Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?
I knew about bitcoin a long time ago, and over the years i've witness how much people have elevated in standard through bitcoin investment, but i have been hesitant to join the trade because one needs another source of income/job in order to have an effective trades, not until last year when i decided to start a search for an in-depth knowledge about bitcoin pending when i'll invest into it.

In my opinion, the barriers that prevent many individuals from investing is lack of source of finance to maintain a consistent trading.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money? on: July 05, 2023, 11:54:57 AM

In your opinion, how to prevent the use of bitcoin as a means of money laundering? While we may not recommend going to KYC, it is useless and the anonymity of bitcoins will be lost.

To this day, many bitcoin mixers have been caught in money laundering cases, such as Chipmixer, Tornado Cash, Bitcoin Fog, and others. Apart from that, even though the bitcoin mixer users are at fault, those who make the mistake of using a mixer as a way of covering up their crimes, why is the Bitcoin mixer platform also considered guilty? Or is there a conspiracy between them?
The ability to hide bitcoin transaction makes mixers a clear open ground for money laundering, this attracts tax dodgers and criminals willing to hide illegal activities, some pioneers of mixers has been arrested for money laundering, and those acts gave the mixers a bad reputation, therefore, rendering mixers not 100% legitimate at obscuring financial transactions.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why has Bitcoin suddenly jumped above $30,000? - 06/21/23 on: June 25, 2023, 08:56:09 AM
Did China do something that made the Chinese people start buying? Or what?

Cool
After coming across this post, it further interest me to know what's the actual cause of the sudden rise of Bitcoin. Upon my research, i discovered that it was the launching of EDX market.
The launching of EDX market addresses some recent regulating issues surrounding crypto currency such as functioning as non-custodial crypto exchange( meaning it won't hold it clients money in a custodial account), it will also function in separating broker-dealer function from exchange, which will offer exclusive opportunity to obtain prices for retail orders.
And the additional factors that affects the rise of BTC is the recent growing institutional interest in bitcoin from financial companies such as Black Rock and Fidelity investment, and also in Germany, Deutsche Bank applied for a license to hold digital assets in custody.
In conclusion to my opinion, despite Black Rock been known to be the world's largest assets manager with over 8.5trillion in asset under management(due to Forbes), i'll say is the introduction of "EDX market" that gives the BTC a bullish effect as it enforces on security and offers exclusive opportunity to obtain prices for retail orders.
24  Other / Politics & Society / Re: the point of having high IQ? on: June 18, 2023, 09:01:43 AM

it is believed that high IQ make you a better person.

it is also believed that high IQ get you more score in a test in school.

but what does it make you a person after leaving the school.

in real life, there is finited of everything resource, what does high IQ help the reality?

finally:

why should I believe you?
go back to your base

let me know how do you think.
high IQ doesn't make you a better person, it makes you a more smarter person.
In a group of people, the person with high IQ always have an edgewise over those with low IQ because of their problem solving ability.
A person with high IQ is believed to posess a "meta-cognitive awareness", they know how to detect and reuse plans, methods and strategies that they can apply to solve problems.
25  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Africa needs peace in Ukraine and Russia. on: June 17, 2023, 09:43:01 PM
I’m surprised you think the Russia-Ukraine war affects our continent so. It would have been a good argument but you gave no facts to support your argument. As for the international students in Ukraine, I know from a friend who was studying in Ukraine at the time that they were given a transfer permit to universities in other countries to continue their education. The question you should ask yourself is does Africa have the influence to end a war that doesn’t concern her?
just when the global economy was trying to bounce back from economy stagger due to the effect of covid_19 epidemic, the Russia's invasion of Ukraine worsened the situation by pushing up prices of commodities, because Russia is the world's largest wheat exporter along it neighbor Ukraine, these two countries make up roughly a quarter of the entire wheat commodity. Significantly, Nigeria are importer of wheat product, about 95% of Nigeria's wheat supply is imported, according to "Nigeria  Bureau of Statistic" the country imported N1.29trn worth of durum wheat in 2021, with all claims, Nigeria has a lot of concern in the ongoing war.
According to source, Africa is pushing for peace keeping.
26  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: NLC threatening government with strike on: June 06, 2023, 11:10:47 PM

What do you think about this? Are the NLC right about this? Or fuel subsidy should just be removed and see its effect on economy?
the NLC are not right about this, they shouldn't go against this policy, i say we should continue with the subsidy so as the government can increase it savings for her to be able to achieve quickly the 6% GDP increase that it promised.
Shouldn't we rather live a little time of discomfort to archive such great economy boost?
27  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Two Events that'll Influence the Strength of NGN /USDT on: June 04, 2023, 10:16:22 PM

How do you think these two events could impact the strength of NGN against the USD? Will you buy and save USDTinstead of saving in NGN?
it was a tough decision removing the subsidy because the subsidization has cushioned Nigerians years from now, but it also a huge step towards improving the economic because the government pours several dollars for subsidy, so with the removal; the government promise an increase of 6% GDP (gross domestic product).
The Dongote refinery will make a great impact to the economy as it will be producing 650,000 barrel pay day, with this, they will be decrease in importation, and increase in currency savings.
But regardless, i'll prefer saving in USDT because of trading.

In January 2009 after the release of Bitcoin, the journey to financial freedom begun, i believe this is the right platform for me to learn more about bitcoin, though Bitcoin is 14 years old now, hope i'm not too late to join the bus?

No time is ever too late for one to start an opportunity. The thing is, now that you have realized the opportunity that you have missed in the past and the opportunity is still active and presenting itself to you, what will you do with it?

If you have the money now, don't be discouraged by the current price, thinking the price is ever too high for you to put in your money. If you want to use the high price to discourage yourself, go back and check the price of its all-time high, which is $60k+, which is really high compared to the current price now.

So you can just start where ever you meet the price, and that's if you are ready financially. Otherwise, you should check up on yourself very well, and if you see that you are ready, then you can buy some and store them in your preferred open source wallet.
