Extremely disappointed that the Australian government blamed the entire nation trying to rightfully and honestly fill out the National Census as a DDOS attack.
A denial of service occurs when the network to website is flooded. This will occur when the entire nation logs in at the same time. IT 101
Also many systems have patched against such actions.
If a system or network along the path to last nights form was not identified in last night's planning of 5 years.
Then the census and data will be inaccurate for future planning for our communities.
We are then doing wrong for our children.
Not happy with the ABC and its IT engineer's.

For example, it is realistically impossible for the hidden_service operator (or an observer) to learn exactly who (or from where) connections are reaching the hidden_service from. Furthermore, the individually 'advertised' hidden_service info presented in the Tor atlas contact information, may (or may not) correspond with the Tor Relay node actually running the Navcoin service i.e. an 'fx' and/or 'ca' addnode=.onion node may (or may not) be hosting any one of these Navcoin Tor services. Mixing Navcoin Tor traffic with regular Tor relay traffic is certainly beneficial for users privacy, as well as potentially bringing Navcoin to a wider audience. Nodes relaying traffic for the Tor network allows the Navcoin project to essentially provide bandwidth back to other Tor users i.e. P2P seeding, instead of just leeching. Wonderful! I have a problem with China buying the NSW electricity Grid. With the current situation in the South China Sea with artificial land building and the election of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. This would be a grave move.
With China as an economic power house. I would view the purchasing of another countries power supply a strategic plan. A plan I would include in case of conflict and war.
You would carry out the purchase then slowly in bed and long term plan. We required the plan could be executed.
5,10,15 years into the future.
Don't sell major services and food producing facilities to China. It's in the Australian National interest to remain smart and vigilant.
Otherwise let's continue our great relationship with one of our great trading partners China.

Nav Coin TOR Network
Dear NAV Community
We are pleased to announce that user BitcoinFX has been so kind as to setup some dedicated TOR nodes for Nav Coin.
If you're unsure what TOR is, please head over to their website to learn all about their great service: https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en
In basic terms, the TOR network is robust method of hiding your IP address from unwanted third parties.
Currently Nav Coin is secure, but just like any other Crypto Currencies because it is a public network, it is possible for third parties to see which IP addresses are connected at any given time. This does mean users lose an amount of anonymity because with some effort, it could be possible to trace a transaction back to an IP address and potentially infer who owns a wallet, or at least where they were broadcasting from.
Connecting your Nav Coin wallet through the TOR network, hides your IP address from the public record and stops this meta data inference from occuring. With this configuration you would be syncing the block chain, sending and receiving coins all through the TOR network rather than over the regular internet.
If you want to give it a try, first thing to do is to download and install TOR Browser
Once installed, open the TOR browser and allow it to connect to the TOR network.
Go to you Nav Coin config file which is located in %AppData%/navcoin2/navcoin.conf and add the following settings: listen=0

Save the navcoin.conf file and restart or open your Nav Coin wallet. You should now see in the bottom right corner of the status bar it now says TOR, indicating you're connected to the TOR network!
You can now continue to use the wallet as per normal with the knowledge that your IP address is hidden from public view. Simple as that!
Some extra notes from BitcoinFX:
It is advisable to add regular IP addnodes at the base of this .conf for 'failover', which will enable your client to also exit connections via Tor.
hidden_service connections (.onion) never leave the Tor network.
Remember that less connections are preferable over more connections, in terms of anonymity and privacy. 6 to 8 connections are probably optimal for broadcasting transactions.
Port 8443 has been selected as it is a common Tor Exit port - see: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/ReducedExitPolicy - whereas the 'default' Navcoin port 44440 is not.
This really is a great service the BitcoinFX has setup for us all to use. It provides an extremely high level of anonymity even when just performing regular Nav Coin transactions.
