1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 1 TRADING CARDS on: March 12, 2024, 12:49:15 AM
Elon Musk is one of the most famous and important humans to ever live. His cards from the Currency Series 1 go beyond this niche card collecting realm.
Aside from the #1 Bitcoin card, I believe the Elon Musk #28, #28A will be the most valuable cards in Series 1. As far as his Cold Foil in Series 2, still collectible, but not as valuable as his Series 1 cards.

Good luck guys! Much love to BTCTC. I got stacks of packs.
3  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 20X Sealed Cardsmiths Holiday Packs Lot on: December 13, 2023, 09:16:42 PM
Doesn't seem too valuable based off of the sentiment. Most are trying to sell their Holiday cards for profit instead of collecting. Seems more like a shitcoin money printing event for Cardsmiths Currency.
4  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] Sold Out Pack of Series 2 Bitcoin Trading Cards! on: December 01, 2023, 11:37:27 PM
People are sleeping on these cards. Bitcoin only. Killer artwork. Might be a little too scarce however. 21k packs per series is such a limited supply.
5  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 2 TRADING CARDS - NEW FOR 2023 on: October 14, 2023, 10:36:40 PM
Definitely post your results here. There's a different group dynamic here. Many more collectors that started with Series 1 before the Diamond redemption program. The subreddit is cool for what it is, but more of a shitcoiner mentality there.

Will be interesting to see if they do another Diamond or other redemption program for Series 2. Many of the subreddit people only started collecting after GameStop started selling the cards. They were salty that they missed out on the Diamonds and quite a few claim that the 1/1 Diamond refractors aren't official Series 1 Currency cards and they don't consider them part of the set. I'm sure they will change their tune with a Series 2 redemption program because they actually have a chance to get in on it this time.

There's apparently some big drama on the Reddit discussion about the distribution of the Series 2 cards.

Anyone here opened enough cases/boxes to shed some light?

I've checked out the Series 2 cards and I am disappointed. The quality of the cards and the gamification are improved.

The art is bad. It's as if they came up with ideas for a card, did a little sketch and said... this is good enough... onto the next card.
There are definitely a few cool cards in the series, but overall, it feels rushed and unintelligent in design.

There appears to be less congruence in this series. The tone and feel of the set is just... what is it? The only word I can think of is, lame.

It's unfortunate, as I collected Series 1 with some serious fervor.

dang that's sad to hear, im going to just stick my unopened 12 box case in the safe for a few years then, are they giving away free crypto like they did in series 1 ? if so is there more info on the stats of that, like how much and how many cards/. ty

Redemptions are 1 per case, so you would likely have a 1/4 chance of having a redemption. Not sure of the amounts possible, but they say there are whole bitcoin redemptions to be had.

But yeah, check the cards out for yourself. It's just my opinion from what I've seen, and as a fan of the series, I'd rather be honest about it and hopefully Cardsmiths will turn out a banger of Series 3.

Seems like most people on here are sleeping on the Bitcoin Trading Cards.

I collect BTCTC and Cardsmiths Currency, and think that the BTCTC actually have better long term value.
10  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 2 TRADING CARDS - NEW FOR 2023 on: September 10, 2023, 01:35:22 AM
So apparently the "missing" MetaRare cards will be inserted into Series 2 packs

https://reddit.com/r/Currencytradingcards/s/0UeVLfHuXW

Has this ever been done before? Wouldn't it make more sense to just destroy the cards that didn't make it into the Series 1 packs?

I get why they would want those cards to be distributed, but to me, it's part of the history of Series 1. A production error meant certain cards
never made it into the packs and that should remain as is.
11  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 1 TRADING CARDS on: August 29, 2023, 12:44:01 AM
Not my card......

MR3 HOLOFOIL  Cheesy Cheesy

Seeing this card makes me feel some type of way….

So we only know of ONE of these cards? Is the owner selling? 🙃

If this card was pack pulled from Series 1, I expect to see more popping up eventually. There are plenty of Series 1 unopened boxes and cases out there. Many people only collect and have no intention of posting online about their pulls or selling on secondary markets.
12  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 2 TRADING CARDS - NEW FOR 2023 on: August 15, 2023, 09:32:21 PM
Thanks for the new thread, MJ!

Me and a buddy went hard collecting Series 1.

Hoping to see some cool stuff from Series 2, however, the preview cards are a bit underwhelming so far.

Really think that the artwork should have been a big improvement for this series, but the wine bottle and Einstein, as well as the emerald black cloak satoshi? are really lame. Just looks like cheap copy and paste clip art.

The promo pics for Series 1 with the Bitcoin Bull, Satoshi Jones, Elon, etc. are really eye catching. Nothing really comparable in the Series 2 promo pics.

You would think they'd add some of the best artwork for the Series 2 promo pics like they did with the first series.

I'm keeping my hopes up, but will wait and see before I jump into collecting Series 2.
13  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 1 TRADING CARDS on: August 15, 2023, 05:56:21 AM
Currency Series 1 officially sold out. Currency Series 2 soon to be released.

New topic/thread for Series 2?

15  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Trading Cards: Orange Pill in a Pack on: August 10, 2023, 09:40:26 PM
and yes i am angry. i was called spammer , scammer and insulted because i dint trusted random anonymous unknown people while browsing online and didn't sent them precious bitcoin blindly just because they asked to do so.

oh and i forgot to mention that by joining to that BTC-TC group my account was mass reported by their small group of friends.
we can consider this as an attack on a user.

if you want to have such experience, or if you want to get REKT asap. join there. start sending btc to anons.

