for you. My first suggestion for newcomers is to use wallets like Electrum, or wallets that are not under the control of a specific site.
And recently, after installing an unknown software, I noticed that when pasting the address to deposit Bitcoin, the address was changing.
Always check the recipient's address after pasting to make sure it has not changed.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Need For Parents Involvement in a Child's Upbringing on: December 18, 2025, 09:23:31 PM
A child needs to play with his peers for his growth and development, and he also needs to play with his peers for his social development, but all this does not make parents careless about raising their child by sending him to school.
In fact, the child should be raised in such a way that he can share everything he has with his parents without any fear. Yes, the child must be in society and must face evil in order to be able to protect himself from the dangers of society, and for this he needs to tell someone what he says, and the best friend for him is the family. Unfortunately, many parents act in such a way that the child does not consider his parents safe and tries to take refuge in his friends and peers for many things.
And again, unfortunately, there are parents who send their child to school for their own convenience and have nothing to do with his upbringing.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Old age restrictions on gambling do you think is proper? on: November 25, 2025, 07:56:03 PM
In old age, people do not have work and often do not have a companion. There are more young people in gambling halls, so it can be difficult for the elderly to play offline. However, it can be easier for them to play online while sitting at home. In that case, playing more addicted can also have a detrimental effect on their health.

At this age, they may not have the mentality of losing. As a result, there is a possibility of accidents occurring due to excitement at any time. Therefore, loved ones should definitely give them time and arrange balanced entertainment.

On the other hand, it is better not to go to gambling halls for children under the age of 18 because this is the time to shape their beautiful future.

Do online casinos have the same feel as land-based casinos? I think older people prefer to use real casinos, considering the policies of online casinos that are programmed in such a way that people's winnings are very low. Is it suitable for these people to play in these casinos?
On the other hand, the casino environment is not suitable for under age people.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If this is true, your information is not safe on: November 25, 2025, 07:39:11 PM
Gambling websites definitely use people's personal information and there is no doubt that they sell this information to other people. The same thing happened to me.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we don't want KYC on casinos but happy to comply with banks? on: November 25, 2025, 07:35:02 PM
I have a question for you, are crypto casinos regulated by governments? Your answer will definitely be no. So comparing casinos with banks is not a wise thing to do. That is why people avoid KYC because people are not confident in the security of the sites, if one day one of these casinos gets hacked, all your identity information will be sold on Telegram. But banks are more secure and usually do not store sensitive information online.

I don't see any other possibilities except this. Because a new user will obviously look into the reputation of Freebitco before making a deposit. And they will learn about the issues of Freebitco when they try to look into the reputation. Users have complained almost everywhere about the ongoing issues of Freebitco. Only old and inactive users can make deposits without knowing about the current withdrawal situation. Otherwise, a dumb newbie can do it as well.

I doubt that many beginners check the reputation of a platform before making a deposit, especially if the platform was previously well-known.  For example, if a beginner comes across an advertising banner offering a tempting offer/bonus for a limited time, they will most likely rush to register and make a deposit. Then, of course, they will decide to check the platform's reputation, but by then it will be too late.
I completely agree with you, if you search for the word free bitcoin on Google, the first result is the freebitco.in. Many users trust the results on the first page and the first to third positions of Google search, few people try to check the credibility of this site first. Unfortunately, the freebitco.in website has not been performing well recently.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning! 16 Blockchains can freeze your coins! on: November 21, 2025, 09:29:38 PM
Op thanks for bringing this to the newbies boards for use to know. Many people like to use BNB to send coins because it is more cheaper than others but the danger has just been displayed by you to help us. That means we should be careful when using this services.

