2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being hesitant could make or break you. on: July 21, 2024, 10:49:57 PM
If you place a bet in desperation or hesitation, there are more losses than wins. I have never won a bet to date where I was disappointed or upset. When it comes to placing bets, the gambler has to make careful decisions. It is not a good policy to cash out again in the middle of a bet but if many want to minimize their risk it is entirely up to them. There is no guarantee of winning or losing in betting so the gambler should bet with the assumption that he will lose. Gambling is not suitable for those who worry about gambling after placing bets. Those who are thinking about betting on sports betting must be prepared to accept any outcome.
Well, you're right, one must not make a gambling decision out of desperation because they may end up with more losses than winning tickets. I don't either get positive results from gambling if I am so desperate for profit. Although I don't have such an old gambling lifestyle now, Like you already said, a gambler needs to accept the fact that gambling is an activity with two results that are not assured by the casino, which means it could either be losses or winnings. One just needs to be prepared.
Desperacy for profit can only blind the person from a good game to the once's with higher odds as their desperacy will also be accompanied with greed, and once's someone is greedy, be it in sport betting or slot, your chance of winning will be reduced to the minimum as they will not want to settle for less, and chasing that bigger bag will only lead them to losing the small one they come to the casino with to multiply.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I ranked up. It feels great! on: July 21, 2024, 09:45:44 PM
Congratulations on your new rank, I really feel so happy for you on your new achievement and I'm am tapping from your grace too. I also hope to reach a new rank sooner.
Tapping from his grace might not be enough, but you can just be you and do what you do best, learn, and share value with the forum. I believe you can also rank up in no time and also celebrate like the Op have done, even though you have to celebrate JNR member rank first before the member rank. A one-step up is a step closer to what you are chasing to achieve.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: July 21, 2024, 08:24:55 PM
It's not possible that you make a win in gambling and unable to withdraw, something that should be in place might have been detected for being missing, only on this note could we see that some were unable to make withdrawal on their gambling account, that is why we should also have to consider the use of KYC as being very important for us to know and fulfil every conditions required for us in other to make withdrawal an undeniable request.
Please don't say that, mate. You can say that it's hard for reputable casinos to do that, but don't say it's not possible because it's been happening. Even when someone passes their KYC before depositing, follow the casino rules.
Once you've made a big win, it will be a shock to you when the casino comes up with a different story about why they have the right to deny you your withdrawal.
For example, in multi-accounting, it might just be a case of sharing the same location with another gambler, but the casino can use that as a big reason to deny someone their withdrawal. It's not new to the system, especially among some new casinos that can't keep up paying large sums as payouts every single day.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on favorites or upsets? on: July 21, 2024, 07:06:24 PM
I think it depends on the person. But to be fair I donít think we should be gambling for profit because it takes away the fun and you are most likely to lose some money.
Either you gamble for profit or for fun, both ways the gambler must definitely lose money. For the fun, the more you're enjoying the game, the more you might be tempted to put in more money just to make sure that the fun continues.
The same thing is applicable with gambling for profit; the desire to win and multiply will make the gambler spend more, which ever be the case. What's needed to reduce the amount that can be lost is self-control.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not only about winning and losing, but about psychological control on: July 20, 2024, 10:56:29 PM
       -      What you are saying is true, especially in your age where online casinos are very easy for anyone to access because of the amazing influencers promoting online casinos on YouTube and Facebook.

