1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: May 01, 2024, 04:35:10 PM
If people are addicted to drugs, they will be destroyed. If people are addicted to gambling, they will be destroyed. A drug addict will always think about how to manage money because of his addiction and will act like a madman if he can't get money and he will misbehave with his family. On the other hand, when a gambler becomes addicted to gambling, he loses his rationality and tries to manage his money like an addict. So I will say that it is not possible to be addicted to something and do it properly.

Addiction to drugs is very different from addiction to gambling. When one is addicted to drugs, you are affected psychologically and mentally unstable and financially you will have nothing on you, the end effect of gambling is running mad and doing unhealthy things but however, gambling is different, I will explain.

If you are addicted to gambling and you always win, you are safe because the loss you are having is insignificant to the money you are making from them and you wouldn't be able to do a day without actually gambling but if you are the addicted type of gambler that don't make money from gambling, consistent losses all the time? You will have nothing on your hand and you will be financially down, even money to feed will be difficult for you to have even if you have a work that gives you money.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: May 01, 2024, 04:22:40 PM
It is also funny when people ask for an advice for what should they do after losing. If they can allow to continue and want to do it, then they should continue gambling. If they run our of money, have no wish to continue, then they should stop. I mean what advice do they want to get? When they lose, for someone suggest them a winning strategy, or a bet that will be a 100% win next time? Or where to get more money?

The sad part of it is that even if you give them all the advice needed, they might not even use your advice, they will stick to their initial plans because they will see yours as waste especially when they don't win with such strategies. I just think that regardless of outcome from gambling, all gamblers should follow a definite rule by not betting more than the can lose, not borrowing money to gamble and follow risk management. With these, you absolutely have nothing to worry about gambling.

I have seen this guy that has said many times that he will never bet again anytime he lost to betting but as soon as money enters his accounts, his gambling mode activated and common sense will disappear, it wouldn't come back until he exhausted the money and then the circle continues everytime he has money.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 01, 2024, 04:17:33 PM
Manchester United are one of the most inconsistent team in the league this season but when playing against them you can hardly predict the outcome of the matches even though they end up losing most of the matches. Arsenal probability of winning is higher than that of Manchester United but nothing is certain yet. Manchester United can actually put up a good fight against Arsenal so Arsenal need to be at their best against them if they want to keep their title hopes alive.

I want to remind you that the last time Manchester United lost match at home was when they played against Fulham and that was some months ago February to be price and since then, it's either they win or they draw the match and now Arsenal has an important game with them to maintain a good follow with Manchester City and Manchester United also need a win to move up to the table perhaps if Europa is possible next year.

Quote
Manchester City against Tottenham will definitely be a tough one too, Tottenham already lost to Arsenal and they won’t want the same to happen against Manchester City but if City are strong and determined Tottenham shouldn’t be a problem. It will be an interesting game surely but won’t be easy to predict.

Arsenal barely escape Tottenham, I doubt if they ar going to let's go of Manchester City, perhaps they might turnout to teach Manchester City some lessons since Arsenal sleep off their hands and weren't able to execute their plans for fourth place in the standing, maybe drawing back Manchester City will makes give them a happy achievement.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: May 01, 2024, 04:05:19 PM
it is not impossible to win your money back from the casino, because if it were not possible then there would not be many gamblers who would bet again when they lost. it's just that the possibility of winning your money back from the casino is quite low, so when a gambler wants to win their money back when they lose, then they have to be prepared to accept the risk that more of their money will be lost, because the possibility is quite low, but that doesn't mean impossible.

Making an effort to win back the money you have lost is usually a bad idea because the emotions always accompany later games and you know what happen when someone is pain and try to build something, the end is always bad. However, a gambler who is good can make back that money from casino without stress because when he is going to win money from casino, he is going to do it in many double folds.

When you lost don't complain, just accept that you have lost money like other people. If you are good and consistent, you will win back the casino or the gambling platform on basis of skills and understanding gambling, if you don't have the skills, I'm sorry to say that you will only be losing to casino frequently.

I do not think it's a bad outcome for Bayern Munich. Your later statement saying " If they can play in Spain, without being intimidated is enough reason why it is not a bad result " Besides, this was the first and same scoreline Real Madrid had when they played at home during the quarter finals against Manchester City.

