1  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: April 15, 2024, 02:45:15 PM
Quote
Cryptocurrencies can be decentralized but centralized exchanges and centralized wallets are not decentralized, only centralized exchanges and wallets is what I are talking about. For people that are using decentralized wallets, there is nothing because the have the control, not the exchanges. But Russians can turn to decentralized means though.

Even from Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao himself saying that cryptocurrencies won’t help evade sanctions.

But from my own perspective, Russia can possibly evade sanctions if they turn towards full decentralization or exchanges refusing to ban Russians from using their respective platforms. Like for instance, mandating all businesses to accept crypto payments by using non-custodial wallets.

No matter what CZ says, it needs to be noted that CZ denied blocking Russian accounts from Binance through a rightful decision. So not sure why he thinks that cryptos can't help Russia evade the sanctions.

Russia can certainly try this. But considering the global sentiment is against Russia right at this moment, it may not be beneficial for them. Their internal economy can be supported by cryptos but the global trade won't go through crypto route.

Similar issue of this nature is already playing out in the situation between Israel and Iran. BingX has been called out to be rendering some sort of support to the Iranians by allowing them carry out transaction which is aiding their terrorist actions, this obviously is against the rules by the regulatory bodies.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange native tokens Vs Wallet native tokens on: April 15, 2024, 02:28:52 PM
I've never been particularly drawn to either exchange or wallet native tokens, but I'm intrigued to delve into them now. The recent buzz surrounding BNB, OKB, and BGB has caught my attention. These tokens, especially BNB and BGB, have exhibited considerable strength, largely due to the heightened demand to participate in launchpool, launchpad and other related event that drive the demand for the use of these tokens

BNB has surged nearly 80% over the past year, while BGB has stolen the spotlight with an impressive 190% gain. Although OKB hasn't made any significant moves recently, its potential shouldn't be overlooked.

On the other hand, wallet tokens have also been performing decently, although perhaps not as strikingly as those from centralized exchanges. Among them, Trust Wallet and C98 Wallet have caught my eye. I have a hunch that wallet tokens might start showing impressive price action as we approach the post-halving period, thanks to an anticipated uptick in transactions. I'm particularly curious about the potential of BWB token for the Bitget wallet, set to launch soon with an airdrop in play.

What are your thoughts on the speculative potential of BWB?
No doubt BGB has been exceptional amidst other exchange tokens, its movement in compare to others can not be overemphasized, while BNB has also been moving great BGB on the other hand is taking the lead. $BWB also has the potential to breed such productivity, exchange token and wallet token with good prospect should never be neglected. Buy $BGB, $BNB and $BWB
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Only In a Coin that Increase in Value in this Bull Run. on: March 24, 2024, 06:12:45 PM
If a Coin or a Cryptocurrency Project that has been launched and it is not increasing in value in the bull market while others are increasing tremendously, I advise you not to invest in that coin because if invest in it and it's not increase in value now till the bear market again then when do you think the coin will increase for you to make a profit. Investment is all about calculation and wisdom and just throwing your money in the ocean and thinking that one day you will make when the water rise. Investing in altcoins is a very good idea and decision but invest wisely and not to regret later because the coin you invested was nothing but a cymbal drum from the ecosystem to make noise for recognition and the developers of such coins are not to make you benefits from them but for them to make money or profit from you as you invest.

And those kind of projects are the once always having one problem to the other. Upgrading issues, site maintaining issues, and others issues so before you know that they have collapsed in the midst of confusion. Please steer clear and buy and invest in popular well known altcoins projects like Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin, dogecoin, and few more. Avoid any coin that is not improving in value.
The truth is most coins will definitely experience an upsurge during the bullrun as the supply will massively increase and everyone will be ready to make profit. You have to be careful regardless on you buy coins, there are some exchanges with good projects just like Bitget, binance and the likes, it will be very easy to spot good projects during the bull run on those exchanges.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Everyone" is all wrong about Bitcoin... on: March 24, 2024, 06:01:58 PM

Almost everyone is wrong, and only because; Bitcoin is not at all about all the deep dips but the stabile growth with the high peaks. That's it and that's all of what most of them just don't get.
You won’t say anyone is wrong, when it comes to BTC lately the best you can do is to DCA and follow up the market till the bull run comes if not you will either buy too high or miss out totally. There exchanges that helps you achieve this through their automated bot just like smart portfolio bot on Bitget exchange.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too advanced to get into Bitcoin now? on: February 26, 2024, 03:47:05 PM
Cryptocurrency prices have increased by 118% compared to last year. Similarly, prices are increasing by almost 83% in the last 04 months. The dramatic history price of Bitcoin peaks and the recent buzz around its upcoming "halving" its only fair to pose the most obvious question in front of us that-
Did the Bitcoin flight already leave investors? or is there still time to buy a ticket?

