install a surge suppressor between you miners and the wall outlet it stops power "noise" from traveling both directions.  Not a $10 power strip, but a real surge suppressor.
2  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: MiningHardware.co.uk - WORLD WIDE SHIPPING on: January 30, 2014, 03:48:30 AM
so when will the 120GH/s units arrive?  I didn't see a schedule or guess as to when that unit was to appear....

any guess on price?

NineLives, can't believe your patience and willingness in dealing with someone who is obviously litigious and juvenile.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hearing on BTC in senate NOW on: November 18, 2013, 11:09:22 PM
So the big question that I heard from the Chairman was to the first Panel "What do you need from the legislative branch?" and all 3 panel members basically stated that they were doing fine with the tools(laws) currently on the books.

That's a huge plus for bitcoin with the apparent lack of need for more legislation.

I watched the entire presentation and I felt it went well for the bitcoin community.
4  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: NEW PRICE! RED FURY is back! 2.6Gh/s USB - IN HAND, Ships to you today on: October 31, 2013, 08:59:34 PM
Or buy one blade eruptor for 1.1 BTC, don't have to deal with any hubs that way either. More than double the hashrate for the same price, and no $$ wasted on hubs.

Plus you can overclock them  Grin

alot of guys dont have the knowhow to config or install the blades

"alot" of guys must be total idiots than   Huh Huh

Easier to set a blade up than one of these USB miners I bet  Cheesy

I have to agree completely.  when I got my first blade it only took me 10 minutes to have it up and hashing for me....my USB eruptors took significantly longer!

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / USB block erupter repair??? on: August 09, 2013, 05:21:23 PM
I have one of these little gems and it isn't recognized when it gets plugged in  and all of the others I have work like a charm.

Was wondering if anyone had attempted any repairs on these devices and if so, what have you done and were you successful?

Thanks,

Neptune
8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: August 09, 2013, 03:16:38 PM
yeah... how about you let new users only purchase something if they have the amount in their bitmit wallet? I guess that would be the easiest solution
this is actually a good idea and you get to sit on those btcs even longer Wink

So speaking as a customer on BitMit, that would mean I would have to keep bitcoin in my BitMit wallet and that's not something I like to do.  Or I would have to transfer Bitcoin twice to pay for an item.  That would make using BitMit less convenient.

I personally have only made purchases on BitMit, and I like how its setup and I like the process.

But this is just one geeks opinion.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW ASIC 10 Giga hash / sec Bitcoin miner - anybody interested ? on: August 09, 2013, 03:10:13 PM
I have to agree, the .25BTC per Gh/s would be a great place to be...so about 2.5 BTC per unit
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW ASIC 2 Giga hash / sec USB miner - anybody interested ? on: July 24, 2013, 09:01:48 PM
Put it around the $50/GH and you will have me interested.

I saw alot of 'reported' disconnects yesterday on the website UI, but my miners were working the entire time and reported no errors on my end.  I viewed it as the server side being under a great deal of load and not being able to update stats fast enough....

this same thing was happening a few weeks ago then something changed and it all got better....we are going back to the not so good state with regards to stats.  Don't get me wrong, this is my favorite pool and I want it to succeed, that is the only reason I'm posting what I'm seeing.  I'm hoping this will help improve customer experience.

The site responds to pings and rather quickly, Non SSL page is up and running, but as stated above...no love for Login...kinda makes it useless...
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: July 13, 2013, 02:24:54 AM
Actually I got 2 of the 3 miners working which is great, but the third just wont show up as anything other than "Unknown Device" and the 'Bridge' drivers won't install on that device...I've contacted the guy I bought them from and he is willing to try to get it to work and send me an alternate.

Like them so much I bought 3 more yesterday...

Thanks for the help!

16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: July 11, 2013, 01:04:47 PM
Ok, I've tried this every way I can think...  can't get the zadig drivers to install...when I plug in the AsicMiner I get an error 43...

This is the only thing that has seemed to work(but obviously doesn't)   I plug in the miner, go to device manager and uninstall it, open Zadig and install the WinUSB driver, it says it installs successfully, device manager never changes and I never get a prompt to reboot...

I have installed the CP210x driver also...nothing...  If I try to install the Zadig WinUSB driver without first uninstalling the default driver in Device manager, the install fails.

Anything would help at this point and a big Thanks in advance, this community always steps up!

P.S. when I install the driver from Zadig, the device disappears from the list in Zadig.

Not sure if you've gotten it working yet, but this (linked earlier in this thread, I think) got me working on 3.1.1:
http://rdmsnippets.com/tag/install-block-erupter-on-windows-7/

Note: don't reset them to WinUSB after installing the other drivers.  Just make sure that they are listed as having COM#, and then specify the COM# in your shortcut or batch file, and you should be ok.

Ya I've been every permutation of these instructions I can think of and I get the same "no go" situation...  When I plug the devices(I have 3) into any USB port it is reported that there is a problem with the device and it is shut down.  Error 43.  I have tried this on 4 different systems and I get the same error from all 3 USB miners.   The actual information when you look at the properties of the device is:  "Windows has stopped this device becuase it has reported problems. (code 43)"

any further assistance would be greatly appreciated!
