1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you know before recommending Bitcoin to a friend? on: Today at 06:14:09 PM
First of all, I won't force anyone but for the ones who showed interest, I tell them it's not a get rich quick business because many newbies do come with such investment mindset, I inform them about DCA too, and that Bitcoin is a long term investment if they want to profit they should look at four years and above. Also I will let them get to know about securing their Bitcoin and the safest method. Lastly I tell them that Bitcoin is volatile asset and should invest with what they're capable of losing.
That’s long term aspect is a very important part which I don’t always miss to tell newbies about Bitcoin investment, especially those who come to me to seek for advice on how to go about Bitcoin investment. The reason I do that is because I always wanna make sure they bear it in their mind before making any big moves, because any investor who’s only there for quick profits isn’t actually an investor but a trader, so it’s important to know your stance before delving in.

Or not have any directly.
I don't expect to win on my poker night, and even if i did win i wouldn't take any significant amount, maybe just the money for a beer and maybe not even for that.
Having no expectations, i am not inclined to play more to win more. i don't know if you understand what i mean.
I feel I’d understand you better if i were into poker Grin but unfortunately I don’t play poker, I’m more of sports betting type of guy. But if I try to understand what you’re trying to say, you’re saying that when you go for your poker night, you don’t expect to win but to just ride the wave and even when you eventually win, you’re okay with whatever you win, no matter how small, Ami I right?

For clarity Bitcoin na for everybody but trading na for professionals wey understand di risks wey de involved but many newbies no understand how trading de go because dem think say na get rich quick scheme. Bitcoin no be like shitcoins wey fit to pump overnight but it you waste time to collect profit you go lose di capital wey you take invest, if you want to succeed for Bitcoin investment you no need to de in a hurry to take profit. Dat na why DCA strategy de recommended for investors so dem no go carry for mind to take profit on di short term. Trading de give quick profit but e de very risky while Bitcoin investment de slow to give profit but e de more reliable because na store of value.
Bitcoin fit actually pump overnight, but no be like shitcoins, at least bitcoin own you dey sure no be some few group of developers dey pump am somewhere only to later dump am make investors just dey hold the bag. You dey correct for the things you talk, both about the trading and investment part. The reason why plenty people dey actually rush into trading, na due to the potential of quick profits wey dey involved, them no bother to reason the risks wey dey involved, this na because majority of the Nigerians wey dey enter the crypto sphere, either the trading side or the investment side, just dey find where them fit dey get daily 2k wey them fit take sustain, so that long term mindset no really dey there eye at all.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do we improve our luck in gambling? on: April 10, 2026, 01:29:42 PM
You're absolutely right, in fact this should become a rule for every novice player, even for experienced players who don't apply this strategy. I'm sure it will help them a lot; at least they'll see a change in the money they spend. Just making their money go a little further is already a profit. That's how I see it, although I greatly respect everyone's style of play and how they view gaming.
Every one has the right to view gambling to their own way, but its important to also do the right thing or the needful by sticking to instructions of responsible gambling. It might not be that easy to do that, but being mindful will be helpful to be able to control their minds and direct their views towards gambling, because it really matters alot, which will help them to maintain the good habit of gambling in responsible way.

Eh, why, as always with all such accusations, is there silence, as if in a cemetery? Mpamaegbu, now I understand why you didn't answer my question about why you don't have alternative accounts. Everything is simple. There was an answer, but I didn't understand it right away. It should be interpreted like this: "The accounts are there; the problem is only with you. You're not looking hard enough Grin."

Lol  Grin

It took me some time to understand this sarcasm. Aakzaki looked very hard on your behalf  Cool

I've always maintained my stance on this issue of multiple accounts. To me I think it was a great mistake for this forum to clearly stated "having multiple accounts is allowed". That was the beginning of cheating. You can not issue a gun to someone and then prohibit them from shooting. It's almost impossible rule to abide by because someday and somehow, they might be triggered and fire the gun. Then different explanations will follow like "ah it was a mistake" "I was only defending myself" etc.
Opening the forum for multiple accounts automatically gives room to cheating. How confident are we that anyone with multiple accounts will be willing to forfeit other accounts when all are accepted in one campaign? I'm not sure there's any. No matter the explanation, I will assume they have gotten that opportunity else they'll keep mute and continue to milk the campaign until they get caught or the campaign ends. I haven't seen but is there any case of someone giving up a slot because multiple of their accounts were accepted in a campaign? They always get caught.