How I wish this is Manchester City, we will have the opportunity to repeat a scoreline again but this Bayern Munich and by performance, they are not upto what Guardiola can do, they are not match at all. Bayern Munich actually did their best but it's not the same pressure Real Madrid faced when they went to Etihad and yet they won. I'm a bit reserve with what is going to be the outcome of the next leg between this two teams

Quote
Next week, we will definitely come to that, they did well all rounders yesterday, honestly Real Madrid seem dull for me, that attack is not as sharp as the one I have in my head lol.
Bayern Munich also has no further Competition to play for so they could win a trophy, I expect them to go all out on Real Madrid at home. It should be a continuous attacking process until the final whistle of the game is heard.

You should expect away team to fuck up you know, Bellingham wasn't there in that match despite starting that is why he was substitutef by Modric and they were able to deliver well. They didn't do well but I expect a come back in the next leg, those guys are there luckiest when it comes to Champions League and surely they can pull that same thing again this season.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 30, 2024, 04:39:29 PM
Yep Lewandowski is second highest paid player in Barcelona and his contract will end in 2026, I think Xavi want to sell Lewandowski since it will make Barcelona have enough money to sign other players, but Xavi want to show if he's a good person, so he said he really need Lewandowski.

Last few months many people complaining if Lewandowksi can't perform anymore, but in this month he already prove them wrong!

Xavi has to be very strategic in selling Lewandowski, they don't have any player that makes goals like him, this season alone he had a total goals of 23 and there is no any player like that in Barcelona, not a single forward makes half of the goal he did, the closest was 11 goals which is from Ferran Torres. If he eventually sell Lewandowski, then he must have had a replacement ready otherwise, he is going to not going to lose next season trophies, his suffering will x2 what he is seeing now.

People that thought Lewandowski can't do much are just the bitter people who don't see the good things of Barcelona and are pissed by the performance of the team but who cares? Teams can't do 100% all the time, they can do well today and do less tomorrow.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: April 30, 2024, 04:22:51 PM
Addicted gamblers always have transgression of anger so with that it is possible that he can have a domestic violent with either his wife, friends and other members in the gambling centers. Mostly when he loss big amount of money in online gambling then he will use that anger to quarrel with any come across him at that moment. And in most cases though not all, addicted gamblers are also in drugs.
And those who are gambling and also taking drugs see themselves fighting unnecessary fights with people unknowingly.

A man that is aggressive in nature will always want to hide under anger management. Everyone that gambles get hurt when they lose but the sensible ones doesn't go to an extent to hurt themselves or anyone around them and that's because they see gambling as a luck even if you have the skills to make predictions, everything you do is entirely dependent on the outcome, so when you see a man beat his spouse hidding under anger transgressions need to be arrested.

I don't think a man who bet responsibly is supposed to be angry for losing a bets, if you bets with the amount you know confidently that you can let's go, even if you lose, you wouldn't get angry because I see no reason why a grown up person will be angry over amount that can't get you an expensive meal.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2024, 03:51:52 PM
Blaming a single player for their failure is not a good thing at all especially when the player is the highest goals scorer of the league, i think he deserves this trophy more than anyone but the team let him down. I think the coach should take more responsibility for making the team fail despite having the league goal scorer among them. Harry Kane is just so unlucky with winning trophies if not why would Bayern lose the league the season he joined them, performance wise Kane was excellent for the team and they won’t regret spending 100 million to bring him to the team.

They still have the Champions league to fight for so I’d say Kane hopes of winning a trophy is still alive if only they can win their remaining games to reach the final.

Any player can be blame for errors, they are human and bound to make mistakes. I just think that Kane is a goal person but sometimes I think he is not always favor to win Trophy, having highest goal without winning the league will actually hurt in the ass, I mean been the highest goal scorer in the league and no trophy. This is just a good validation that great teams go long way because Leverkusen are yet to lose any match even after announced as the title winner of the league.

Bayern Munich Champions League is like a ticking time bomb awaiting Real Madrid to explode, you and I know that Real Madrid wouldn't let go without a fight and that fight I don't see Bayern winning it, not with that performance they used to outshine Arsenal in the Quarter Final. Real Madrid are going to win them strategically or the El classico ways.