The attractions of Bitcoin investments has always been double the potential for significant returns and its suggested role as digital gold.Historically Bitcoin has rewarded the bold to investors. For the next "halving" currently on track for April, another bull run seems highly likely. Recent price gains although this potential wave should take Bitcoin to a whole other level as it did after the May 2020, July 2016 and November 2012.
If you buying ahead of the bull market, BTC is definitely going to get to it’s all time high and still move above it. You can utilize exchanges like Bitget in order to buy the coin using DCA techniques.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 26, 2024, 03:42:26 PM
Knowing fully well that there is so many uneducated people around the world, how can cryptocurrency increase the standard of living
There are many ways in which cryptocurrency can increase people’s standard of living  especially in a situation where you know how to fully utilize the opportunities within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Just like using Bitget Copy trading to make profit and also using the flexible savings program in order to make APR.

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to start trading? on: February 13, 2024, 03:12:09 PM
Up until now I have been just buying and patiently waiting for the bull run but in the last week I have seen 2 altcoins I was interested in pump up 40% in less than 24 hours so want to try make some money and give trading a go.

What is the best site for this in the UK?

I am only going to start with $200 roughly to see what I can turn it into over the next few weeks and months as the market is starting to get very volatile so could be good opportunity to make some extra money which would then mean I can invest more into my long term plays.
That’s a good bold step to take btw. Also as for the right exchange to use, personally I will recommend exchanges that will help you as regard to your trading journey. Exchanges like Bitget and Binance are currently the leading derivative exchanges, though I will recommend Bitget to you because of its features like the copy trading, bot trading and also the Smart portfolio bot; these are tools that will help you in your trading journey.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship Between Cryptocurrency and Traditional Banking on: February 13, 2024, 03:00:15 PM
Hello everyone a very good day you all.

So, let’s talk about this interesting duo: cryptocurrency and traditional banking. Some say traditional banks are threatened by crypto’s rise, while others think they’re starting to see the potential and hopping on the bandwagon. Either way, it’s a fascinating dynamic to watch unfold. What do you think? Are they destined for a happily ever after or is this just a temporary fling?

Let me know your thoughts on this.
Cryptocurrency has never being a threat to traditional banking, as a matter of fact if banks are smart it should be an opportunity to make more income for themselves. Some countries ban cryptocurrency because of their inability to make provision to help curtail how people launder money with crypto, as time goes on some countries are already unbanning it. Countries like India has a full support for cryptocurrency where an exchange like Bitget is also supporting them with resources for adopting cryptocurrency in the country.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: January 23, 2024, 04:23:40 PM
There are people who have learnt how to trade, practiced on demo accounts for long but have not had the money to try trading on the market, and so they have abandoned trading to try search for money first. While there are others who have too little income, that they cannot profit from the market trading, they are always worried about loosing and because of that they make mistakes with their technical analysis and end up loosing the little money they have. Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?

Personally I don’t believe trading is for only the rich, definitely other people who aren’t rich but knows how to take a good calculated risk can also be rich through trading with time. I will recommend a good understanding of how trading works before anyone starts trading. Also everyone should know that there are exchanges that tries to make trading easy for users so they can make profit and avoid loss, just like Bitget exchange. There are good opportunities to make profit through their copy trading feature either as a rich person or as someone who isn’t rich.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 16, 2024, 03:59:54 PM
I want to choose crypto currency trading as a career but I feel like I need to know a lot about it to choose it as a career and I don't think there is anything better to do from here.
As I am new to this place I am trying to know which aspects I can take Cryptocurrency trading as my career if I know well.

