1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first time utilizing the Bitcoin ATM…. on: February 18, 2024, 12:54:35 AM
Is there any crypto ATM in Nigeria? If yes I will like to get few location to them.

Bitcoin ATM most that I have read about have a very high rate compare to current market price there price is always higher  so its not even a good thing to make good use of it to buy bitcoin.

If you truly used the bitcoin ATM like you claim could you please share us some light as to how the process started and how it ended and which option you used deposit or withdrawal?

With your post history I just finds it hard to buy your story any more.
Politely op for your knowledge I suppose there are two Bitcoins ATMs in Nigeria
Op well I live in Lagos so there is one over there in my area is presently at 1 Dazey Lounge Lagos Nigeria
You can take a look at it on the map here

Well their dedication rate is too high well when I got there I bought a Bitcoin worth 100$ and the gas fee I was to pay was close to 20$.
But most said if one is lucky they can charge 10$ or 15$ what they said but for me, I don't believe that.

It's just an image taken from Google. The image you used can be found here: https://coinatmradar.com/bitcoin_atm/39163/bitcoin-atm-general-bytes-lagos-ci-cryptosolutions/

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My first time utilizing the Bitcoin ATM…. on: February 18, 2024, 12:00:45 AM
Well, satisfy don't blame me I am just delighted about making some transactions on the machine today,
I have always wanted to see what it looks like most times I do see the pictures of it on the forum, many people do many a thread about it

How does it feel when you first make your first transaction on the Bitcoin AMT machine,
Well, I guess for most of us it has been a daily rationale for you guys well

Why I was this happy because, in my regional society, there is no such thing as Bitcoin ATMs.
Most people in my society don't have a better knowledge of Bitcoin, so I could not see the machine or have a better knowledge about it but I still memorized some techniques on how it  Also with the help of this forum I got to learn about it and how to make transactions and also to deposit
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Civilian administrator vs the military leadership on: February 17, 2024, 11:12:45 PM
Hey guys!
wanting to share some thoughts on research on this I guess in 1990 the military ruled the country with order and I was wondering if the military is still in charge in the Nigerian leadership did you think Nigeria as a country would be better??
Let's think carefully, Let's take a look at the past administration from military usefulness I guess things were done by order  and commands
Rules were taken seriously, and most time I do think if the military could just take over from the civilians
Quote
First and foremost the only military president Nigeria ever had was General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Other military rulers/heads were referred to as military heads of state.
Therefore, my answer below is to the question: “Who was the best military head of state in Nigeria”
I believe that would be a hot debate between Late General Murtala Ramat Muhammed and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

https://www.quora.com/Who-is-the-best-military-president-in-Nigeria
Was reading a blog and I saw this pls from your little understanding who do you think was the best in military leadership???

6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Drop your predictions for the value of Naira against dollar? on: February 16, 2024, 10:56:28 PM
I am not here to discuss the economic hardship that our failing naira is putting on the citizens of the country, I am sure the matter is already discussed in some other threads. I am here to discuss the projections for our naira against the dollar.

What economic policy do you think can be utilized by the government to stop this trend?
Well Op the little I can say about this matter is mak them our government put body for exporting of goods to other countries I guess this go fit benefits we the Nigerians
And e-fit helps our naira get small or add value.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn how to read crypto market charts on: February 16, 2024, 10:45:55 PM
Code:
DYOR
All these won't be necessary for a long term holder so I will replace your quote with
Code:
HODL
. a long term holder have no reason to learn about market movement or charts although no knowledge is wasted you can just glance through it but there no need to stress on it. Only a short term trader would really need to know more about the charts and market movement.
Strongly disagree with what you said op as a long-term trader I guess creating awareness of studying the crypto market charts should be more useful for both long-term holders and short-term holders too
For your knowledge, I guess it has shown me the concepts of cryptocurrency charts and what it also means.
But OP is just a question do you think many people can make a lot of money without studying the chart