Influencers who don't careóif even a child sees what they are doingócan promote gambling; the government should be held accountable. The problem is that our government allows these influencers, so who dares to promote?
I also agree with the fact that this influencer is one of the reasons why online casinos are so popular among youth these days. Social media is a place where they find peace and joy, and this influencer turns their normal page into advertising for all of these online casinos, not limiting the age limit to whom can see it or who cannot view such content.
Not all governments allow and permit gambling-related content to be promoted online where their citizens can see it. I have read of such, and anyone found guilty will face punishment based on their law. Gambling is legal in that place, but this law is said to reduce how people get into gambling so easily because of how the influencers parade it.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After Effects Of Gambling In Your Health And Pocket on: July 20, 2024, 08:38:10 PM
Sometimes the ris h gamble calculatively because they are risking more and not because they are keeping to any rule or stuff.  Another point to correct is that gambling isn't ment for the rich alone, no casino have ever stated such neither have any restrictions be placed at any point for such reasons.
I don't think the rich are more calculative in gambling than an average gambler, or will I say a regular gambler? We all take equal risk, and we do our analysis based on how we individually feel that it's right because it's all money that we are risking, no matter the amount; it's valuable to us, and we will wager based on what we can afford.
If I'm to think about who makes more careful analysis before they gamble, I might say that reverse will be the case, as the rich might be even careless to some point on the game they want to bet on based on their level of finance.
8  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerians Police arrested and interrogated a popular bitcoin trader on: July 20, 2024, 07:41:02 PM
The issue between VeryDarkMan and him got him arrested. VeryDarkMan said he is not innocent and that he made money from online criminal activities. Maybe he is right or wrong, nobody knows. But it would have been better not to have such issue that can make people to be doubtful of the source of his money before he becomes rich.
I donít know the type of criminal activity that he has used to make money that he might be referring to, but on the aspect of him mentioning unsatisfied customers on some of his payment apps, that guy and his team are not entirely clean.
I make use of his BillPoint mobile app for data purchases, and I have encountered error payments on up to three different occasions, and the money was not refunded. Their customer service is not helpful at all.
The last time I used the app, which made me delete it from my phone, was when I did a data recharge of about N3000+, two good times at different numbers, but one was credit and the other was not. After I filed a complaint, a few hours later, I logged back into the app to check that the money was not reversed to my balance, nor could I find that particular transaction in my transaction history.
When I went ahead to complain again, the support was not helpful at all. I had to send them a message on Meta, and after checking back the next 2 days, I still have nothing. I have to delete the app before I incur further loss, which many other unsatisfied customers have been complaining about.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Will the idea of sharing referral links be as effective? on: July 20, 2024, 03:13:12 PM
I use links to this forum to try to persuade people to pay me using Bitcoin. I still think that the best way to pick up Bitcoin is to sell stuff, and accept payment in Bitcoin. It's a bit of a struggle though, and the high value of Bitcoin puts off some people.
If it's just for payment purposes only, I don't think people should worry about the value, as what they are expected to pay for each purchase will be measured and the bitcoin price will leave no disadvantage.
Unless it's for those who wish to buy and hold it as a reserve or for whatever reason, looking at the value and declining the decision to buy is also not a good idea, as the price they meet today might be considered the cheapest value compared to what it might be in the near future.

Back to the matter of the day, I also don't see a need for referrals; the forum doesn't have a need for that. If you need to invite anyone to the forum, it can be done even without using a referral link, and one can still choose a mentor on the forum without knowing who brought them there.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Receive payments directly to exchange wallets on: July 19, 2024, 10:35:24 PM
@OP, take this advice. Never submit an exchange wallet when you want to receive airdrop payment. Always use a self-custodial wallet that you have full control over. If you submit an exchange wallet and the token has not yet been listed on that exchange, you will lose your coin, and there's no way you can get it back unless the token finally gets listed on that exchange. You don't even know if the token is going to be listed on that exchange or not, so in order to be on the safe side, use a self-custodial wallet.
Sometimes the exchange will offer you a way to get the coin back, but it will cost you your time to bypass all their auto-bot replies on their support centre, and when they finally give you a listening earn, you will be charged for that service, and they will have to return the coin to you manually, whose cost might even be more than the value of what you want to recover, which will leave you with no other option than to leave it there. Unless the coin is of high value, after you spend any fee you are asked to pay, you will still be left with something that only when the person might take that option.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOLANA meme keep getting Insane volume on: July 19, 2024, 09:46:41 PM
Every new project that emerges on either the SOL network or the Tonne network is trying to take advantage of the hype of these two networks to make it to the top, and people have been following it and profits have been made.
But the thing is, most of these meme coins don't last for months before they will run into the lose part, which will leave those who join late to record losses instead of enjoying little profit from their investment.
I will say that this new project doesn't get much of a pump compared to the past few months. Maybe people are either beginning to learn fast how to invest smart or the project owners are not pumping in enough to create hype that could help boast the coin up to the 50 X level.
One piece of advice that I will give you about all these new coins is that you should always try as much as you can, not expect much from them, take profit when ever necessary, and don't always wait until you see 50 X, as it might take some time before they get there.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: July 19, 2024, 06:54:24 AM
By the way, I wonder how much longer he can play, because one day there will be so few players in poker that there will be only professionals who will squeeze each other out.
playing for 15 years must mean he is not that young anymore i would assume he is nearing retirement age

but even if he isn't there are still many who play poker there are even games online that i am sure he could earn from if he wishes to continue doing so i am just amused that he managed to make gambling such a stable income
It's very possible for a gambler to gambling a source of income using card games and a few board games, because those games requires more of skills, knowledge and experience rather and other games that are completely dependent on luck, like the slot machines, sports betting and other forms of gambling.

