Hey everyone,

please update your wallets using this bootstrap. You can use the download-links below or
go to the ANN page which is updated as well. It'll fix the syncing issues, the chain has healed.

Bittrex is going to sync to the same chain so wallets should be available soon as well.

Thank you for your patience!

Syncing Made Easy

1. Back up your wallet
2. Stop the old client
3. Go to the application data directory (Windows: "%appdata%/StealthCoin", OS X: "~/Library/Application Data/StealthCoin")
4. Remove blk0001.dat, database (directory), db.log, debug.log, and txleveldb (directory); or just remove everything but wallet.dat
5. Download the bootstrap file from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8rWObF4xz1YRzd1VVNXM0JrWEE
6. Unpack the bootstrap file into the application data directory
7. Start the new client
8. For the new client your computer will pause momentarily at 71% to fill the key pool (you may not notice)
9. The progress will pause at 91% for as much as two hours (up to 4 hours for old computers!) to validate the bootstrap file. Do not interrupt this process!
10. The chain may take 5 to 10 minutes to sync after the bootstrap is complete
11. In some cases, the client may crash either right before bootstrap or right after. If so, just restart.

PLEASE backup your wallet.dat first !

Quick update from Hondo

---

Network sync is going very slow. I have picked up about 100k of 200k blocks from the network in about the last 12 hr. So I should catch up to one of the main forks by tomorrow morning. Then I will roll back to the divergence, which happened mid-day yesterday, from what I can tell. Then I will try to find the highest chain, which trex is no longer on. Once I catch up to it, I will create a bootstrap and release a client with an updated tor, along with the bootstrap. Because the network is so slow, this could take until tomorrow night. I really thought I would wake up and be at the top of the highest chain this morning.

In short, I am on it, but network communication is so slow, it is slowing down the process.
Also, I have to make a release.
They had to freeze the wallet at trex so they wouldn't get flooded with support requests when people's withdraws and deposits didn't show up.

---

Please note it may take a few days, we're on it 100%.
thank you in advance for your patience

Daylight savings time in the us played a little trick on the stealthcoin network.
It also affects the Bittrex wallet. It'll take a couple hours to straighten out.

Everything is fine.

Guys Hondo maybe doesnt exist!!!

No, Hondo does or did exist, he wrote a software and his comments are all over the sourcecode.  Cheesy

The more interesting question is if the slack channel really (still) exists and how our friend MR1 came into existance. This somehow reminds me of an old Star Trek episode, where killer satellites defend the destroyed home planet of a long extinct species  Grin

Maybe I should change my cold medicine or reduce the dose.  Tongue

The point is that MR1 (the name fits somehow) manages the forum of a crypto project, that may be abandoned for quite some time already. At least there is no proof that the dev team still exists.

This is really funny in a very surreal way.  Grin

Maybe he wrote the code and disappeared like the creator of btc  Roll Eyes

In the end it does not matter. The relevant information for anyone who wants to take over the project is that MR1 is absolutely right: the existing codebase can just be cloned to a new repository and the existing blockchain can be hardforked. Everyone in the Stealthcoin community will move over to the new fork, because there is absolutely no incentive to keep the edited: (old) forked BC alive. Do not wait fir the lead devs, just do it.

The only risk would be that Hondo jumps out of the next rose bush and claims his project back, but even that would be a kind of a project success, right? And currently this does not seem to be very probable.

Edit: the term 'old' was ambiguous. I wanted to suggest a hardfork that keeps the existing tokens and abandons the forked chain.

Bigmac how is your hard-forking going on?

You can't claim a project that isn't yours.  Seriously.
Dev team still exists which has been stated several times in slack.

Wow XST pump? Also know XST come with smart contract call Stealthpay. OK go ahead and delete this post if I exposing something  Grin
I'm a little short of my 200,000 for donation

Man where do you get all this information?

I can't say much but it's there, I can't taking credit or exposing someone hard work for my 2 seconds of fame. My apology if I hurt the team at this point.

True, you can't say much because you know nothing.

1. Twitter: The account had roughly 22k fake followers, most of them bought (by someone)
A reset was long overdue because of all the notifications you get.
Not hard to understand, right?

