I want to choose crypto currency trading as a career but I feel like I need to know a lot about it to choose it as a career and I don't think there is anything better to do from here.
As I am new to this place I am trying to know which aspects I can take Cryptocurrency trading as my career if I know well.
Do not take trading as a career. It will not be helpful. Have something else that is your primary source of income and begin trading with small amount of money that you can afford to lose. See trading as gambling, although it is not gambling but it is as risky as gambling. After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including - - Technical analysis
- Fundamental analysis
- Candle Analysis
Yes it is very important to learn technical and fundamental analyses. But trading is more than that, you need to have strategies that can help you not to lose more than gain. |

Trading is not for everyone. Just like you, you should have now understood that trading is not for you. You can be patient and just hold which would help you than to be trading and continuing losing. But that do not mean that some people are not making profit from trading.
Exactly my thought. If being an investor works for you, stick to it but if trading works for you, go ahead and trade. Just like me, I know trading is not my thing 😅 |

I can't explain to myself how in this digital age we live in, we have so many threads on this forum where people want to have everything handed to them on a platter instead of searching for themselves.
I have nothing personal against you, OP, but if we had the demerit function, I would give you a demerit for this post.
Lol... I Hope all that you know both in and outside of this forum were all self-taught. Sorry, i already got the information i needed. I wasn't even interested in your merit because i already know stingy people don't give merit. |

Good question. before you go ahead to buy any token or coin, you should ask yourself these questions "am i buying to hold for long term or for short term, what is the utility of this token or coin, who are the team behind the project, what exchange is the token or coin listed" once you are able to get the right answer to those questions, it will guide you in making the right decision. I observed several changes in the price within a few months. With these changes, I wish to ask do you think the price of Bitcoin will ever hit $40k again?

Still remember The MT GOX rehabilitation plan made on October 20th 2021? Oh! Let's recall the past.
On 24th February 2014, MT GOX exchange was hacked. The exchange lost about 850,000 BTC which 750,000 Btc belongs to investors while 100 BTC belongs to mt gox. Before the hack in 2014 there was a massive bull run where btc went from $13 in 2013 to $1182 in 2014 with a 9000% profit. In 2016 MT GOX went bankrupt with a total lost of roughly 2.4 trillion worth of btc. This impacted on the market so much bringing btc down to 36%.
Back to the MT GOX rehabilitation plan. MT Gox promised to compensate the investors who lost their funds during the hack with 137,000 BTC This August 2022.
Note: on July 6th, 2022 we heard on news that an email was sent to the investors that lost their funds during mt gox hack giving them option to specify if they would to receive in BTC , BCH or USTD.
Now, let's go deeper. With 137,000 BTC worth roughly $2.8 billion or let's say $3 billion in the hands of investors, what do you expect they do with it? I see the number of investors that will selloff to regain what they lost outweighing the few that will decide to still hold. offcurse the sellof won't happen all at once. Considering the principle of the market, if the number of investors that will sellof outweighs those that will HOLD, what do you think will happen to Bitcoin? I will leave you to answer that.
Well, like they said, you can only predict the market but can't be 100% sure of your prediction. Let's watch and see.

For a crypto beginner like me is the so-called whitepaper some I should count on when doing research? people are still talking about the whitepaper of crypto projects but few people said it doesn't matter.
In as much as reading through the white paper is not the only tool when Fundamentally assessing a project. It's always good to read the white paper to have a background knowledge of the project. No good or bad project is without a whitepaper. Yes, white paper is still a thing . |

Centralized exchange controls lots of investors funds making it site of attraction for hackers who continuously device means to pull funds from the centralized exchanges. You all still remember the 24th Feb. 2014, Mt gox exchange hack? Where huge amount of money was lost to hackers which lead to BTC drastic price fall.
To avoid stories that touches, I suggest holding assets in Decentralized wallet. Remember "Not your keys not your wallet"

You wouldn't know Bitcointalk is big place until you become one of it member, bitcointalk is more than a place a place to ask questions and get fast reply, you wouldn't know the value until you become one of the user.
I joined this forum due to my little-late knowledge about bitcoin, I was searching and opening different tabs and I don't know which bring me to bitcointalk, I have read some guide and tutorials and I'm Amazed by how some members quickly reply questions when someone is ignorant of some things about bitcoin.
I am going through the forum and I have found some interesting things in the forum that are more exciting than been a guest, there are could be more I don't know yet but the ones I have seen are fun and interesting when you register in this forum.
These few things I found are more engaging when you become one of it member and they include:
(1)Ask Questions: I am still learning what the circle of Bitcoin and to facilitate this understanding and comprehend things faster, you have to ask questions and to that, you need to be registered as a member to do that, you can't ask questions in Bitcointalk unless you register as a new member.
(2)There is dedicated Local board for popular languages: Bitcointalk forum isn't just a place for only English discussion, they have locals where you can communicate with other members of you can't speak your language of countries like Russia, India, Arabic, Turkey, China, and many more. They also have unofficial thread for other languages that are not yet available like Naija unofficial board. I will also be happy when Theymos approved our Naija board.
(3)Open Market for Trades: Bitcointalk has market where the member can trade openly with everyone, you can exchange your bitcoin and other coins with any buyer you desire and the help of Trust system in everyone profile has make this more transparent to sport who has good reputation with positive feedback and a likely scammers with negative feedback. An outsider cannot do this unless when you register in Bitcointalk, this is one of the merit you get over a guest.
(4)The Private Message: I like Bitcointalk because your privacy is respected, you can communicate with any other member of the forum without third person knowing what you are talking about. The demerit of this is that, newbies cannot message other members, they are restricted by default but ranks above can make use of this feature and communicates effectively.
(5)The Ranking system: This is one the part that make bitcointalk lively, the more you stay here and post, the more your activity increases and the more merit you get too but not always and the more your rank increases. This also contribute to your knowledge in the forum because since I joined the forum, I have learnt many things like exposing some cheaters.
This are the few I have learned and I am looking forward to increase my findings about bitcointalk and everything behind bitcoin, one day I will look back and smile at my Genesis.

Do you think that Metaverse will actually work out in the future? I am one of the very few that believes that Metaverse won't be successful because what the world cares about the most is the most needy, I asked myself if metaverse is really needy and I can't seem to find an answer, what about you?/
In my own personal opinion, I believe Metaverse is going to thrive in the future. The founder of Facebook, Microsoft and Google have all declared interest in the Metaverse technology and are seriously building infrastructures for it. Soon you won't have to travel to another country just to party with your favorite artist. A project called Animal Concerts is already revolutionizing the music industry where fans can party with their favorite artists in the Metaverse. Humans will always want to explore and I see Metaverse technology as tool for exploration especially in the entertainment industry. |

Well, i already have my reservations when it comes to regulating Cryptocurrency. From my interaction with friends, it's seems regulating the activities in the cryptospace will facilitate mass adoption of Crypto currencies and reduce the rate at which projects rug pulls. But then, if we accept crypto regulations, what happens to the decentralized feature of crytocurrency/blockchain?