In card games like Poker or even blackjack, how successful you can be in the game completely depends on how good you in the game, if you're the best in that area or casino, then it's possible to beat everyone and always stay in profit and maintain it as a stable income because you've got more skill, knowledge and experience about the game more than every other players there.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: July 19, 2024, 06:45:51 AM
Itís great that you were able to overcome the trap of gambling addiction in the past and now sometimes play in such a way that you know in advance that you will never fall into this trap again.  This truly allows you to treat gambling as a hobby that generally provides hours of entertainment and only takes up as much money as you can afford to lose without having any major impact on your regular life.
It's very disheartening you know, to see that the higher population of gamblers are caught in the loop of gambling addiction and the worst part of it is that many of them do not even realize it and this has been the major probpem that has not just affected their personal life but of those that are also around them. This is the reason why people should try as much as possible to avoid falling into gambling addiction, because a lot more easier to break through from it when you discover it early and put a stop to it, rather than allowing it to grow and become completely part of you.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you developing as a player? on: July 19, 2024, 06:37:59 AM
Yes, I have a lot of improvement and I must say I do not lose as much as I did before which means I have learned from the mistakes I do make and perhaps I have come to realize a different pattern or strategy that has helped limit my loss and grant me more win. Previously I bet on various kind of casino games and it took me time to realize that I have to have one pick and adjust to knowing how it works. I get to see myself getting familiar with sports betting and roulette, which is luckier than in any other online casino game.
That's a good one,
It's nice you've been able to access your gambling habits and discovered where you weren't getting it right and corrected and improved on it, it shows how responsible a gambler you are.
There's absolutely reason for gamblers to improve their strategies and make some certain changes if they discovered they're losing more often, especially those are relatively new to gambling, I'm made to understand that a lot of new gamblers out there often came into gambling having the wring perspective about gambling and setting quute unrealistic goals for themselves, and this often results to losses and even more losses, so such a persom should try as much as possible to be able to make adjustments and improvements on their technique, approaches and possibly goals too.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram Dogs 🐶 on: July 18, 2024, 11:42:40 PM
The referral reward is not up to $1,000, as I have already referred about 8 people. What I think that 1,000 they wrote on that referral page might mean is the maximum earning that the person can get from referring.
Since I've recommended others, I've observed that the reward I received is contingent on the individual's performance, meaning you'll receive a referral bonus equal to a specific percentage of their earnings.
Maybe for the 8 people you referred to only one is eligible because the other 7 might not be interested or someone already referred them which is why it wasn't credited to your account.
Mine I referred 3 friends and all of them gives me 1k each and take note it doesn't have any value yet and it's not a dollar we do not sure yet that this is a real project and this telegram based app seems currently on beta test as you can see the first page of the dogs looks like will turn to a tap tap games that looks the same us hamster kombat.
I could have also thought the same thing if not that reward was added in front of each of the friends I referred, check the image below :

I already joined on Dogs bot a week ago mine 5 years and it only gives me around 3k I think if you use someone's referral you can get extra bonus I guess of around 1k also the owner of the ref link gets the same reward.
The referral reward is not up to $1,000, as I have already referred about 8 people. What I think that 1,000 they wrote on that referral page might mean is the maximum earning that the person can get from referring.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can online gambling compete with national lotteries? on: July 18, 2024, 10:22:22 PM
We never know that but there is always a possibility of that happening. Even if it's a lottery done on the state level, there can still be manipulation in it because we know how large the winning prizes tend to be when lotteries are run nationwide, it's about millions of dollars and euros, and those who win such a lottery will have their life changed for once and for all, so we never know, maybe they are giving the winning tickets to people close to them, or they might even take money for it.
No matter how fair the lottery system might appear to be because of who is handling it, it's still good to keep in mind that the system can be manipulated at any time because that's how the system has been built to be, as the gambler doesn't have access to the system, so you can't determine how true whatever they say the system is programmed to do is or if they can manually manipulate figures.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how often do you rely on prediction sites on: July 18, 2024, 07:39:06 PM
There are a lot of those kinds of sites around in my country. I even see most of the content creators on Instagram and Facebook advertising them. All they promise you are games that they believe are going to play the way they predict them.
I don't see anything different from what others who are good at predicting personal games are doing that they are doing differently, and as long as they are not also being the ones to suggest the betting site you place those bets on and not giving you any referral code to register, then I don't think there is anything else they can benefit from aside from the money those who trust them will pay to them.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do you sell your altcoins? on: July 18, 2024, 12:10:23 PM
I'm not too greedy in holding altcoins, and I have also reduced how long I hold them as the market is not certain. Even now, unless the coin price pumps unexpectedly, I don't have high hopes to the extent of expecting 10X more from a particular coin before I cash out.
What I do this period is pick up a few altcoins within the week, buy and hold them, and once I see 10Ė50% profit added to my capital, I cash out and wait for the next buying opportunity from either the same coin or another that might give me that opportunity to buy low and sell high later.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Are business partners worth it. on: July 17, 2024, 10:51:49 PM
Well to me having a business partner in a company can be sometimes shaky but still on still "so they say two heads are better off than one" Also having a business partner fills in this gap in the organization or company cost savings, emotional support, additional hands on desk, additional capital, and the many important aspects of it responsible can be shared.
Having a business partner will lead to new opportunities and ideas and also someone you can share your burden with
The type of business someone is going into will determine if they need a partner for that business or not. There are businesses that are just good to be handled by one person alone until they have upgraded to the level where the person will need external help.
Having a business partner most times is mainly not just because of the money the person might be investing in the business, but most times the partner can also be because of the experience the person has in that field, which you necessarily need in order to take your business to the next level.