Erik Ten Hag is under huge pressure amid a poor second season at Old Trafford. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has yet to publicly support Ten Hag. They should prioritize bringing in a new coach this summer. Actually, MU has gone through two bad seasons. Fans cannot be patient anymore. The club they love is becoming disastrous in this tournament. MU spent a lot of money in the transfer period but performed worse than small teams. Erik ten Hag no longer has the prestige of a coach. He could no longer control the dressing room, and everything was getting more chaotic. He thinks his decision will be effective from a different perspective. But reality proves the opposite. Now, every player at MU is in serious decline. Since moving to MU, not a single player has been able to maintain their previous form, which is the result of Erik ten Hag's mismanagement.

I think Chelsea and Manchester United are not just different, Chelsea is just doing on and off in most of their games while Manchester united will win two or three matches in a role and by the time the world needed the most, they vanished like Avatar, they played awfully as if they are not hungry. Look at their last match with Burnley, why will a sane team draw with a team that is in relegation zone, let's say Burnley was serious and was giving them pressure per it's a home game and conceded a goal but not worth draw in the last minutes.

Quote
There are two possibilities: Ten Hag resigns or is fired. But I think he will not actively leave the team. If it were me, I would stay in the head coach position until the club fires me. Ten Hag still has more than one year left on his current contract with MU, and if MU decides to fire him, they will have to pay more than 10 million pounds in compensation.

I'm very sure that the club is concerned as everyone are right now, Ralf Rangnick was managing the club as an interim manager but his performance wasn't good enough before they hired Erik Ten Hag, I'm very certain that there is an arrangement going on privately for his replacement, they are just waiting patiently for the season to end before they inform him to look for another place, this embarrassment of Manchester United has reach the minimum point.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 30, 2024, 03:26:19 PM
Barcelona and Girona currently only have a very narrow difference in points, namely they only have a difference of 2 points. So in the next match, namely the match where the two of them will meet, namely the Barcelona vs Girona match, the result will indeed determine which team will be ranked 2nd.

I wanted to say that Barcelona might just have their regular display in that match but then I remember Real Madrid has some matches to be played before they can be call the Champions of Laliga for this season and for this reason I think Barcelona will come with a full force to eliminate Girona but since Girona are hosting Barcelona, they might also coem with a surprises in the bag to deal.witb Barcelona, it's always this kind of matches that slap on the face, we shouldn't get too comfortable by Barcelona performance.

Quote
Barcelona at the start of the season experienced bad results against Girona. So of course in this match Barcelona will definitely try to get good results. At the start of the season, Barcelona suffered a fairly heavy defeat with a score of 2-4. So now would be the right time for Barcelona to avenge their defeat at that time.

It was very bad of Barcelona to allow Girona to beat them in their own home but I geues then they weren't really in the form like that but this can be corrected now otherwise this statistic result is going to be a bench mark for people after this season, they will always says that Barcelona is below Girona in Laliga, this is why they need to win this match by all means.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 30, 2024, 03:16:53 PM
I will be very surprised if Tuchel wins this match because they lost against Lazio and Real Madrid, as you know, is a much stronger team than Lazio. They have named their most important players and they are fully ready for the match. I give them more chances to win. I think they are good enough to beat Bayern, playing at the tempo of La Liga.

I will be too, but you know one has to thread carefully when it comes to predictions in this kind of match situation, this is Champions League we are talking about, if for instance Rudiger mistakenly kick someone on the leg while defending, there is no way they wouldn't have a red card and that with such situation, there is no way that Bayern will not win that match and they wouldn't just win the match, they will want to have more goals so as to hedge for the second leg.

Bayern will also host Real Madrid in their home and that means, everything will surely comes to favour Bayern Munich but if they don't focus on defending, they will likely concede way goals like Real Madrid did when they faced Manchester City, such tacticts is what they used to win matches of this kinds, so they need to be extra careful.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Prioritizing strong foundation over quick gains on: April 26, 2024, 02:41:43 PM
.
Setting out strong foundation that's aimed at supporting long term gain is the best thing you can do for yourself and regardless of the fact that you might not be getting quick results like short term investors and individuals, the benefit that comes with long term investment in the right thing  will always supercede any quick gain that's mostly for short sighted individuals.

This used to be what many people look at before they buy any coin and when they do, they hold it for long term but those days are patient days which nobody want to practice anymore, they all want to buy a coin they can hold for atleast 2 months and makes 20x without stressing much on the market dynamics and what the coin they bought will so later, this is why meme coins now dominate everywhere without anything valuable to offer.