After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including -

  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis

If I can master the above I think I can be a successful trader Another thing I noticed is that when the market goes up or down again, no chart or technical analysis or fundamental analysis works Do I have to depend on the news or should I pay attention to the news that if there is good news in the market the market goes up a lot and bad news actually the market goes down a lot I am gaining knowledge from YouTube or different online platforms to become a professional Cryptocurrency trader

Is there anyone here who is a professional trader, I want to help him that apart from the above mentioned things, what should I know as a professional trader, do you know of any platform or site from where I can take professional trader training ?

Sure you can, there are some opportunities for traders lately where you are being funded and also provided with guidance in order to have good understanding of trading, just like the Bitget trader pro program.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: January 10, 2024, 03:40:09 PM
I don't know how it was done many years in the past when learning trading, so I will wait to read the comments of traders with many years of experience.

I've noticed that on my WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, and basically all social media websites, there are so many beginner traders with no real live trading experience who should stop giving trading tips to other people rather they just put it out there for whoever cares to listen to them.

I keep asking myself, are these kids doing it wrong? The beginning phase of the trading journey is a time for learning and not talking or trying to show off. These new kids should be quiet and focused on building equity, and other best trading practices that would make them successful traders rather than trying to act cool and successful when they haven't ever made a dollar other than in a demo.

I have engaged with a couple of them in trading conversations, and they beat around the bush, replying with generic responses without any real experience.

Has anyone else here noticed this too?"

Personally I know there are lots of people out there without much experience and good trading skills but yet they still give advices and lectures, as for me instead of listening to someone who is not well informed and lack good understanding of the market, I would rather go for copy trading so that I can make my cool profit. There are lots of people who make good profit through copy trading from exchange like Bitget.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you ready for crypto investing in 2024? on: January 08, 2024, 03:00:58 PM
...Who knows if selling now would be a mistake down the line.  I still believe cryptocurrencies will keep gaining traction.  Sure, bitcoins future impact is hard to predict precisely.  But, based on what I've researched, I'm hopeful and want to stick it out.

If you have doubts, then sell half of your coins, and continue holding the other half. In this case, if the price drops, you will have the money to buy again at a reduced price. Well, if the price increases, then you will have the second half left for sale.

This is the best time to invest in crypto, there are some method you should employ while buying coin this year, such as DCA. Also you should try and use exchange with some good market analysis tools like the smart portfolio bot on Bitget exchange which helps you to automatically rebalance your asset.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: December 30, 2023, 09:45:44 AM
There are thousands of altcoins in crypto market and each of coin has investors! Cause people have different choice from one to another.  People even invest in shitcoin to get rich quickly. So what are the names of your most 5 invested altcoins that you are holding or would like to invest soon?? Those are my choice
1. ETH
2. BNB
3. Arbitrum
4. Cake
5. ApeCoin

I’m not sure I have up to five. Anyways let me list the ones I have and their importance.

1.I’m holding BGB currently this is because of it utility, with BGB I’ve been able to participate in the Bitget Launchpad events which has given me a lot of profits over time. The token has also performed exceptional in the year 2023.

2. I’m holding BNB because I mostly use it as gas fee when buying tokens on cold wallets.

3. I’m holding ETH because of it utility in general base on the fact that most tokens are built on ETH network.

These are the 3 altcoins I’m holding for now, I don’t just want to hold a coin without utility.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 24, 2023, 02:13:25 PM
The reason why i outline that security is one the most  important thing or objective that a beginner in cryptocurrency journey should know as one of the major key is that , my friend who bought a Bitcoin with the savings does not know that trust wallet seed phrase which some people called "private key" is very important, he bought a Bitcoin that worth two thousand dollars and he never knew that his seed phrase have to keep in secret and he wrote his seed phrase on paper and drop it on his table after two months he started looking for the paper were he wrote his seed phrase where he login his trust wallet and two thousand worth of Bitcoin in his wallet is  not to be found, its there i noticed that security is highly important in Bitcoin and right now im of very observant and careful with any that concerns security mostly cryptocurrencies.i am a newbie and i will like to tell my fellow newbies to be security conscious of things that relates with Bitcoin because its a decentralized currency.

