61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tornado Cash sanctions as the beginning of the end of privacy coins? on: October 29, 2022, 01:11:10 AM
Privacy coin seems to be loosing her relevance in the scheme of things as the prying eyes of the government through SEC is clubbing down through sanctions on platforms that in any way assist internet fraud in the actualization of their aims. The regulations coming into the industry may give reasons for privacy projects to be limited in scope so as to assist the government in getting the assistance they require.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: October 29, 2022, 12:44:07 AM
I'm yet to get a full grasp of what transpired few weeks ago that must have initiated the pump, but from the information I have the pump was short lived and its back to base presently. I personally have lost trust in the project and the pump won't make much difference since the market is bearish and the developers are not trustworthy.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 23, 2022, 02:20:06 PM
Litecoin has indeed been relegated for a very long time. We used to see litecoin to be potentially viable and promising like bitcoin, but it hasn't lived up to this expectations. Maybe because of the developers or something I can't tell but I still hope that litecoin would some day become a force to be reckon with in the cryptocurrency market.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse is the future on: October 17, 2022, 01:18:55 AM
The market seems to be in constant Flux and the decline of one hype leads to the birth of another. Developers always keep coming with one new stunt or another and metaverse seem to be on board now. Not really because of anything spectacular or innovative but because they know we're getting bored with NFTs.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 17, 2022, 12:35:05 AM
I agree with the fact that not all new projects are bad. The issue is not about whether the project is bad or not. It's about the extent of risk involved in choosing the right project and portfolio to build. Newbies are advised to focus on the old projects because of the fact that they have less risky tendency and good be worth more in the long term. Most new projects lacks foundation and newbies may not be able to decipher the signs which may lead to the project collapse.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need to ask this before I order for a Hardware wallet on: October 14, 2022, 01:37:14 AM
Most of my fund is on XRP and I am a long time believer of this project, price could dump more bit I care less for now because 2025 is my main target, now I oy care about keep the coins safe, Is XRP and XRP ledger working on your hardware wallet?

It's a nice idea for you to consider storing your ripples on a hard ware wallet since you are holding for long term. I really do hope that XRP would worth the sacrifice in the future because there seems to be a fundamental issue with that project that has warranted SEC going after the project. I pray they scale through the process and come back stronger.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the US being too hard on crypto? on: October 13, 2022, 01:42:46 AM
We need to understand that cryptocurrency is gaining more popularity and strength as the days go and it would take only a blind government to be unaware about this level of increase and popularity that cryptocurrency has gained over the years. In my opinion, the US government is trying to get their own share from the massive wealth of the cryptocurrency industry by bringing participants into the tax net and ensuring that regulations are attained to checkmate the excesses of users and developers.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest Heavily ALT now on: October 12, 2022, 03:59:30 PM
Its always better to invest in alt coin during the bear market. The bull market is the worst time to invest in any coin especially altcoin, so one has to decide which time is best suitable for investing especially as the market is volatile and we never can tell the extent of the dip. The main objective of every investor is profit maximization and that would be achieved with reduced or nil losses.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy wisely not because of anybody. on: October 12, 2022, 11:38:57 AM
It feels like the use of celebrities and influencers is gaining popularity in recent times. Crytocurrency projects now carry out endorsement for these celebrities and use influencers on social media especially Twitter to reach their target community. I hope we learn from the bad choices made in the past and inculcate strategies that would help in increasing our returns and reduce or eliminate losses.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who buys Coins from the Top50 will stay poor on: October 12, 2022, 09:55:52 AM
I personally would prefer to invest in high market capitalisation projects that those with low capitalisation. This is because, I'm of the opinion that the project with low market cap are relatively riskier. No doubt one could make a lot of money if they turn out right, but we never can tell if the project would still be existent in the near future. To maximize returns, it could be better to have both the high and low capitalisation projects in your portfolio Inorder to benefit from the two worlds.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get rid of useless tokens on: September 23, 2022, 02:31:28 AM
Is there any way to stop unwanted tokens deposits in my wallet? I have used two different types of crypto wallets and I keep getting tokens I know nothing about, I read that those tokens are scammers trap and moreover I never worked for it.

