Let me try another example for you. A guy enters a push-up challenge. 100 push-ups per day. He does 100 push-ups once a month. Then a year later he says, I did the 100 push-ups per day challenge for a year and averaged 100 push-ups per day. I did 12 days and 1,200 push-ups... I don’t consider that doing 100 push-ups per day for a year. No idea what sort of mental gymnastics is needed to come to that conclusion. I don’t care though. If people want to juice their averages with mental gymnastics I’m fine with it. Whatever gets people to better themselves. They aren’t doing the push-ups per day challenge though, they are just counting how many days they’ve been able to do 100 push-ups in a day.

Ok, that one got through me thick skull a bit more.  I think one real issue is the "PU/day" column header language, which in my perfect world, would very compactly say "Pushups per day, only counting days that pushups were done." So I think we need another column maybe? But in your story, do we both agree that the next report on year 2, day 1 would be A guy,13,1300 and not A guy,366,1300? (I don't think we do somehow.)  Oh no! I see now that the "DaysIn" header does not match the "DaysPushing" format template below the table. To me those are the same, but I totally see what you mean about the deceptive language in the "PU/day" column header leading to "juiced" numbers, if one does not do pushups every day. We could even have the PU/day column auto update, using the date and not DaysIn/DaysPushing for people who didn't submit a report that table. I still don’t understand how people could think that “Days in” the challenge means how many days you have done push-ups and not how many days since you started the challenge, but to each their own. Imagine if AA used that method of reporting days clean for its alcoholics. Everyone is welcome to participate however they please. It is also nice seeing how differently people perceive things. I have some questions (didn't find the exact answers in OP):
- Can I participate if I only manage to do pusups a few times per week? (I believe yes, but wanna make sure)
- The Report Format by DirtyKeybot has a stat called DaysPushing - does it include rest-days or just the days where I actually reported?
Q1: For sure. It's probably better to alternate days, or at least alternate styles of pushups one does, if doing them daily. Q2: That my friend is up for debate. Most only increment DaysPushing on the days they push. It has nothing to do with how often one reports, (edit2: or maybe it does, that one is up to you. Then we could have 3 styles (I made 2 versions, 2 versions, 2 versions [1]. It seems that the odds are pretty high that I will not be able to do pushups for a month or more due to physical issues, so below will be my last pushup report for a while.. and perhaps there could be permanent issues, still to be determined...
There seems to be nothing so permanent as various temporary statuses that we have that are ongoingly changing.

Struggling not to get defeated by my laziness. These days I have got two nuts to crack, doing my pushups and making my reports! On several occasions I have engaged in pushups but couldn't make my report due to one reason or the other. One thing that is peculiar is that each day I do my pushups, I ensure I get at least a 120 pushups split in sets. I have done them for many of the missed-report days and several exercises including sit-ups and hiking. It seems to me that DirtyKeyboard had already tried to "fix" you (by helping you to help yourself) in this linked post. Do you need more of a clue than the roadmap that DirtyKeyboard already gave you in regards to what is relevant and in need of fixing. 1) total number of days doing pushups and 2) total number of pushups done In conclusion, if you put the first one in your report after the comma after your user-name, and then you put a comma and then you put the second one, then your report should be readable by the DirtyKeybot script. There are 149 members who have submitted pushup reports that were readable by the DirtyKeybot script, and it was readable by the member putting such information in a readable format. What we've got here...is a failure to communicate. Some men, you just can't reach. Davidloki is not that person! Believe. Maybe Hope is a better word. Davidloki, if you can hear me.