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: February 12, 2024, 09:55:31 PM
Lately, I have noticed in most crypto groups I'm in,  many crypto enthusiasts are increasingly participating in airdrops and crypto events organized by exchanges or project developers to earn USDT or tokens. Is it because these "people" are afraid to trade or they do not believe they can make money from trading? Don't get me wrong, I understand that this can also generate passive income, but what I'm curious about is whether these activities truly yield significant profits or not.
Well OP trading is not something one should merely flinch into like that, trading comes with a lot of specialties and I will say your knowledge and wisdom come first above all, trading is a very professional profitable investment it has also helped so many people in one way or another, see op telling you little from my experiences in trading when I was a newbie in trading it felt like me given up but as time went by I started to understand the concept of it steps by step and I obtained to were I am now, I guess trading can not truly yield significant profits
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which sort of investor are you? on: February 11, 2024, 11:04:09 PM
As a trader, you are to no the type of trader that you stand for! Most times people flunk to respond to this question.

Well, op from the glance of things numerous people today in the trader’s world do not research themself before hopping into the trading world and, I guess this is very mistaken by the public.

As a prominent trader or investor, I guess the first thing to do, is to check your internal self-esteem, and also no your mind-fitness when trading, and your trader’s equilibrium, the most  important is “What type of investment are you good at” Most people think traders are also fortunate all the moment”
Come think of it is trading fortunate?

To me that is not correct Trading is all about your proficiency and apprehending and how you control your frights and tolerance, and I think your tough labor amounts to something a lot too.

Bitcoin investment and betting na fall two various things Dey no com are-cross to each other’s self. Well, most people wey no to get prominent understanding of bitcoin go com turn thing up side down, just as u don talk the risk wey full gambling no be for here, while for bitcoin na just all about acquisition and  possibilities and much better knowledge, sorry to say ohh if opportunities come say make I choose betting over bitcoin, e go be like say war go Dey be that oh.
10  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What do you know about Nigeria (History) on: February 08, 2024, 11:52:29 PM
Goodluck Jonathan the first man from the South South Region became the president of Nigeria in 2010, which he ruled Nigeria as president till 2015. This youngest president and the most educated with a PHD degree that Nigeria has ever had. This is was a president that was loved by so many Nigerians, and after his tenure finished things began to be very tough in every part of the country.  This is a president that will never be forgotten  because he is different from other politicians who are in politics for their own selfish gain.

He was just fair and not that good has you have said. Late President Musa Yaradua should have been our best president so far in the recent time if not for his death. I believe he will have revived Nigeria to some level if not for his death, may his soul rest in peace.
Well op may his prefer body rest well
When people are talking about leadership I think this past late President Musa Yaradua has indicated to us the slight sweetness of what it suggests to give birth to a reasonable administrator just as you have said if not for his demise I guess we the Nigerians are not to wear we are today, Honestly speaking he was one of the best Nigerians that could ever happen to the country.
11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How dollar rise take affect the prices of things? on: February 08, 2024, 11:31:22 PM
My country people, I greet Una o. Abeg I go school graduate o but e get one thing wey I Neva really understand and I believe say the forum na the best place to ask the question. I wan really ask how dollar wey oyibo Dy use Dy take Dy affect the prices of goods and services for our country because if to say na only goods wey dem import I for say na the exchange rate when making payment but how e take affect things wey we they source raw materials locally come produce here like garri, rice, indomie, cloths, and other things
This thing Dy really make me struggle and look for means to earn in dollar.
Abeg I Dy wait for replies if possible use graphics, practicals, example and illustration anyhow wey I fit use understand am.
A good question just as you have asked mak I break am down just as you have said the way dollars dey affect naira.

Firstly dey get wet in we dey call inflation and if this inflation don happened things go just  cost because 50% of Nigeria usage now they are all imported from the outside country.
So for u.s if their country money just high I guess exported tinx from their country to our own go just cost bam.