I remember going over some of the previous bull run, like the ICO times when you will see nice write up from whitepapers even though we know that their where a lot of scam projects but it was motivating seeing how everyone is looking at functional investment for long term but all of that are now in the past.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: April 26, 2024, 02:24:05 PM
Is very possible starting up a business without capital all you need is your ability of pursuing success.
Affiliate marketing is a business you can venture into without capital and still make good money from it, even more than some businesses started with capital.

I want to ask you, are you into one? The reason why I'm asking that affiliate and digital marketing you see people discuss every day, there are more into it and it's not everything especially the success stories you see when you venture inti it, you will mostly likely settle for more or less because if indeed it's a booming place, many people would be there.

Another thing that makes one a successful affiliate digital marketing is the platform favour's your place of jurisdictions, if you are coming from a place that are not allowed to use the platform, you wouldn't be able to have access like others.

Quote
Affiliate marketing is the process by which a person earns a commission for marketing another person's products.
All you need to start this business is good communication skill in other to sell the product of the other person and get a commission for doing that.
You can decide to market product of different company or person's at same time by doing this you are sure that everyday someone will buy from one of those product's there by making money every day.
When you become an expert in affiliate marketing you will start making profit every day of your life.

It's not all business you can run through a affiliated marketing, for instance you have passion into selling consumable products but you want to start but then the platform only sells books, if you don't have the skill to market books you wouldn't be able to sell anyone.

If you have a business and you don't have the funds to make one, apply for Small and medium enterprises and many venture capitals for money, if your project/business is solid you will go home with a paycheck.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: April 26, 2024, 02:14:15 PM
Yes, bitcoin is the top choice because it is the safest, but to say that when entering the cryptocurrency market we should only buy bitcoin and ignore the rest is a waste. We should not deny that altcoins have greater risk than bitcoin but the profits they bring are also much greater. If someone is willing to take risks, we should not ignore altcoins because their profits are completely commensurate with the risks we take.

Buying Bitcoin only doesn't mean you are safe, it's just that you are 1 step ahead of many dangers of altcoins because you can ignorantly buy Bitcoin without doing any research about it and has a peace of mind but you can't do such with altcoins, all the crypto coins has risk but the lowest one among them is Bitcoin and that is what I will recommend for anyone but if anyone can take the risk of altcoins, why not. They are profitable but the risk is always there anytime.

Quote
Personally, I think where to invest is each person's choice and depends on each person's preferences. Don't try to impose your thoughts on others and assume that others are wrong just because they don't have the same thoughts as you, don't be conservative.

Well, assumptions of others and their opinions helps you know, you can't just wake up one day because you see people buying meme coins and showing profits and you decide to use that as a preference for investment, that's bad and will land you in loss you might not see coming.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 26, 2024, 02:07:31 PM
The halving was a major event that attracted many new investors to bitcoins, some started investing seriously some months to the halving just so to make some profit from it.The halving was what attracted them, but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?

Bitcoin halving doesn't impact the number of investors, what it does technically is that it reduced the supply of Bitcoin that is added from every successful mined block by miners and the significance is gradually reducing because when you check the circulating supply of Bitcoin, it's about 19.7m from the total supply of 21 million, that means we only have 1.3m Bitcoin which is going to be mined for the next 100 years atleast, I don't really think that will have effect that much, but the presence of every halving will bring in new investors to buy more Bitcoin.

You can't tell now if the number of investors that are hiding Bitcoin now has double, we have many new wallets since last year that has hold Bitcoin but for privacy sake, you wouldn't know until they tell you or with the help of chain analysis.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 25, 2024, 07:45:38 PM
I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.

The advice that you gave him is not wrong but comparing Microstrategy and his father business is very risky because that's not exactly how Microstrategy has been investing the company money into Bitcoin, you forgot that everything you do has some risk involves.

Microstrategy has a liquidation and that means that when Bitcoin falls to some certain level, get are going to lose all their Bitcoin, last I read about it was that the Liquidation has been extended to $18k. Most of the Bitcoin you see him hold are ticking time bomb that can explode if not properly managed, I don't know If your friend has a back up when Bitcoin is not ready to sell. That money you think idle are what saves the company from debts sometimes, I will advice you to ask him if he has a back up when the company need funds in case of emergency before letting him to buy Bitcoin.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of Bitcoin halving and my opinion on: April 25, 2024, 07:39:13 PM
As simple as that, yes it does because Bitcoin halving has a mechanism impact to influence the supplies, preserves decentralized notations on a specific max volume of Bitcoin in the market to maintain stable rewards on the Bitcoin industrial structures.
And thereafter the halving comes the bull run and the OP will agree with me that every bull runs is accountable to surge an ATH which is resulted just after the halving.

