1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Get-Bitcoin.Com: Reviews Thread on: October 02, 2011, 05:36:43 PM
Earlier, I showed some skepticism in this thread about the validity of get-bitcoin as I didn't see much reviews about them in this thread or forum. However, at another forum people were discussing favorite exchanges and a lot of people were bringing up get-bitcoin, plus I liked the fact they were accepting MoneyPak's which most others have stopped accepting!

So I placed an order at their site, sent them my MP code and then went to bed. That was 8 hours ago.
Today I wake up and I had just gotten my coins 1 hour ago! I even got the coins at the max value I entered! Cheesy
So yeah, it was a good and quick experience, I got my coins now and I'm happy!
If anyone else is wondering if they're trustable or not I can tell you they're the real deal!
If you're considering going with them then hopefully this will help ease your worries as well. Tongue
2  Economy / Currency exchange / MoneyPak for BTC on: October 02, 2011, 08:04:16 AM
Hey, I'm looking to buy $100 of BTC with my MoneyPak card.
I was looking at around $5.00 per coin (around 20 BTC I guess), anyone interested?
I don't mind going first but obviously the other has to be trustable and have a good history. Tongue

EDIT:
I've already dealt with someone now, so this thread should be closed. Tongue
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BitcoinExchange.cc - BTC/SLC - Western Union, MoneyGram, MoneyPak, ACH/Wire, on: September 13, 2011, 08:01:34 PM
Well for what it's worth, I dealt with BE.cc about a month ago (I'm sure I posted in this thread a few pages ago) and I can say that BE.cc is not (or was not) a scammer and I did get my coins, but BE.cc is slow to respond and ship out your coins once you place you order. Plus I felt cheated because after placing my order, he didn't send the coins til like 2-3 days later when the coins went up like 25%. All in all it took like 4 days to get my coins. Undecided

However, with the amount of bad complaints, the long time it takes for him to even check back on this forum and the time it takes to process his orders, I would say just go with someone else now.
BitcoinBux for example is a great exchanger. Even when I was having trouble with BE.cc, BitcoinBux was fast and responsive to my emails. I even told Bux about my situation and they agreed to try my MP card so I placed an order and like 10 minutes later I recieved my email from them, though they couldn't do anything cause the MP card had already been cashed (I didn't know that til they told me this) but it was nice to see them respond fast to their orders. Smiley

I only wish Bux still took MP cards. Sad

Hmm, I don't mean to sound like I'm bashing or something, but is Get-Bitcoin really trustable? It looks like they've been here for only 2 months, yet this is the only thread I've seen about Get-Bitcoin, and it only has a few posts with a nearly 1 month delay from the last post (2 days ago) to the previous post before that. Huh

However I was looking at Get-bitcoin cause it seems that they are the only ones who still take Moneypaks.
BitcoinBux stopped accepting them and BitcoinExchange, well, I didn't have the best experience with them. Undecided

Only problem is that it looks like you have to mail the MP card to them, whereas the other 2 exchanges I mentioned only required you send them the scratch off code, which is much faster.

I was just wondering, since MoneyPak is no longer accepted, I noticed that Bux still lists NetSpend cards on their site (and even bill it as the perfect alternative to MoneyPaks), so are NetSpend cards still accepted and does it work the exact same way as a MoneyPak card? Smiley

Well, I got my coins! Cheesy It took about a day or so for him to send my coins after I placed my order using a MoneyPak code.

Originally though, I thought he hadn't sent my coins yet. I kept waiting for the coins to show up in my client and they weren't there, but it turns out I just hadn't downloaded the block that contained my transaction yet. I figured this out when I decided to do a search of my btc address today on blockexplorer and saw that he had sent the coins already.

So in my case, even though he sent the coins out to me within a day, I thought it took longer because I didn't see them in my wallet yet. Tongue
It might help if in the future, he would let you know he sent the coins out, this way you don't think you've been ignored or scammed.

So yeah, make sure you have the latest block chain downloaded so they'll show up pretty quickly in your wallet (unless you use an online wallet, in which case they probably have the latest block chain).
It'll keep you from freaking out over your coins as I did. Grin

Damn, haven't received the coins yet, though he was in contact with me a few times before the order was placed and once after my order was placed.
Hopefully it'll be soon though, I expect he'll be back shortly! Tongue

Just placed an order for some coins using a Moneypak. Hope I get the coins quickly! Cheesy
I'll post back either tomorrow or when I get my coins and keep you updated.

Hello guys, I just registered today, though I've been lurking for the last year or so atleast. Tongue
I've been interested in bitcoins for a while but I still haven't actually gotten any yet lol. I saw they were at 50 cents for the longest time and didnt seem to be going up, so I thought bitcoin wasn't ever going to take off. Boy was I wrong... Roll Eyes
12  Other / Beginners & Help / BitcoinBux Xchange or BitcoinExchange? on: July 20, 2011, 05:22:11 AM
Hey guys. I am looking to buy some bitcoins but I am trying to decide between the 2 sites mentioned in the subject.

I am planning to buy the coins using a MoneyPak, so therefore I can only purchase from sites that accept MoneyPak's, specifically those 2 sites seem to be the best sites that accept MoneyPak's.

However, I cant decide between the 2 sites. BitcoinBux has only been around like 2.5 weeks, so it's hard to judge if they're truly trustable or not. BitcoinExchange has been around since April and has done a lot of transactions and gained a lot of trust.
However, BitcoinExchange seemed to come to a halt somewhere in June and started taking forever to send peoples funds atleast from what I've read (unless thats changed). BitcoinBux apparently isn't taking forever right now, and their fee is half a percent cheaper but I don't know if they can be trusted?

Has anyone dealt with either site very recently (like in the last couple days) and used a MoneyPak to buy their coins? How did it go? Who do you guys recommend?

This is probably why everyone has always said it's never a good idea to send cash in the mail... Roll Eyes