You be mention garri and Indomie all this one na because of the fuel expenditure that why all these foodstuff costs, for example like rice in my village after the production of the rice na car go carrying am com outside to com sell for businesses men with a little bit of high price, then the businessmen com carry am enter shop add their gains I guess that's why the foodstuff dey high.

So i guess that is why all this foodstuff just add costs every day.

13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Youths doing anything to survive on street of Nigeria. on: February 08, 2024, 07:44:48 PM
With the way things are going in Nigeria. Youths have decided that any way is a way oo. Nigeria youths are now taking every single opportunity to put food on their table.the economy present situation is not encouraging at all. We can now see a lot of crazy things happening on the street.
See op make we no to tak bad eye to see our 9ja youths, omo men dey suffer for the country, see as our governments just sit down dey look like say nothing dey happen e no dey easy for our youth ohhh,
No be say I dey encourage the Yahoo ohh but make we reason am that the little ways Wey boys dey use see front, for example most boys for my area that time don change currently because the Yahoo don help them small.
Just imagine the way our economy bad, and make we dey see the way tinx dey cost up and down like bitc rate, see baby Wey dey hand now go no say tinx don hard for the country.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Waste of resources at parents disrupting their children dreams for self interest on: February 08, 2024, 07:20:15 PM
A girl I know who is just 18 years old has an inborn skills of fashion and designing such as Hairstylist and the Dressmaking. This has been her dreams to make it a reality but her parents are ignorantly trying to stop her from achieving this dream instead they wants her to go to the university and acquires degree.
Now that she is being forced by her parents at what she doesn't have desires for, her obsession towards her passionate dreams would definitely not let her concentrate on her studies as she keep grumbling that she would dropout of the school somedays if her parents persists she must go to the university.
The parents reason is that they wanted all their children to be degree holders but yet the graduated ones whom had obtained their own degrees could not yet boost that the acquired degrees has offered them high graded personalities neither has they been able to secure the white collar jobs with it instead they still returns back to the streets of labour markets struggling to make better life without the requirement of degrees.
Due to the side of the World we are, if you are not surrounded with high-profile persons for recommendations then the probability of gaining a prominent job with your degree would be difficult at the range of 95% impossible.

This little girl insighted the sceneros and then decided to manage her time, utilizes every moments of it in a productive exercise, safe her parents some expenses pertaining her university expenditures at her decisions to make a different that is why she chooses to go through fashion studies to enhance and advance the skills of her dreams

So I think it would be waste of time, finances and efforts of her parents insisting that she must go through the university because she doesn't see her stars shining over there, no desires and no Passions for it at all.
And so I think she would be more utilizing, productive with a better quality and creative person if she is privileged to chase after that or dreams.
Well, op considerably times these things do transpire for a motive, from the consequence of opinion of the parents I guess education comes after everything to them, well the girl can still fully get her ambitions after her education, or she could still operate part-time schooling were she will be able to reach out to her ambitions and still study I gussied it a win-win for her and her parents.
Well, technology has made everything comfortable she could merely select an institute and operate some business courses and she can get a better knowledge of her dream fashion job.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's stupidity to have thousands in Bitcoin using a software wallet on: February 05, 2024, 09:16:55 PM
If I can start my crypto journey from the scratch, all over again or I have all the money I had years ago I won't repeat same mistake, the first thing that I found very hard to strongly believe back then is...

Spending some money on Cold storage, a Trezor maybe, I use to underestimate this, even when I have heard it multiple times before, yet I choose the easy way out, without even the proper research.

If I choose to spend that money that was hard for me to spend on a hardware wallet then I would have safe myself from some losses.

It's easier to find the definition of Bitcoin online at the time but it's a bit complex to know out of the box that there is something called cold wallet or custodial wallet, it was confusing to me, so I just visit google for answer and yes Legder and Trezor are always the first, instead I went on google play store for bitcoin wallet, I mean, why spend dollars on a hardware wallet when a software wallet can do the same?

This was how I found FreeWallet, I use this to store some Bitcoin, it was easier for me because it required only email login and password, I stumbled on some that ask me to write down recovery seed but it was stressful for me, stupid me, since Free wallet sync with my email I thought that's all that matters and I lost it all, can't log into my account anymore, as if Freewallet swapped my password and log in info.

