1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FILE-SHARING ICO - Upfiring on: October 26, 2017, 04:44:40 AM
Few days ago I dia an article on steemit about Upfiring ICO.

Take a look and if you like it please upvote and comment.
Follow me for news and reviews on cryptocurrency.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@correia/my-ico-s-or-upfiring-ufr

Please give me some feedback. I'm starting on steemit.

That article is really solid. And yes CarlosCorreia I agree myfranco they could run into legal issues, but uTorrent/bitTorrent seems to be doing fine and its essentially the same thing minus the blockchain/coin aspect.

Have a quick look at Internxt

-approx. 1.6m mcap
-600,000 ish max supply
-seems to have a dedicated CEO with experience and big focus on communication through social channels
-alpha product scheduled for Jan 2018

I like your thinking, just focus on the small mcap's with potential. So true, any of the huge movers over the past few years had to start here too

Why such a small market cap? Is that enough to fund the entire project?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot ICOs of October with low market caps on: October 23, 2017, 04:39:28 AM

I am interested to know what everyone would classify as a ideal market cap.

5 million and under?
10 million and under?
15 million and under?
20 million and under?
25 million and under?

$15m and under is what I invest in, and every single ICO I did was very profitable. I might go for a bigger cap if the idea is really good or it has hype around it (like Kyber), but these days pretty much every ICO with over $15m is going to trade under ICO price.

The thing is that ICOs are trying to raise so much money these days. Come on, noone needs $85m to make a decentralized exchange or something. If I was to start a business, I would be super happy to get $500k-1m loan, ICO guys these days are not even happy with $50m. That's a huge amount of money for an idea.

Yep, my most recent were Upfiring and Enjincoin (from this list). Both low market caps and look pretty promising imo.

Really excited for Upfiring, and they have a very small market cap.

What happens if our member rank changes mid-campaign? Does the multiplier then change or are you stuck with the one you started with?

Although Viuly has a website quite beautiful and an idea interesting, but this project did not attractive much investors know it. Of course, I understand we have a lot of potential projects at present, so the competition is very fierce.

What is the link?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FILE-SHARING ICO - Upfiring on: October 14, 2017, 09:11:36 PM
The reason P2P file sharing projects are failing is not the tech but the business side of it. Content owners have no lack of bandwidth or storage space, therefore there's no need for them to be interested in P2P unless it lowers their costs substantially while at the same time providing them with the same level of control.

But it seems Upfiring isn't about renting storage space, it's about getting paid in crypto for seeding and file-sharing?

This is correct. After reading the whitepaper it's a solid project imo.

www.commerceblock.com

Is definitely the top ICO coming out...
Has a unique a BIP and slick github repo.

What is so revolutionary about CommerceBlock that hasn't been done 100x before already?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FILE-SHARING ICO - Upfiring on: October 14, 2017, 08:17:34 AM
Upfiring - Incentivized and decentralized file-sharing
https://www.upfiring.com

Looks like they're going to offer tokens to people who seed files on their platform, kind of like uTorrent but you get crypto rewards.

Definitely looks very interesting. Seen it talked about favorably on reddit as well. Would you invest?
Hopefully, if this is done well, it would be a huge one for the project. The idea is great, not like it is new as we already have some projects already but not really doing quite much about it. If this can work, then there is a possibility of seeing much more light at the end and it is really not a bad idea to invest in.

I remember the days when copy-right issue killed the file hosting industry. I pray that not to happen into blockchain based era too.

Agreed. It's crazy that with all the blockchain projects out there, nobody's tackled P2P file-sharing successfully yet. Huge potential for this project if they can do it successfully.

With all the cracking down on p2p sharing, I also share your surprise that all the past projects trying to solve it have not been successful. But this clearly goes to show that a LOT of projects on crypto and ICOs have wonderful ideas but do not have the devs with correct knowledge to pull it off. People think all they need to do is make a smart contract token and the work is done. But there are truly so few actual blockchain devs who know what they are doing.

That's why the space is so crazy right now. It's young - very few dApps are more than a year or two old. That's why investors are going crazy right now - trying to pick out the next big project before it happens, because inevitably all this craziness will make those people very rich in a few years.

Just look at all the people who bought Amazon stock in its infancy and held it in 2000-2002...

I see no bounty for forum participants.
very sorry. some large ICOs may already have their own community so they do not need advertising to expose their products. if any, i will be first.  Grin

I too would like to see a bounty for this project.

Just an FYI, I emailed them and they said they're going to be doing one here within the next month.

For members here only or for everyone? Where are they announcing it?

Members here only, tiered. In the next week apparently.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Small projects that have room for potential realistic 10x-50x growth on: October 14, 2017, 05:07:43 AM
I love investing in small market cap projects (5-15 million) and have made a ton doing so already by guessing correctly. I put 20 ETH into DNT during their ICO and sold it on the way up at 17x (it maxed at 25x) for close to 331 ETH. I sold my QRL for 15x the ICO price right after it hit exchanges. And now I'm up 5x on Chainlink already...still holding it though.

My question is - what are the next projects with the potential for this kind of growth? I ONLY want to hear about very small cap but otherwise solid projects. I don't care if an ICO is inventing the next wheel - if they're asking for 150 million I don't care to invest in it.
You tell us, for your investments appeared to be extremely successful. After investing in eth and ltc which turned out great, I tries to make short-term investments but as a result lost about 35% of initial investment already. Seeing how fast btc grows I am trying to think that probably the easiest solution is the best one. Maybe we should stop thinking so hard about proper investments in altcoins and simply keep the money in btc.

Ok - the two best, small market cap projects I've found over the last week are Upfiring and Enjincoin. I'm still open to suggestions but I have a lot of faith that these two will see much higher prices than their current ICO caps.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Small projects that have room for potential realistic 10x-50x growth on: October 13, 2017, 03:32:25 AM
It is nearly impossible to find potential 50x coin. I would personally seek 2x 3x coins much better than seeking 50x. It is basically gambling buying those ultra cheap coins to wait a year.

I agree. You can't look for 50x coins, it's impossible to know. But 2x-5x coins are easy to spot out (Chainlink anyone?) during ICOs, and then you can hold it and potentially make more long-term.

You're both right.  Unless you're psychic, there's just no way other than taking your best educated guess.  Some have a gift for good guessing, others don't.  Hehe

You can tell a lot of the time though. Projects that have solid, realistic ideas, strong marketing and good whitepapers as well as community support almost always take off. Even if just in the short-term.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot ICOs of October with low market caps on: October 12, 2017, 11:51:14 AM
I've invested in just about all of these. Going to be a good couple of months  Wink
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot ICOs of October with low market caps on: October 12, 2017, 09:19:46 AM
I think some ICO in October is very nice and promising:
1. STK: https://stktoken.com/
2.  Bankera: https://bankera.com/
3. Platform Notary: http://notary-platform.com/; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2105783.0

I will invest in 3 ICO above. Good luck
I have never heard of the first two but notary platform is having good support on the forum and also have a great marketing team and concept, I also am thinking of investing some into it and in Ambrosus, they also have a great team and also the whitepaper is very well written.

You're too late for Ambrosus FYI.