Why should we use BNB? As far as I know, your assets can be blocked, read here:

“Although Trezor Suite doesn't natively support BNB, you can still connect your Trezor device with third-party wallets that do support BNB. “
I think it means they can track you and easily can block your funds

If you want to pay very low transaction fees and not be afraid of your assets being blocked, Litecoin is the best option for people that have many transactions and want to pay low transactions fee
Personally I use Electrum and Electrum-LTC since 2014. I was member of blockchain.info but my bitcoins stolen from my wallet and blockchain support couldn’t help and now they want kyc…

I felt so sorry for myself... I bet over $30 per month.
While according to this table I should have been betting $0.8. why my yearly income is below $1000  Grin
That there is someone else’s chart and perspective, it doesn’t really mean that going above or below that means you’re doing something wrong. As long as whatever you’re gambling with is 100% within your means and it’s what you can afford to lose, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If $30 is something you can gamble away or lose every month and won’t feel any form of tension or financial pressure, then I see nothing wrong with that.
At the end of the day it all depends entirely on the individual gamblers and not on some kind of a generalized statistics, the individual means of people very and what can be considered an acceptable loss to your might be too much of a loss for another person and in that case you would expect that person to spend as much as you are on gambling and still be able to walk out of it without having any problems trailing them, we are our own individual persons so we should work within our limits.
I also believe that people have different individual abilities. But in any case, betting is the same for all of us and everything is about probability. But those who enter betting must have the ability to control their financial resources. For example, when I lose in betting, I have a feeling that I should make this bet again to get back the money I lost, so those who can deal with this feeling have the ability to participate in betting.

Unfortunately, the problem is that most gamblers do not pay attention to how much they should set aside for betting per month or per year. I have many friends who have lost or maybe won their entire monthly salary in betting. But I think a person should have the ability to manage their finances. For example, I have seen many people who have lost a lot of money who have had to borrow money from their colleagues or friends, which has negatively affected their character in the eyes of others. I always remember this saying that you should never be greedy in betting and trading.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever lost big and thought about quitting betting? on: November 15, 2025, 12:01:57 PM
Those who keep coming back to betting even though they have promised themselves not to bet again are simply nothing but pure addicts.... Many of them keep convincing themselves that they may very well win it big next time. They keep cycling in this cycle of false hope coz they are yet to even grasp the very understanding that gambling isn't always profit assured, that is why it is best that folks only gamble with that amount that they can afford to loose, so that when the losses are encountered, you wouldn't be cut unaware's.

The main reason why people lose a lot in betting is two important points, one is greed and the other is need. Although many people are familiar with the betting mechanism, they put all their capital into betting in order to make a lot of profit in a short time, hoping that they might win the bet while losing it all. On the other hand, people sometimes look at betting as a job, while this is not the case. Betting is more of a hobby. If you look closely, most people who become addicted to betting are already poor people with short-sighted thinking, and they always think that if they get money one day, they will bet again to compensate for past losses.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your crypto if something happens to you? on: November 15, 2025, 07:02:27 AM
As a married man who has a wife and kids, it is important to let your spouse know how much you had in Bitcoin or your seed phrase. But that should only happen when you truly trust your wife and knows she loves you and can't harm you, so as to run away with your money. Because I have seen many scenarios whereby a wife fired for a divorce and went away with almost half of the man's property, including Bitcoin assets, simply because she knew of it. Which is why some people might be skeptical of reviewing how much they own in Bitcoin to their parties.

As someone who has been married for over 10 years and we both love each other, I suggest you never tell your spouse how much money you have because they will spend it in the shortest possible time. But I suggest you definitely write a will for yourself and ask your spouse not to open it until you die. I did this myself and include private keys of wallet in it
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it still worth investing in Bitcoin in 2025? on: November 15, 2025, 06:36:58 AM
In response to this question, I have had the same thinking about Bitcoin since 2011 and I did not encourage myself or my friends to buy Bitcoin. I do not regret this because I was never able to be patient for long. But considering the past of Bitcoin, accept the fact that it is not too late to invest. Surely in the next few years you will say again that I should have bought some Bitcoin in 2025.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is pump signals always associated with memecoins? on: November 15, 2025, 06:30:05 AM
Usually, Telegram groups that promise 200 to 2000 times profit, the owners of these groups buy meme coins that have low liquidity then promote them in their channel to buy, and it cause an artificial pumping of that meme coin. Larger tokens cannot be pumped because their liquidity is very high. this is why you can't get any profit from meme pumps
