If the wallet was easier to use and the dev gave us an update on the development this coin could be huge..

True. To be honest, I quit trying to sync my wallet yesterday...I'm just keeping it out of sync for now. It's going to be harder to have broad adoption of the coin if people have to keep deleting files and change this and that...just to get the wallet to sync. I'm still holding onto blind faith, hoping that the devs are legit and are about to come out with something that is going to make this coin valuable.

Bitcoindark doesnt have anything and is outperforming us at the moment :O

I guess using Bitcoin in the name of your coin gets people excited.  Tongue

Are the coins that are using CryptoNote (like Monero) really anonymous? It would be cool if someone knowledgeable about this stuff could give a rundown on all of the anon coins and show how XST is/will be different.

My wallet is out of sync again...it was fine earlier.  Anyone else having this issue?

I give this wallet one more hour to sync, seriously I have no idea why it is this bad.

Have you deleted .blk0001.dat, .lock, and blkindex.dat?

I did this and then had to open and close the wallet about five times. Every time the wallet got hung up on a block, I would close the wallet and open it again. It finally worked and now I'm in sync.

Give it a shot

What are the future plans for this coin?
I'm sure Stealth devs are trying to get this coin to have as much private transaction as possible over TOR. My future hope for this coin is the devs show themself and have a marketing team to promote the coin and perhaps some more add-on stuffs to this stealth platform. anonymous scam coin is very limited right now, so I think most coins are trying to establishing them self away from scam and different innovation from others. Just for your information Vericoin, Darkcoin, XC or Cinni etc do not have anonymous transaction at this moment as anyone claimed, all are in BETA mode and you can only have very limited coins in one transaction. in most case you can lose your coins. for the record, 0 coin at the moment have true anonymous transaction. just know Stealthcoin is having TOR right now and anonymous is coming soon. for my personal investment I think no coin is better than Stealth right now. all are the same but just Stealthcoin have TOR right now. All coins are still have BETA anonymous transaction. What I'm trying to say anonymous scam coins will soon come to an end so there is no point of creating another scam coin, soon it will get caught up and it is only waste the dev time. there will be no other good name to scam. At this point Stealth coin is standout because it is the first one to have transaction over TOR. I also think Stealthcoin is a good name.

I think that if the devs are as legit as they seem to be and the coin gets some marketing behind it...there is a lot of potential here. The devs revealing themselves may garnish more trust in this coin, but I think it's more important to have a coin that functions well. There are a lot of pseudo-anonymous  coins out there at the moment, and some are succeeding...but most of them are hyped on future promises. XST didn't come out promising Tor in a few days or a few weeks, it already had it implemented upon release. Time will tell if XST can rise to the heights of some of the other coins, but based on what the coin already has, it should be able to separate itself from the herd. Marketing would definitely help.

^ THIS! ^

the devs may be "in silence" to buy the maximum they can at this very cheap price

What exactly does this coin do that others don;t already do?HuhHuh?

It has TOR and sells much, much cheaper than other coins do.

how is this different then Shieldcoin? Or TORcoin?

First of TOR coin doesnt even use TOR. How many times does this need to be pointed out.
Shieldcoin doesnt either for that matter. Shield is PoW PoS and x15 but otherwise really not sure what the value is to it.

Torcoin and Shieldcoin are two coins that only offer promises at the moment. XST is more Torcoin than Torcoin is, because it ACTUALLY has Tor. Torcoin is claiming that it will implement Tor very soon, but at the moment...it's Tor-less. The developer for Shieldcoin has a bunch of ideas for implementing anonymity, but at the moment none of these things exist with the coin, nor do we know that they will actually work. So the difference between these three coins is that one (XST) actually has an anonymous feature. The other two only offer promises at the moment.

It feels like a showdown between Stealth and Shield. Shield is winning right now, but does the coin actually offer any anonymity at the moment, or is everybody buying it based on what the dev says he's going to do? Why wouldn't you implement that stuff first, THEN put the coin out? Anybody can put together some ideas...but at the end of the day...they are just that...ideas. So why is everyone flocking to a coin based on some future promises, from some unknown dev? At least Stealth has Tor. Am I missing something?  Huh

Shield is pure hyped, it got hyped on twitter by the famous whales etc.

They came with a shitty whitepaper which was just a copy/paste of the internet.

They dont have anon working or anything. Stealthcoin had its network over TOR already implemented before it hit bittrex.

And they are being 100% transparant. I am not looking at this like a sort of game who is winning or who is losing, its not about that.
I hope for the people who invested in Shieldcoin that they will solve the issues and succeed as well.

Like i said its not about having a competition here who's better or not - make your own opinion.

I agree...it's not a game, but I have to assume that if Shield didn't come out at the same time...Stealth would be where Shield is and then some. I'm all for innovation but I feel it's best to implement those things into your coin before you release it, otherwise it's just a coin with promises. Those promises may very well come and I guess that's the chance people are willing to take. If I'm looking for an anon coin though, I'm going to pick the one that has anon implemented upon release. That shows me that the developers have skills...which in turn...can lead to even better things in the future.

My wallet doesn't completely sync any advice would be helpful?

Thanks

- Close the wallet.
- Go to: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\StealthCoin
- Delete the following files: blk0001.dat, .lock, blkindex.dat
- Make sure you always backup your wallet.dat file

If you follow these steps and restart your wallet after, it should sync.

Edit: Make sure you have version 1.0.2.1, if not you can download it on the OP

I've done this and it'll get to 95% and get stuck there. Any suggestions?

I've updated my wallet to the latest version and I'm stuck on block 5057.
Try to exit wallet and open again usually work

I've tried that numerous times...still won't sync.   Sad