Issues like this won’t happen in a centralized exchange but regardless being conscious is the best thing you can do when investing in cryptocurrency. Try to keep your phrase in safe place next time. If you’re using a cold wallet because of the tokens needed, you can still opt in for Bitget exchange, there is an integration of decentralized system through the Bitget swap feature, but if you’re very much interested in cold wallet you can choose to use Bitget wallet.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, what's the best Bitcoin wallet for PC these days? on: December 24, 2023, 01:54:34 PM
I'm looking for something that's safe of course.
Working with Windows.

Thanks

Using a cold wallet is good when holding BTC, you can check out Bitget wallet it works perfectly on PC and can also use the extension on browsers.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very safe coin because of good developers on: December 24, 2023, 01:44:20 PM
Security is a very important topic in Blockchain applications and Bitcoin has proven to be reliable here, while many Altcoins have struggled to do so. For us, when our money is at stake, we need to do our research how a Coin is different, advantages, disadvantages to prevent a loss due to education.
Here's a list after my research.

Reasons why Bitcoin is so good:

1. Bitcoin is well reviewed

When Bitcoin was invented, it was set up to be a big security. Hacks should be impossible and get prevented by good code. Bitcoin attracted and still has a very large community of really educated developers.
Bitcoin has a very reliable coder community, where flaws will be detected early before implementation and no risks are being taken. Many much smaller coins have a very flawed code review process.
A large and educated coder community reviewing code during testing times is an important advantage for Bitcoin.

And luckily, it saves us from possible hacks, when hackers are prevented from detecting flaws faster because all flaws are removed before implementation.
We have seen so many hacks, where a flawed code was exploited and people lost money, like for Altcoin cross chain bridges recently or when Terra Luna failed.
Still, people are buying coins from unreliable coders like Tron from Justin Sun or even weaker DeFi coins like Acala Stablecoin from Polkadot’s supplier Web 3.
Unfortunately, some people will only learn after a loss.

Some coins are very centralized and have a single point of failure like Solana, when it was down several times or devs have much power like in Binance Coin or Tron.
And DeFi coins can easily print some more coins / tokens into existence.
Bitcoin is having a big advantage here.

2. Bitcoin has PoW

It is big controversy for a long time, if a coin makes PoW or PoS, like it was for Ethereum [ETH]. Not for Bitcoin because Bitcoin developers have decided PoW is best because of security. From what Experts have said so far, PoW is very hard or almost impossible to compromise instead of PoS, where more attack vectors can be found. Like Corona, we should trust mayority of experts who have education and experience in an issue. Satoshi implemented PoW not PoS because Satoshi knew. He was very experienced and called it right.
PoS can be abused by rich stakers and makes a project centralized in many ways like premined coins and devs can create much influence by staking a large amount of PoS coins. PoW is not having such issues.

3. Security is Bitcoin’s priority

As for a safe cryptocurrency, security standards are very important. First point, we need security standards and Satoshi implemented it right himself, when he developed Bitcoin. Early Bitcoin developers added more security standards. Second point is after some time, to NOT remove such security standards. First point and especially second point are relevant to many Altcoins, which is a big issue for Altcoins.
Many Altcoins don’t offer anymore to create private and public keys to prove ownership of funds and access it. It is very concerning and seems mind blowing to many experienced coders.
For example, when creating a Solana wallet or similar new Altcoins. Altcoin developers are not focussing on security.
Or even MEW is bitching around more and more every time going away by implementing insecure patches. We need to have our private key offline.
Many Altcoins are leaving people vulnerable which is very concerning.
Bitcoin is better like Electrum for example. Its design is not so nice but Electrum is good tech and recommended by many experts.

Bitcoin is still having very high security standards today because of Bitcoin does not want to build a hype coin, Bitcoin wants to build a safe coin.
It is our duty to select a safe coin instead of an unsafe hype coin.

Bitcoin is the the major center of attraction when it comes to cryptocurrency, its level of security is also one of the reasons why it’s more appreciated within the crypto space. Though we need to understand that when you’re trying to build your portfolio and make investments, exchange tokens are very important as they symbolize a share with the company. As for me invest in Bitcoin as well as BGB a native token of Bitget exchange.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to start trading? on: December 19, 2023, 04:30:56 AM
It will totally depend on the coins you want to trade lol. If you're talking about majors, then just go with the biggest exchange that's available in your country.