So let us have a face to face of the halving where the bitcoin values drops and investors are being attracted to invest and holds until a long run of the bull run with its ATH. That is to yes YES the halving has bigger impact as Bitcoin is concerned in every circles.

Why do I feel like we might not experienced a large new price like everyone is expecting, like we night likely see Bitcoin pass the all time high but I'm not the only person that Bitcoin will do half a million. Let's say for instance Bitcoin jump up to $100k and then we want more upside growth of Bitcoin, if we want to see Bitcoin around $500k, that means Bitcoin would have to x5 in value and that seems to large to me and the crash wouldn't be easy to look at.

It's good to have some bags though, even when I don't have enough Bitcoin or even a half of it, I have some I'm holding because the hardest place I want to see my Bitcoin on is stablecoins because inflation is spoiling everything and food inflation is another problem that is spoiling fiats. I would rather hold a Bitcoin with 50% annual percentage on Bitcoin investment than leave everything on stablecoin.
18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria’s central bank forced to deny claims of crypto account freeze on: April 25, 2024, 07:26:27 PM
Very funny set of people and over the time, if we don pay attention to things and rumors for the country, you go understand say, no rumors Dey actually remain rumor for this country as them Dey later turn to actual manifestation and just like the case of exchange ban like binance, we been all take an like play and rumor until play ,play them ban binance and now, then don come again with this kind story and when deleted thei first post on x(formerly known as twitter) na clear sign say, these men get a lot of attacks against the cryptocurrency industry but still Dey find better and tangible reasons to unleash them.

For every rumors you hear about the government, just accept it that it's what they want to establish and if they come out and debunk it as fake news, then be rest assure that it is going to happen by 99.99999%, just trust the Nigerian government at your own peril because they lie a lot and that's what they do best when they failed to do what they promised during the campaign and election times.

Since the central bank said that the dollar is am open market to everyone, they should let the forces of demand and supply do their thing, by the time Nigeria start to increase exportation and increased IGR, then can start to do whatever they think it's good to stabilize the Naira. Even though I'm still patriotic I want Nigeria to be great but not under this shammy government.
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: After Binance: BYBIT and BITGET. on: April 25, 2024, 07:18:16 PM
When a government is been run on propaganda, the ponzi scheme fell off quickly than they might expected and that's what Tinubu government has been doing.

I hope you do know that there are these guys all over the internet that works for APC government to spray propaganda? If you observe very well when the Naira was falling against dollars, these guys were all over social media spreading all sort of negative news, even went as far to spread a fake news that a dollar was sold by central Bank at ₦900/$$ and CBN has to come and debunked the news because it's fake.

They were all over social media spreading fake news that price of food items are down, lying to people that price of rice has crashed but were all lies. When naira appreciated against the dollar, price of things didn't comes, then dollar start going up again and they want to used Bybit and other exchanges as excused when they know the government is just giving a temporary solution to fight the dollars, joker government. Undecided
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't sell in loss on: April 25, 2024, 07:11:22 PM
This is 2024 It's  seem we had some early bull which was before the halving and even gave us new ATH  but we are yet to see our  bull run that was too early for a bull run maybe... Not taking to hard, our bull run might not follow the previous  halving  pattern we might even have a early bull run, even  any moment from now  so my give out will be
Keep your holdings and Don't sell in loss

In my opinion, I don't think what he have tasted can regarded as bull run but I know for sure that we are not in bear market, this is just pre hype of the market. I checked the previous bull run and some of the coins that pick up up before the main Bitcoin halving, many coins like Theta did 20x and even Cardano had a lot of pump before the halving but I think the crash that happened last year isn't given some people the trust to come back again.

We may see a big boom in the altcoins market but I'm not sure much about Bitcoin, the price looking to expensive for the price to double and people are not looking to see much return on investment on Bitcoin like before. I think from this price, we should expect a max pump of 5x from this place before 2025.