As long as you're using a smart contract inclined wallet, it would be impossible to escape from being spammed with unknown tokens. The best approach is to hide the unknown tokens from being visible on your wallet dashboard and strive to ensure that you don't share your wallet address carelessly. This may reduce the incident of spammed tokens but can't eliminate it.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No doubt POS is centralized on: September 22, 2022, 01:54:36 AM
Having to bother about ethereum being controlled by few addresses isn't necessary to me because that's how the entire altcoin in the industry operates. Infact, it's no news that whales are the true determinants of the trends in the market. Even though the industry is said to be decentralized, we know that the decentralisation favours a few as they can control the market. I personally believe that reducing the cost and fees in the ethereum blockchain is more important than the centralization issue because it's been there all along.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you stake stablecoins now? on: September 21, 2022, 01:54:32 AM
It's understandable to when past incidence are reviewed before making present decisions. There's no doubt that the issue of UST left scars in the heart of holders and Infact everyone who followed the news. But to be candid that issue was expected because we all know that altcoin are unstable and pegging a stable coin on an unstable altcoin could spell doom. I know usdt and busd are more reliable owing to the fact that the stability of the coin is pegged to fiat.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Proof of Work (ETHW): The Next Big Thing? on: September 04, 2022, 02:32:15 AM
It would be awesome to have a forked coin from ethereum as holders as well as miners would gain from the exercise. Though I have my doubts on the forked version of ethereum coming to play, but I'll love the initiative, if implemented because it would be beneficial to several persons including myself.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: September 04, 2022, 02:17:58 AM
Staking is basically for the rich with idle funds. The percentage may seem small but when computed against a more substantial amount, you'll find that the percentage is good, considering the fact that you don't need to do anything and your capital is intact. I know they are staking with higher percentage in terms of interest, but there could be higher risk attached as your capital could be compromised.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokpie Exchange is a pure Scam. Be warned!!!! on: September 01, 2022, 02:18:31 PM
My Tokpie Exchange journey, i deposited my fund to trade their. I bought the native token of the exchange (TKP) but i can't trade it back to Eth, BNB, USDC or WBTC.
I wrote to support and they told me that i should place order based on their terms or forget about it. But the evil part of it is that they are selling below the price they want us to place.

Trading on tokpie exchange would require a lot of patience because the exchange volume is very low and most of the trades you find are actually bots.

Secondly, the rules are that you can only sell at a value that is higher than the earliest buy order. It means that you can't sell to the highest bidder. This is frustrating, but I guess it was implemented to guide against fall in the value of TKP.

The exchange is rarely been used for trading as the major reason why most people had to use it was for bounty and they had a program that allows hunters to convert bounty stakes to valuable asset like eth, usdt, etc. I doubt this is still in place.

Another reason why people patronize the exchange could be because of the periodic airdrops that is given to holders of the TKP tokens. From the information I have, holders of over 20,000 TKP are entitled to monthly airdrops in bnb, usdt, etc. I don't have up to that amount and don't receive airdrops, but that's the information that I got from their website.

Kindly note that I'm not trying to advertise the exchange and have not benefited from any of their offers.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 31, 2022, 03:43:22 PM
Keep or sell ethereum before the merge?

I've made some researches and found plenty of rumors saying that ethereum will dump after the merge and why's that?

We've heard opposing view as to what would become the fate of ethereum after the merge. Some persons are of the opinion that the value of ethereum would dump and others are of the opposite opinion.

I'm of the opinion that ethereum would pump after the merge and would prefer to keep mine and await the outcome of the merge.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run and Bear Market on: August 31, 2022, 02:01:48 PM
This is a simple question, When this bearish market end and Bull run start.
Thanks

That's a million dollar question, as there's no one that could answer such question, perfectly. We could only give some assumptions based on expectations but that's not certain. Most people tend to assume that the bitcoin halving which happens every four years is a clear indication, but the market has many more forces than the halving which could influence the price.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 23, 2022, 04:06:04 PM
There are some indicators that tells us that a project is doing well and has the potential to become greater in the future. Some of the indicators are the presence of a knowledgeable team. In most cases, the team members are made known to the public. Their resume are also accessible and investors have the right to verify their records and previous experience to decipher how knowledgeable they are.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will get more demand on: August 23, 2022, 08:51:00 AM
I agree with you, regarding the potential growth of ethereum demand. The value of ethereum may increase substantially because whales would be interested in the staking benefits and as such we may have less dumping and since miners are no longer rewarded, this would also contribute to lesser dumping.
