hey Jan, wondering what you envisage as being a minimum of coins for staking as a master node?
For NEM a Supernode needs 3M and that means for ENRG 40K.
They have also other master nodes so I think 10K is a nice number to start.
Source: https://blog.nem.io/how-local-and-delegated-harvesting-works/
and: https://www.reddit.com/r/nem/comments/7jvbk4/nem_masternode/

We have to work this out in detail.

Have a great day,
Jan

i would commit 40k to a super node,

I see and observe this project my angel project has a good organizational structure and this project is ambitious and has promising prospects .. plan to have masternodes? they seem to be popular. Generally today it attracts people who are caused by a little passive income mainly from established coins like energy. I think this project is going to grab all the targets and interest investors

yep, they have already confirmed masternodes. Matured coins like ENRG are very good candidates for Masternodes. Not like those neoscrypt clones.
Actualy you can say we have alraidy a Masternode running.
Since yesterday the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet is online and staking.

Check: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/enrg/address.dws?16231.htm
There was yesterday a nice donation of 250K ENRG for EnergyCoin Foundation!

But we go give before Q2 a roadmap to implement official Masternode concept.

Have a great day,
Jan

Edit: my own wallet is offline to give others a chance to stake.
The stake profits we want to use for development investments.
That is when we have more than 14M in the wallet availabel.

from what I understand, the development team is planning to reboot this in a serious manner, but they aren't quite ready yet. Plan is to issue a new token, with a 500:1 swap, and then burn those coins, which should make the token AND the coin much more valuable, as there is a rather high supply right now.

Since we won't use the old chain anymore (and some people want to keep the old chain alive), why not do an airdrop for FUNK holders of the new token instead of a swap?
It has many advantages:

- For holders; you get both tokens
- For FUNK supporters; airdrops drive the value up, you get new tokens without giving up on FUNK and the old chain continues to exist
- For SONIC supporters; you can sell your FUNK for higher prices (because the airdrop drives up value) and get more money to develop SONIC.

Sounds like a win-win-win to me?

We are seriously considering doing an airdrop and swap, there is support for it from some of the team. I'll keep you posted.

keen on airdrop, would like to not have to burn all my funk supply. plus it would be good to mine again

Simple Poll APP [6:54 PM]
Vote for Soniq's max supply
:one: 25 million
:two: 50 million    `3`
@Nele, @vuksan, @Alex
:three: 75 million
:four: 100 million
:five: 500 million    `1`
@soundposition
:six: 1 billion
:seven: 2 billion    `3`
@webdeveloper, @soundposition, @kuveke

25 million, why does it need to have more?

Lets say if someone were to come along and buy a bunch of Funk, should that person download and store the coins in the wallet or just leave in on the exchange?  Cool

I would consider that person a hero, since the LTC/DOGE markets on Cryptopia have been closed for a week already   Cheesy

cryptopia is a small business in chch new zealand, they have expanded to 50 staff over the passed month due to unprecedented growth of their exchange. they have the same problem as polo, bittrex, hard to keep up with new registrations and processing all the info that they are getting on their server. month of december was huge for them, gaining over 100,000 user accounts, maybe more. not surprised they shut down these tiny markets.

brings forward @soundposition use case for block swap and burn of coins to the ethereum chain, although eth is slow at present, it maybe the best option to go by to get the markets happening, or Waves?. FUNK straight into dex and many other exchanges that carry the pairings. thinking that burning my stake to the token is a good idea right now.

@biomech, how about digishield, or a multi-alg of some form of continuation of the old chain progresses?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Energycoin v1.6 Mandatory Update RPI install on: November 22, 2017, 08:57:39 AM
Hi ENRG people,

We have the install procedure for RPI ready!
Steps I made:
1 Create txt file and copy pase the script code into that file.
Code:
wget --no-check-certificate https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mnibp0vrqdaw528/AAAs1E2tyGLem9gu12IdNYJTa/UbuntuMate.sh -O UbuntuMate.sh; chmod +x UbuntuMate.sh; ./UbuntuMate.sh
2 Put the txt with script on an USB
3 Put the USB into your RPI
4 Open file manager and start Terminal
5 Open Pluma editor
6 Goto USB with file manager and drop the txt with script into pluma editor
7 Copy the script line and paste into Terminal see picture

8 You have to give your passw in the script
9 add swap -> yes
10 remove old blockchain <return>
11 wait for download and Unzip
12 ready and klick old EnergyCoin icon and then you see after 15-20 minutes your wallet:

I shall also try a fresh insetall but priority is that all users are using v1.6 blockchain before the fork!

Have a nice day,
Jan

did you ever get a fresh install running?

Version 10.9.5.
Yep, date and time are set automatically

Maverick?
That feels like ages ago  Shocked
However, looks like a lib related issue on your system. Probably missing or not linked, not sure.

i could never get it working on mavericks either, gave up and bought a i7 for storing game.

i hve a mac wallet downloading blockchain at the moment, does anyone have a boot strap that might speedd up the process a little. seems like its going to take a week,

on the plus side, the chain is working, first time i have been able to get the energycoin wallet working this far.
found a couple of bugs in my computer, fixed them, so hopefully this time it synchs.
its taken a while, but i almost have my shit together on this one,
cheers