Things are different now, in fact way better, still if you are new and you want to DCA into Bitcoin, kindly consider getting a Trezor wallet at least, don't keep Bitcoin worth $2000, $10,000 on a software wallet, even if its a open source software wallet I believe this amount is too much for a software wallet, having this much means you can afford a hardware wallet.

OP generously I think this should have through you some sermons never to put full confidence in some impostor software wallet.

A friend of mine was as unreasonable as this to want to some  cheap or software wallet and store up some of his Bitcoin there just as you did
All the time higher members on the forum always do said chose your wallet carefully it is the most important of all
I think we just have to take matters like this more defensible
16  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The cause of inflation on: February 05, 2024, 08:30:01 PM
What I think is that this present government are like the old government that has nothing unique to offer. The government should come up with plans to make Nigeria to export more than import. There should be a solution to this. We have minerals and other things needed for the growth and development of our nation. Many countries can depend on our goods and services, but we are not producing enough, yet discouraging foreign investors in the country. Can you see how electricity is in Nigeria, our government is not different in doing. We are just not getting anything right.
To come to terms with you OP I think exporting additional should be the main source  of revenue for Nigeria's economy most of the initiatives and government organizations that do production in Nigeria now are presently not functioning
I think if we the Nigerians start this exporting I think this could be the end of this so-called inflation rate.
Honestly speaking Nigeria is one of the largely blessed countries you can think of, in Africa when it comes to mineral resources
For illustration, if we the Nigerians start sending abroad
100% of well-homemade rice I think little by little we should accumulate somewhere in no time

18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Is farming the only last options of Nigerians??? on: February 03, 2024, 09:25:50 PM
As of last year the past president  been talking and say farming is the only key for Nigerians little
Success, so does this mean we all are to go back to farming this season? Do we all think it will be good for us to buy foods socks like rice from our own farm rice?? Will this add to our country economically ??
I gist this matter should be called a case study!!
Why I bought out this topic Is I just feel like we the Nigerians are just moving back to backwardness everyday,
When pass president did run his time “men no to suffer like this but nw men wan cry“
Can you believe after the handing over of the new president 24/7 gasoline just rises like bitcoin rate
What do we call that??

Do you think this could be of good help to the country people, and economic growth

See as men Dey hustle like say no money for the country….and mean while money full their hand”

20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto P2P market the cause of BDC operation in FCT on: February 03, 2024, 04:48:44 PM
Is this not funny? How is forex and crypto the same? Because there is shortage of US dollar supply, Bureau De Change operators in Abuja are blaming the crypto P2P. They are deviating away from the cause of the problem to bitcoin and other crypto P2P in Nigeria. Nigeria has continued to be a depending nation and rely most on imports than theubare producing and exporting. They can not blame it on our government which are actually the primary cause.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/nigerian-analysts-refute-claims-of-crypto-role-in-the-capitals-bdc-shutdown

This video I saw on the news is worth watching. https://youtu.be/SAzM9BLG3fA?si=Kv0dmrWqVJYrTlU4

In the news, it is explained that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and stablecoins are even helping for naira not to fall as it should have fallen. That if no cryptocurrencies, it would have been worse. What determines the price of naira to foreign currencies are most related to forex and not cryptocurrencies. Do you agree with his?
Haha op how does the crypto currency’s world influences the increased velocity of dollars or BDC i essence the administration are just attempting to play a difficult one on us.

Cause I don’t see any association on how the bitcoin actually influences our importation velocities and more over the Nigerians BDC do cash but the crypto p2p do disseminate cash-on-hand can you see there is no relationship between the BDC’s and the crypto currency’s worlds.

I gist the problem here is from the u.s government’s they really should be a “FED HOLDS RATES “ in 2024 cause Nigeria are defending on dollars and if it should go up then they get confused and they start suggesting hand-at which others….