2. and most importantly
I'm a designer by profession. If you get bored you start to work on something from time to time.
Just for the fun of it. stealthcoin.io is just 1 example out of many. I have many drafts, believe me.
You do it to get inspired for other jobs, try out new techniques, new plugins, whatever....

Maybe you should have read more carefully using your 'back door'. Content was copy/pasted from
other websites + it featured original Stealthcoin content from 2014. Not a single new line or word.
Designers call it 'placeholders' or 'dummy text'.

Sorry to annihilate your euphoria.
You're not exposing a single thing.

have a nice weekend.

hi guys, can someone tell me how to stake our BRK and BRX? i dont see the "stake" function in the wallet ..

thanks much appreciated

Stakes are automatically done.

I was about to ask a related question, though, so mine is... I'm a bit confused as to what stakes what. Based on what I understand:

BRX stakes SIS and BRK
BRK stakes BRK
SIS stakes SIS

Is this correct? If so, that means BRX is better to try and obtain than BRK?

If this is real, then it is the right way to stake. However, you need to check the stake amount you get and compare it for better staking. I need to read the threads to ensure if BRX can stake SIS AND BRK.

BRX is the staking currency.
BRX stakes BRK.

There's no other way to stake BRK.

The Deck / cards stake SIS.

BRK does not stake.

For the lazy ones....here's the full post about pricing:

===

Coin Sale Pricing at Bittrex

I’ve seen a lot of confusion about the coin sale pricing at the Bittrex sale page for Breakout Coin. In this post I hope to clear up much of that confusion.  For the impatient, the bottom line is that the real price one actually pays at the sale is much less than it appears on the sale page. Please keep reading to understand why.

As I type this, it takes 0.8695652 BTC to buy 1 “BRK Share”. A lot of readers may ask “Is this the right price?” Actually, the answer to that is no, it’s not the price of Breakout Coin, it’s the price of something that Bittrex calls “BRK Shares”, and is their answer to the fact that we only have a limited number of coins for sale.

When you purchase BRK at the Bittrex coin sale, you buy a fraction of the total number of coins for sale, proportional to the size of your purchase. The price reported is not the price of a BRK, but a placeholder price (BRK Shares) that is used to calculate how many BRK you will receive when the sale is complete.

Currently the price of 1 BRK is 0.00019323 BTC, or 5175 BRK/BTC.

This latter number, 5175 BRK/BTC, represents the current 15% bonus applied to the BTC. This means that the BTC itself is multiplied by 1.15 and applied to the “floor price” of 4500 BRK/BTC (0.000222). The math is 4500 * 1.15 = 5175.

Although you can estimate how much BRK you will be credited with by using this conversion, your projected balance may decrease if the total funds received in the coin sale exceeds 1,472.79 BTC.

So, what happens when we sell less than 1,472.79 BTC of BRK (applying bonuses to the BTC)? In this case we have unsold BRK that will be provably destroyed by Bittrex, and the 1 BTC with 15% bonus applied bought 5175 BRK (1.15 * 4500).

On the other hand, if we sell more than 1,472.79 BTC of BRK, the price of BRK goes up.

A couple of examples are below for the ambitious. They may be difficult to follow, so only press on if you are really motivated to understand the math.

enjoy the sale. Cheesy

I imported my coins into my wallet no problem. Nice. But how do I get my bonus card for helping with testing?

Cards were awarded by a provably fair free lottery. There was much advertisement and encouragement to enroll in the lotteries by providing your public key. All entrants were required to certify that they had safely stored their corresponding private keys. These certifications were recorded. Please locate the private key that you certified you safely stored and import it into your wallet using the debug console with the command "importprivkey".

Ok. I found the private key that I dumped and tried importing it and get the error Private has bad version byte. (code -5)

importprivkey <breakoutprivkey> [label] [ticker]

What should I fill in for label and ticker??

I used nothing but

importprivkey privkey

no label, no ticker

I hope people who are investing in Breakout would learn some little bit about James Stroud and his first Stealthcoin before making any rational decision, basically anyone invested in Stealthcoin now would be homeless, included myself.

So please I encourage everyone to look into this for a little bit. I will investing some BTC into Breakout in hope of recoup some of my lost in Stealthcoin. Thanks