Nobody ever said you were wrong for wanting to only use escrow. When you started insulting people and calling them scammers is when it started getting thrown back at you. If you attack people, don't be offended if they retaliate. Maybe don't call people MF'ers and to F off. There's no way to progress with that vitriol.

I personally only trade with trusted people or use escrow.

Nobody is forcing you to blindly send sats.
Nobody ever told you to send BTC to anons.

You have the right to only do trades using escrow. Seems simple to me.

And like I said, I don't participate in posting there. I just read the chat.

16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Trading Cards: Orange Pill in a Pack on: August 10, 2023, 09:00:40 PM
BTC-TC is a big NOOO. did you read when i said that i was banned while having ongoing trades?
did you read when i said that that mfer didnt had username set?
did you read that we dont trust- we verify?
so now F off!
i will not send you bitcoins. and i do not give the shit about the sellers who want bitcoin upfront.
thats their fkin problem not mine. those who do will end up scammed or broke. 1 of 2.
this is just a matter of time.
and stop telling that everybody is welcome, you banned every account that asked questions.
simple question that you couldnt answer:
TO WHICH ONE OF THOSE 50+ DAVID GARRETT I SHOULD BE SENDING 0.17 BITCOIN UPFRONT TO?
and the vouches they gave, applies on which EXACT account? there could be 1000+ accounts with identical "name" faked as 1 2 3.
and if he had his fkin rules, THEN WHERE WAS THOSE RULES WRITTEN? or once he pulled attempt in to dm's i should have moved and didnt had the right to point out that dude is just wrong?

good luck in sales!

I didn't ban anybody. I just read the messages and gave my view on what happened. I'm not an admin on their telegram and I don't even post there. I just read the chat.

But it seems pretty clear to me that you have anger issues. Telling people to F off and F that calling people MFers.
This is the toxic and belligerent behavior that caused your downfall. Good luck in life. Maybe use some of those satoshi's for a therapist instead of trading cards.
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Trading Cards: Orange Pill in a Pack on: August 10, 2023, 07:39:09 PM
Well, I've spent a while reading through the chat.

It's pretty clear that you were kicked from the group for being belligerent. Many people agreed with your position that using escrow for transactions is a more secure way of trading. Nobody was forcing you to send sats first. Nobody can force you to send sats. Ultimately, if a seller asks for payment first, and you will only do transactions through escrow, then the deal doesn't happen. Just move on and find the cards from a seller willing to do escrow. It's as simple as that.

Your aggressive language and attitude are the problem. You were asked several times by the admins to take the discussion to private DM's instead of spamming the chat with the vitriol. You refused to take the discussion to DM's and that's why you were removed from the group.

The telegram chat is free to join and anyone can go and read exactly what happened. @StackItUp is only posting a select few of the hundreds of messages.

While I agree with him about using escrow, his immaturity, rage, and refusal to take it to DM's are what got him removed from the group.

Doing some digging around on the PSA site.

https://www.psacard.com/auctionprices/non-sport-cards/2022-cardsmiths-currency-series-1/240381

This has a few of the diamond refractors listed as:

1 Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
1A Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
7 Nikola Tesla Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
10 Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
14 Ethereum Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
28A Elon Musk Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
41 Abraham Lincoln Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof
57 Salvatore Mundi Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof

Perhaps they pulled this information from ebay, as I know a few of these were listed on ebay at some point.

The page also lists most Onyx under the proper card number and name, e.g.

1 Bitcoin Onyx Gemstone Refractor 1/1

That feeds into theory that diamonds aren't legit.   And onyx has 1/1 on label

PSA came by the booth at the show.  We discussed the various types of cards with them and submitted some Diamond Proofs we had on hand as a way of jump starting the addition of Diamond Refractors to their database.  After the show we are going to work on getting them a full checklist of all supplemental cards that have been produced, including the 52 Diamond Refractor 1/1's.

You submitted Diamond Proofs as a way of jump starting the addition of Diamond refractors to their database.

I didn't think this meant that they graded the Diamond proofs and now include them in an the official Pop report for Series 1.
Doesn't this now make all the Diamond Proofs official cards to collect? This is just weird. What other card proofs are official graded by PSA?
It's bizarre.

I thought what submitting some Diamond proofs to PSA would do is that they can verify that the 1/1 Diamonds are official cards that they can now grade and include in the Series 1 Pop, not now include the proofs as official cards.

Why wouldn't they be official cards? Because they didnt come in packs? I think all that matters is that they are 1/1. Anytime something is 1/1 it is very collectible. No matter how you want to label it the card exists and people are trying to collect it. On reddit they call it the 11 card rainbow or 10 card rainbow. I think the diamonds are officially part of the series.

PSA has been rejecting the 1/1 diamonds and/or mislabeling them as 1/1 Onyx cards. PSA was unaware of the existence or validity of the 1/1 Diamond refractors. Cardsmiths submitted a handful of the "Diamond Proofs" to PSA at the national. I believed the purpose of submitting the proofs to PSA was to prove that the 1/1 Diamonds are Series 1 Cards and can/should be graded and slabbed as 1/1 Diamond Refractors as part of the Currency Series 1 set.

When checking the official Pop report, PSA didn't just "check" the proofs to verify that 1/1 Diamonds are part of the Currency set and they can grade and label them that way. It appears as if PSA just graded the "proofs" and now include those in the official set list. There is still no verification that the 1/1 Diamond refractors will be accepted and graded by PSA.

So PSA graded the diamond refractor proofs and they are listed in the official Pop report.

Can Cardsmiths and PSA get on the same page or something? WTF is going on?
