Threw my measly 50 Mhash/s in. Lets get to finding that 3rd block Smiley
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your Mhash/s? (Pissing contest here) on: July 28, 2011, 05:52:07 AM
HIS 4850, Windows 7. Running at 69% and getting 66 degrees celcius heat, fan running at 60% - 50 Mhash/s

Living in a tropical country does'nt bode well for mining.

Hopefully can get my hands on a 5850/5870 soon.
3  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2220 GH/s] Slush's Bitcoin Mining Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz) on: July 26, 2011, 11:11:55 AM

I'm very busy in those days, but I almost finished testing of newest bitcoind (with my custom patches), which will make this possible. As new bitcoind will be used by the pool, I'll enable full decimal payout - in fact it is one line change...

Thanks for working on it. Hope it gets done soon. Those decimals mean a lot to my 50 Mhash/s Smiley

Personally, I don't mind the images. Adds a bit of color to the conversation. I'd rather have more users contribute in any possible way, beneficial or not.

To impose any sort of limit on the so called 'quality' of users seems to run against everything bitcoin stands for.

All this gatekeeper mentality is exactly what Bitcoin is good for.

Now we need Bitcoin equivalents to Facebook(is it even possible? anonymous social networking?) and Apple/Itunes.

Its been far too long we're subject to their whims and fancies.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Desktop Monitoring app for Windows 7 for Mining on: July 25, 2011, 11:14:20 AM
Hi guys,

Can anyone reccommend an app for monitoring the temps for the CPU/GPU? Ideally it ought to be able to adjust fan speeds as well.

As it is now, I've got the CCC, the guiminer, speedfan open just to see temps and fan speeds.

Thanks for the assist. Sorry should have read through a bit more.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Bandwidth needed for Mining on: July 21, 2011, 08:56:01 AM
Hi, did'nt come across this question yet, but will bandwidth affect mining?

Currently getting 53 Mhash/s, on a 2048 kbps upload / 512 kbps download line. Miserable numbers I know Smiley.

Hi, heard about bitcoin through the news of Pascazi's scheme to rip off the trademark.

Well, I'm from Malaysia, and have lurked in here for a while. Great to see how helpful the community is and looking forward to decentralising currency(Hope bitcoin gets widely adopted).

Did you try adding a switch to the miner to let the GPU 'rest'? Try '-s 0.01' and adjust the number till it meets your preferred temp.

It will lower your mhash/s, though.
