1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are airdrops allowed? on: December 25, 2023, 07:59:34 AM
I have a telegram channel where share information about airdrop and I was thinking if I could also share them in this platform, I was thinking of doing it in my country’s language place but I do not know if the master’s of the forum will allow it or not.

Hey mate, welcome to the community. Like majority have said just read the rules and then move on to something else like navigating around the forum and learning about the nitty gritty of bitcoin that will help you settle well into the community.
3  Economy / Services / Re: BC.Game - Crypto Casino | Sig Campaign | Up to 0.0036 BTC/W on: October 12, 2023, 04:41:23 PM

When a campaign is still active and you see signs of scam, instead of taking it to the Ann thread or talking to the CM about what you observed so that they can work with your observations, you'll keep it to yourself and as soon as the campaign closes or stops abruptly, you'll go to the campaign thread like a super hero and drop all your observations, which feels like shitty behaviour to me.

What good is your post if you can't help when the campaign is still running? Or were you hoping for praise from the campaign manager for your response? I’m sure you would have also participated in this campaign despite knowing it has some unattended scam accusations as long as you’re receiving your weekly payment.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: September 17, 2023, 08:31:07 AM
so newbies out there do not rush into buying Bitcoin without first understanding  Bitcoin which can even be done by engaging in important discussions on the forum expecially those of experts and experienced investors. remember knowledge is power.

You’re also a newbie just like me and you said something about joining discussions and yet you hardly ever reply any of your threads it looks like all you do here is to drop a topic and then move on to the next on you don’t reply to comments on your thread neither do you reply to other people threads all I see you doing here is to drop a thread behaving as if you really want newbies like myself to learn not knowing that you only just want to earn merits. Why don’t you take your one advise and join discussions yourself, remember knowledge is power.

As a newbie you should have noticed you will understand better when you avoid unnecessary posts , read more  and ask questions why repeat something when more than 15 persons have said same thing and besides discussions are to improve understanding no to be abused as a group chat that you reply all messages
For the record I do reply post but I only do so when I deem necessary

Counting the post in the first page in your post history I discovered that out of 20 posts 14 are new threads, so how does that shows that you’re interacting with your threads?
I think it’s now obvious what you’re trying to do here which is to fish merit by masking yourself as if you have newbies in mind, I am sure you’ll still come up with a different topic before the day runs out and let me guess the new title will be “never give up newbie” or “tips on how to survive and achieve legendary rank as a newbie” meanwhile you have just 11 merits.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sharing your Bitcoin journey on: July 30, 2023, 11:39:49 AM
Tbvh, I don't see any distinction between this Thread and the one you cited.

If you wish to join, simply send a private message to the thread's creator, and I'm sure he'll be delighted to hear your story and add it to the list.
Most of the comments you'll get here are similar to those already written in the quoted topic, if not identical, with some users attempting to reword what they stated in the prior discussion in order to appear original.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / wBTC and BTC on: July 12, 2023, 10:45:18 PM
I have a question, I noticed that the wBTC moves in lockstep with the price of bitcoin, that is, if the price of bitcoin is $20.000, the price of wBTC is also $20.000, is there any possibility of a price difference?
8  Other / Beginners & Help / How do I make an anonymous post? on: July 09, 2023, 02:17:19 PM
While doing a search round the forum I came across an interesting thread that lead me to a more interesting thread, I noticed that a thread was made by a user with no link attached to it, and the name of the User was Anonymous https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=15911.msg208900#msg208900 if I want to make that type of post how do I go about it? Is there a settings in my profile?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I confirmed transactions by running a full node? on: July 09, 2023, 02:06:36 PM
I get it now, it was just a curiosity question though.

It is not called gas fees in Bitcoin, but it is called transaction fees.

I have heard about gas fee from others so I just got stuck to the idea that all tokens/coin make use of gas fee including Bitcoin.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Can I confirmed transactions by running a full node? on: July 07, 2023, 11:16:38 PM
I understand that running a full node for Bitcoin is not like running a node for other altcoins that pay you a small amount, but I do have a question for the community.

Although I have never installed and downloaded all of the requirements needed to run a node, I have had the opportunity to walkthrough some wallets and also play around in mempool to see some unconfirmed transactions, and during that process I wondered if anyone running a full node can confirm any Bitcoin transaction in a block even if they do not receive the gas fee? Is it necessary for the transaction to be confirmed by a miner?
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 03, 2023, 01:39:36 AM
Yes, you read that accurately.

If I buy several lottery tickets and then leave my account dormant for a long time, say at least 6 months, and my ticket wins the jackpot during that time.
Will anything happen to my prize money? Will the casino refund my money because I never claimed any of the rewards?

It's just a thought I've had for a while and decided to ask here in the community.

Thank you all for the responses, I think I have gotten the answer already.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Metamask and Bitcoin. on: July 02, 2023, 03:51:41 PM
I installed trust wallet and metamask, but I found that metamask does not have a bitcoin wallet that I can use to accept my bitcoin. I even tried searching the internet to see if I could enter it into the wallet the same manner I did with BSC, but it was all for naught.

Community Is there a secure way for me to deposit bitcoin into my Metamask wallet?

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To Earn or to Talk, what is Your Role here on Bitcointalk? on: June 28, 2023, 03:41:44 PM
I smiled and told him that it wasn't just the merit that drove me, but my ambition to learn and earn from Bitcoin talk. before we departed, he  told me that he was going to login into his old account and see if he can earn some merits.

so I'm just sharing this story here, as an advice for the newbies and every one here on Bitcoitalk who finds it difficult to attain merits and rankup.

Move it to the beginners' section.

I can't say much because I'm still learning, but it appears that you are more knowledgeable with bitcoin than I am.

Expecting nothing and doing your best at the same time yields the best outcomes.

"off-topic"- Consider those who started with bitcoin and held it until it reached the ATH; if they had expected it to climb to a particular number, they would have sold at $150; similarly, if you publish a post expecting to gain merit, you will be disappointed.

@Justtoons that has been inactive just gave you merit few minutes after your post creation, coincidence or your alt? Or are you trying to initiate some kind of some spray here? Sound like what someone that's crazy as a loon would say, right?

16  Other / Meta / Is Ban Evasion same as Proxy Ban? on: June 27, 2023, 06:53:48 AM
I have been reading the rules of the forum and saw something about ban evading, and during my account registration I tried registring an account normally and I was asked to pay some evil fee, I was confused at first because this was my first account so how the heck did I commit any evil? so I proceeded to creating this one with my VPN turned on and it worked without any evil fee payment.

So for me creating an account and then abadoning it because of the evil fee to create a new one is that considered as an Ban Evasion? Please I need clarification, I just don't want something that is going to haunt me during my stay here or affect me later on.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Hiding your Profile name in Public place ? on: June 24, 2023, 08:49:49 PM
Can you provide a little tutorial on how to use the script? I doubt that everyone that will view your thread wll know how to run the code since it is not like your normal browser plugin that all you have to do is download it and watch it do the trick for ya.