The only way to stop this is by exposing them. All known alt should be tagged Alt automatically and not wait until they cheat in a campaign. Without being exposed as alt, they'll definitely cheat some day when the opportunity comes. It's better we prevent that right away before they take that advantage.
The problem isn’t having alts but what you choose to do with your alts mate.
Having alts doesn’t guarantee you must cheat or break forum rules with those alts, I mean the likes of LoyceV has an alt account, but is he doing anything wrong with the alt? the only thing is that, since having alts might eventually bring about some complications, it’s best to avoid it, and try to be transparent with your dealings with other accounts, especially when it involves exchanging transactions via wallets because right now, forgetting to do that could make you take the fall for someone else’s misconduct even though it’s obvious you’re innocent.

The rules are clear, have your alts (if you want to) but avoid breaking any rules, and if you do this then you shouldn’t have any problems with anyone. capiche

The only result you have to expect my dear is to have fun, if you win then good, otherwise never mind.
This mentality, that of expecting results, is what pushes you towards addiction and frustration if you don't win. It's absolutely wrong.

It's easier to say that "the only result you have to expect is to have fun" although this sounds good but it's very hard to stick to having fun forever because there will come a time when you will get enough of that fun and then you will be trying to get something different, at that point you might start looking into profit. I know how difficult it is to only focus on gambling for fun I'm still wondering how you guys do it because I tried to focus on having fun only not that I don't gamble for fun but at some point I think about profit I think this is normal because there's no way you will gamble without expecting wining at some point.
Except of course your don’t have a good source or streams of income, or you think your current job isn’t paying you enough to cover your needs, but if your needs are well covered by your income then I don’t see any reasons why you’ll be expecting gambling to do that for you, except of course you’re already having that misconception that everyone gambling is doing so for the money and so you wanna do the same, if that’s so then first thing you gotta do is rewire your mindset and when you get to the point that you no longer find gambling exciting, you just quit and look for something else that’ll give you that entertainment.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your real definition of a “win” in gambling? on: April 09, 2026, 04:06:15 PM
A win is a win no matter how small they say, but however in my own definition of win, I think of gambling could help me solve a problem whether it was emotional or physical or psychological stress then it’s a win in terms of entertainment but however, a win in other words is the amount I’m able to go home with that is beyond my capital or how much I played it. That’s a win but like you said 4 figures will be that win that will really do something special in my heart.
That's right, sometimes people thinks that winning a big amount of money is what they called winning, but having the control over your emotions to be satisfied with any amount one wins in gambling is what they actually called winning, because you have the power to control yourself when greed wants to creep in, which they are to understand the potential risks involved and how one can manage them for their own good.

Indeed. Controlling one’s expectations as a gambler is the first step towards having a safe gambling experience. When a gambler’s expectation are realistic, they’re able to focus on things that really matters and controlling their emotions comes naturally without even struggling for it.

It’s not as if people don’t make money from gambling, sure people do everyday, but expecting that which isn’t certain can bring disappointment, and not everyone can handle such disappointment.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How profitable can aviator game be? what strategy work? on: April 09, 2026, 02:37:02 PM
Aviator games are luck base games and if there’s one thing we know about luck base games is the fact that winning is solely dependent on luck alone and there’s pretty much nothing that skills or strategy can do for you.

I used to see some ads online where some folks claim to be releasing aviator signals, where they’ll release to players exactly where the plane would fly away, and honestly I believe that’s a scam and I’d never pay any money to receive those signals cos they’ll obviously not work.

