Been awhile, I recently dug out some old stuff including a few Titan cubes. One was on the roof of my shed for a decade, so it will be interesting to see what happens when I plug it in.

How's the mining ecosystem for Fujicoin these days? Pools? Block explorers? Did they ever get that stupid site in New Zeland that got "hacked" back online?

Last I looked, this coin is pretty much ..... still dead =P  economically anyways.

This may not be the right place, but may be the most relevant ... idk
Is anyone interested in buying a Titan? =)
PM me if you are.

So.... can FJC be converted to this new token FJCB somehow or are FJC holders just SOL for an eternity?

Where's the miner source code for the firmware you are selling and distributing? Smiley

Oh Kano you know how this answer goes haha. The source code for the panel can easily be found on github. The drivers are though not public since they took many months to make from scratch to figure out how to talk to the control board and chips. Sadly because of this I can't just opensource it.

I was waiting for you to chime in on this haha Smiley

Correct me if Im wrong but , Im assuming you had to modify cgminer to make your drivers or modified drivers work with it? If so, wouldnt GPL dictate you must share said source?
Also, I havent read this whole thread ... but is it correct to assume that your modifications and / or vnish's mods are part of the L3+ nh firmware / cgminer?  I dont know who wrote the original devfee threads part but yeah ... I think GPL requires sharing almost, if not all of this source.

I personally take issue w/ the designed forced devfee part. As in, Ive seen miners "failover" to devfee indefinitely until said miner was restarted, The fact cgminer wont even start up unless devfee pools are alive...    its one thing to have a devfee mechanic ... its another to potentially have it steel a majority of hashrate / prevent mining of folks miners at large.

It will not get stuck on devfee indefinitely I have not seen that happen before. Source code is public.
Source code is avail? where at?

Motty ... hashrate does not influence market price(unless theres literally 0 hashrate, then the coin is dead until someone starts mining) ... its the other way around. FJC needs folks to be buying/trading it for the hashrate to mean anything =)
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FujiCoin | Japan | Since 2014 | The Best Crypto Currency on: April 09, 2021, 06:52:49 PM
Two pizzas, Searing :-)

More to the point, yeah this coin has no purpose. If it is going to go somewhere it needs a purpose of some sort. Doge is worse than this coin, but it has a purpose (lulz) so it has value (which is so far beyond stupid I can't explain it).

So, what purpose does FJC serve?

Well,

It's the Blockchain for Tokyo, if not all Japan, and that is a big purpose.
If you are not Japanese, or a fan of Japan, you know, wanting to go visit, get into another coin.
And it's a S curve coin; till 2024, it's the early adopters era for this chain.
Check on FJC's website, instead of screaming that you are paid to whine.
Who knew that the CIA was this malefic in the end, uh?

And ... if anyone valued that purpose .... folks would be buying it from exchanges =P ... yet the market is completely dead and has been for a long time now ... sadly. This coin needs to find a way to drive hype for itself again.

Yeah this coin is all but dead.
No meaningful exchanges and now the best block explorer is gone =/

cant withdraw cryptopia again =(

Says that currency under maintenance.

I saw that on Dec 25th..has it been that way since then or was it working again briefly?

I used bleutrade...I always flush out all stuff in/out asap ..if I move some to btc....been caught by the maintenance trap before

edited just now at 1/9/19 10pm CST USA below

I did not check but IF cryptopia is still under maintenance...the price is being reflected at 4 satoshi's vs 2 satoshi's on blutrade instead...

lol....games/games...thus if you can't get your FJC out I guess the price has to rise huh?

never leave crypto in an exchange...seen too many games with 'maintenance' played like this Sad

Again, maybe you can take out stuff on cyptopia again and it is a 'real' pump in price..but I kinda doubt it..(sorry, too lazy to check)

anyway, later

brad

Before cryptopia entirely went down for maintanence a week or so ago... the fjc wallet(deposit/withdraw) was functioning briefly.

Cryptopia's Fujicoin wallet often stops. I estimate that miner who remit FJC to Cryptopia directly from pool is the cause of the problem. As Fujicoin pool sends money once every ten minutes, Cryptopia' s wallet must be bloated. The maintenance of Cryptopia may not be over until this problem is resolved.

oo yeah if thats happening ... that miner should stop doing so lol!

Yeah cryptopia deposit aint working here either.
If you try to initiate deposit via their website they say their wallet is down for maintenance as of 11.13.18 due to fjc network issues.

Look at CoinInfo. 100/517 coins are In Maintenance now.
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/

It is clearly an abnormal situation. Recently, many coins have been updated by CVE - 2018 - 17144 countermeasure, but it seems there was a problem with compiling at that time. That is why they stop the coind and are currently investigating and taking countermeasures.

Maintenance of Fujicoin in Cryptopia has been completed.
I carried out an examination of deposit and withdrawal, but the result is good.
Since the confirmation of the deposit is still 480, I am requesting dev to lower it to 10.

Thanks much man!

Got a new wrinkle...seems that you can't import large paper wallet (or maybe any large address private key) to the electrum 3.12 wallet you get the following error

error code -32600 response too large etc etc

So in other words for a paper wallet you can't sweep 1 million coins into that electrum 3.12 wallet ...I have another buddy who is stuck on the lite wallets listed he tried

on the fujicoin page...and lord knows I have no clue how to build the fujicoin core wallet on github for win64 and rebuild database....i don't program so clueless on that

I found this on the electrum site on the above (again know it is paper wallet large history issue...I think it may just be for moving large amounts in general due to history

even with a regular address move to a wallet (not paper wallet sweep) unsure of that as yet

did find this however on the issue

here is the link the are stuck at on github (no solution)

https://github.com/kyuupichan/electrumx/issues/348

here is another guys problem same as mine..trying to do the same and the above link was in this response to him

https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/4315

Kinda a big deal....can't keep mining FJC if I can't pay for electric for data hall for the next month because I can't cash out my 3 million FJC on a paper wallet in any manner

to do so. Again, my case a paper wallet and my buddies case is 10x my problem in that he tried using a lite wallet ..again, from what I can tell the histories are too long.

Anyway, left an email with the OP motty...Hopefully he has an angle on this even if someone has to hand hold me for a tip in installing from github the old fujicoin qt wallet

If this is common as f*ck, I'd guess that would explain the low volume and price staying up Smiley

anyway let me know, I have to pay the data hall next month for hash...if this is not resolved...the FJC network is gonna take a hit on hashing reduction

(data halls ..have to pay a month in advance by the 5th, don't ya know)

thanks in advance

brad
Hrm... if u mine to that paper wallet, its not the coin amount nor the "large privkey"(which not even sure what that means) ... its the fact that you probably have thousands upon thousands upon thousands of transactions for that address.
If that indeed is the case ... electrum struggles w/ addresses that have thousands of transactions ... when this happened for me historically, I would import the privkey to core, it can deal much better w/ many unspent outputs and transaction counts then electrum can.