If you're going to trade the bottom-of-the-barrel shitcoins, then you're going to need to go with the kuCoin's and Gate.io's.
yes Mate i totally agreed with you we have many choice to pick exchanges which most high trustable exchange (Binance , Kucoin , Bitget , Gate etc ) to give us all comforts to make simple way trades and gives us user friendly experience

Personally I prefer to use Bitget than the other exchanges you’ve listed, user friendly interface is one thing that traders doesn’t joke, being able to view my trading chart perfectly is really important to me, also Bitget has a sharp pick for set down entries unlike other exchanges where your trade will get to your set entry and it won’t pick up, that doesn’t happen on Bitget.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 💱🟢 P2P-Trading is NOT difficult. Start increase your crypto balance today 🟢💱 on: December 19, 2023, 04:24:55 AM
First things first: What is P2P-Trading?

Peer-to-peer (P2P) trading is a way of buying and selling cryptocurrencies where traders buy and sell directly with each other on a cryptocurrency exchange app or website.
The cryptocurrency exchange provides an online platform to connect buyers to sellers and sellers to buyers. The exchange also acts as a regulator between both parties to ensure safe trading.
To further explain, think of the cryptocurrency exchange platform as a marketplace where a buyer and seller come together to trade with each other.
As it happens in the market, a seller can set their own prices, and the buyer can choose to buy from them or move to another seller with preferable prices.
Source: https://blog.obiex.finance/what-is-p2p-trading/

What should you to think about before you start your P2P Journey
Research about what platform suits you best, be sure it has a good and safe Escrow service and also that it's good traffic with the payment option's you want to use.

Never keep funds on the Exchange
Don't keep more funds then you need for your trading in the Exchange wallet. Most Exchange's offer a custodial wallet service and yo don't want to keep funds there, you want to use a non-custodial wallet.

Rome wasn't built in a day
P2P trading is a marathon and not a 100m race. Always re-invest your profit back to the trading so you increase your trading volume and also your profits. In the beginning it will probably be quite slow until you earned some reputation and got feedback on the platform you using but don't panic, have patience and keep grinding.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)
You should activate 2FA directly after creating your account, it will pretend unauthorized people from accessing your account and give you a higher security.

History does not matter
Never trust anyone regardless your history and past trades together. you never know the reason of why your partner is trading today.
Example: always be careful when someone offers to make a trade and ask if they can make the payment later, even tho your partner has been honest in the past you don't know what's hes next move is and why. Rather play safe. 🚫 No cash No crypto. 🚫

Watch out for dishonest traders
Scammers will try to send fake payment link/email/SMS/notifications. Always verify that you have received the payment with checking if the money is reflected on your account.
It's possible a scammer will pretend to be "moderator" in a Dispute and in that stage trying to send you phishing links/e-mail.

Minimize fees
Fees is something everyone in the crypto world is well know to, everyone probably dislike them but they fit's their purpose and need to be here so we accept them. But make fees as low as possible and try to do as few transactions as possible on all platforms.
Example: if you using Skrill as a payment method wait as long as possible before doing a cash out and refill your crypto to avoid fee's

KYC or not KYC?
The million dollar question. It's no right or wrong answer, it's up to you to value your privacy. - You can read more about KYC here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454795.0

P2P isn’t hard as people perceive it to be. It’s one of the best way to also make profit by buying low and selling when the price is high. Exchanges like Bitget has a good P2P market that allows profitability, there are also rewards for traders currently up to 35 BGB.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis work in crypto trading? on: December 19, 2023, 04:15:22 AM
For all my 5 months in trading, I'm learning only technical analysis but now everyone is talking about the concept of "Smart Money". So I think that trading is changing and speculators should stop trading based on technical analysis. Or smart money just a concept that cannot possibly work in the market,

Technical analysis works on trading but nevertheless you need to know that your accuracy in Technical analysis is dependent on your level of expertise so you need to understand every bit of what you need to know before you start to do TA, regardless if you’re TA is not good enough you can choose to use copy trading or bot trading in order to help you have a smooth trading with lots of profits; Bitget exchange has both the copy trading and bot trading feature you can try it out.