14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The last leg luck: How do you stop one game from ruining your ticket? on: April 08, 2026, 09:55:15 PM
The feeling afterwards of regretting having delayed a withdrawal is experience that is of value in the unpredictable world of speculation. The urge to hold on until the last minute is likely to be the illusion trap that destroys the profit chances which can be easily tapped. This decision to embark on capital acquisition on a short notice is a good move in order to prevent future losses. The knowledge of historical learning will work in your favour in terms of money management strategy, keeping it within a safe margin.
Which is better for one to make a decision that they feel is right for them and can take responsibility of their decision, because being in this kind of situation might make some gamblers to take a decision that will either be good or bad to them, which some people often take that decision to wait till the last game is over and have already decided to accept whatever result it comes out to be and taking this decision and later feel regret usually causes emotional issues, which might affect them negatively.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long would you stay before gambling? on: April 08, 2026, 08:19:12 PM
Why do all this crazy effort, balance, but let ourselves be overwhelmed by emotions! we are human, we are not artificial intelligence.
The point is to get overwhelmed by emotions but not create damage for the future, it seems easy to me.
Set a fixed budget and start spending or playing.
We don’t need to be machines to be able to control our emotions. Even as humans, it’s possible and crucial to manage and balance your emotions, especially when dealing with issue that concerns finances. This is because it gets easier to allow our emotions to overwhelm us, and a lot of things can happen while this happens, a lot of this can go wrong, so it’s better to try as much as you can as a person and as a gambler to avoid such situations, rather than being there and trying to fix things or trying not to allow your self cause some serious damages, which is most likely to happen when we allow our emotions take the wheel.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Few tips to avoid gambling addiction, add yours. on: April 08, 2026, 05:49:33 PM
Now I get what you meant at first, players should get rid of expecting profits. Mistakes comes through this thought so much, and a lot of players are victims to this terrible thoughts. Gambling turned side hustle for this sets of gamers, and it keeps them on the screen for quite a long time, the effects of staying too long on games, derials their mental strength to a weakening stage, then sends the player backing down to a false trust that someday they'll recover all that has been lost so far.
Exactly. You know most of the times, the problem isn’t always the outcome of the gambling session that’s the major problem for most gamblers but the mindset of which they approach gambling with. Like we already know, how a gambler approaches gambling is 100% dependent on their mindset towards it, because the mindset is what gives rise to the goals and approach a gambler develops towards it. When a gambler thinks of gambling as something that should put food on his table or something that’s capable of solving his financial problems, then he’ll definitely give it more time and attention, the kind of attention that could end up being detrimental to the gambler in the long run.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When losing starts feeling normal on: April 07, 2026, 03:20:15 PM
As time went on, I realized that I was slowly losing that excitement, which also made me stop betting big. Because of that, the impact of my losses became smaller. I’m still ambitious, but not a high risk taker anymore, so when I lose, it doesn’t affect me that much compared to before.
That transition is exactly what every gambler who started off with such high expectations and excitement really needs. At least it helps you see the bigger picture. Not like one shouldn’t be excited about gambling, but being too excited can be scary, especially when such excitement is tied to a win, because this means that you only get excited and gambling is only fun when you win, and when you lose? It’s unacceptable and you need to set the records right by attempting to recover that loss, and this is literally the easiest route to addiction. So the transition from that to this is exactly what you need if you’re to have a safe gambling.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When losing starts feeling normal on: April 07, 2026, 11:11:29 AM
In reality, both losing and winning is literally meant to feel normal, because they really are, especially losses. What majorly get gamblers trapped in the endless loop of loss chasing is when they don't acquaint themselves with the fact that as long as gambling is concerned, losses are inevitably unavoidable and no matter how much people try, they'll always encounter losses every now and then. Which is why it's best to get used to losses, not in the way that you'll keep losing more than you're supposed to and still not get affected or feel the need to stop but keep going until you are completely drained.
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why do alot of Nigerians still doubt bitcoin despite its growth? on: April 07, 2026, 09:03:30 AM
People right now are more concerned about survival and feeding of their family members. so investing in bitcoin may not cross their mind even once.
That's is the truth of the whole matter I swear, coming out to lay claims without any concrete evidence is unacceptable, as a matter of fact the point made my Sir Hatchy is just the key reason making many people not to consider that direction in recent time. I know Bitcoin investment has made provision for even a middle class person's to invest using the DCA method but that isn't the case because even as we speak their are thousands and one Nigerians that are still finding it very difficult to survive because of lack of good jobs and other possibly ways of living not to talk of investing.  However, Bitcoin is well recognized globally including in Nigerian no doubt, but what has limited it so far has nothing to do with self doubt or whatever but the present economics challenges is what has caused the present limitations we are seeing now.
Several factors can make or hinder someone from investing in Bitcoin, and this isn’t just about bad economic conditions, lack of jobs or reliable source of income, yes these could actually potentially hinder someone who’s really enthusiastic about investing in Bitcoin, but we need to understand that there are people who irrespective of the current progress of Bitcoin and the historical performance of Bitcoin, they’re still very much in doubt as they have the mindset that nothing lasts forever, and that it could collapse the moment they invest their money, irrespective of having a good job or even several streams of income.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long would you stay before gambling? on: April 06, 2026, 08:53:07 PM
Absolutely true and absolutely right. Any obsession ultimately leads you to destruction, be it for unrequited love, be it for gambling, be it for any passion. Obsession never brings good things. Better to have the right balance.
Balancing emotions is the way to have a peaceful state of mind, where one don't have to think much about the potential outcomes, which they are ready to except anything from gambling and avoid anything that will lead them into becoming addicted, because being unable to control your emotions and balance it, there are very high chances that the results will not turn out to be what one is expecting to be, which will totally make them feel disappointed and unhappy.
