1  Economy / Economics / Re: Government always hides productive truths from the masses on: May 14, 2024, 02:16:57 PM
Why do we spend so much time discussing matters that have to do with the government? The government and its subsequent board of members are people with one goal which is greed. Everything they do is for their benefits, these concern involves the world in general and not a specific continent.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 14, 2024, 01:55:23 PM
You need money to survive, but money isn't everything. If you see money to be everything you're going to live a very sad life, because nothing else will matter, just money. You wouldn't care what you do to people as far as you make money from it. Even if you don't do illegal stuff, you won't be ethical in whatever business you do.
Money is very important, but we should have a limit to what we can do for money. The world is so rotten today because we have made money to be everything, so people are ready to do whatever it takes to make money.

Prioritize the relationship you have with people. Prioritize your loved ones and human lives. I'm not saying money is not important, but you have all the money in the world and still being unhappy.
When you're constantly focusing on money alone, you won't even have time to enjoy the money and talk more about those that matter to you.
In my opinion, we, as humans have given money so much power over us. Now it has control over us. It should be the other way around.
Money can buy everything in this life. Only redemption and life money cant get you but when it comes to all the things that one can achieve on earth, of course, money can give you that. It is worse when you do not have money that is how the world is, people do not see any good in you if you are poor, they don't value you no matter what potential you have.

I always tell my friend I wouldn't be your friend if were not in your class because that is how it is in this generation. You need to offer something because any one can see may value in you.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC sold for 16 BTC-1 mil USD on: May 14, 2024, 01:50:57 PM

I think you've forgotten  that this is just a writing on a piece of paper with a signature  Tongue and on the other hand we have a SAT just like every other SAT being auctioned and sold at that huge price.
Their value can get pumped only by the same set of people who started the auction and are  interested  in keeping such ....it's  not really a solid collectible to me.
It's not solid to you, but it is to them. That piece of writing is valued by those who see value in it, just like some old forgotten African history arts and idols, which are worth a lot in the market by those who have needs for them.

No matter what the thing which is placed high value on there will definitely be people who will be interested in it and we be ready to pay anything just to grab it just like millions spend millions to acquire an art which took an artist just few days to draw
You are right here. When it comes to digital acts, not the artwork that is most beautiful or realistic. I have seen abstract paintings and some symbolic paintings that are worth more than a regular painting that looks so beautiful.

The thing is that most of those abstract painting conveys deep emotional messages and drive a feeling to the collector. Thus, such a painting has value, any collector would bid so high ti have that painting.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: A lot wealthy people not smart they just use debt on: May 14, 2024, 01:35:48 PM
Wealthy people love debt. Unlike the poor people who just want to get out of debt as fast as possible, the wealthy are looking for more ways to increase their debt. In school I was taught that there are two types of debt the good debt and the bad debts.

Wealthy people are in the good type debt. Good debt is money borrowed to invest in a business like real estate , restaurants, or property whose value will bring in more money than the debt. However bad debt is there borrowed to buy liabilities. This is where the wealthy are smart. Their debts are the good kind of debt that increases their wealth despite being in debts.

As my economics professor would say, Using someone else's money (debt) to increase your own wealth is a skill the wealthy have mastered.

Wealthy people do not fear debt instead they see debt as a means to get more money. Some poor people understand the concept of debt but are afraid to take one since they do not have collateral or a big business that can provide back such money they borrow if things go wrong in the investment or business. Another point is that the bank grant loans to wealthy people believing they are capable of paying the debt while they refuse to loan the poor because they have nothing. There are benefits that comes to an individual when he is rich that he didn't work for.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 14, 2024, 01:26:52 PM
We are in the era of using what we know, have, or get to make lots of money. It is a world where you act crazy on the internet and get paid, where shabby clothes, dress naughty, and show your nakedness online and still get paid. This is why everyone with a skill, talent, hobby whatever that is should find a way to monetize it. There is no harm in doing such, there are no challenges at all.

Growing up I was fond of playing chess, as time went by the passion grows much that I attended chess competitions as a child. Right now I currently teach chess at a game house and I get paid well for doing it. I am planning to have a social media account where I would teach people how to play chess online and I believe it will surely work out for me.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying more of the Dip on: May 12, 2024, 10:29:29 AM
What do you expect from a country who had accept Bitcoin as a form of currency for exchange in the country? Last time i heard from a freind over there he said you can literally gift someone a bitcoin and that it is quite formidable to gift someone bitcoin than regular kind of gifts. Now this is to show how important Bitcoin has been in El Salvador. Check the statistics of holders and not daily transactors, you will notice that there are more people who use bitcoin for daily transactions than holding it for long. Which means no matter the price of bitcoin they use it for buying and selling it doesnt mean they have the most investors.

Quote from: jossiel
@mehedi72, your first two eth bnb are actually good.  I used to like Litecoin but not anymore as an investment but using it for transfers is always a choice of mine and that's why I still trust it in terms of transactions.  The same goes for ADA and Matic, when alternate transfers are needed that's when these two are also being used by me.
that's true. Even eth and bnb have heavy numbers of investor after bitcoin. When it comes to binance, it still facing issues but people still trust bnb as long term investment. Litecoin wasn't performed well in past few years but now its developing. So i add it in my trust list and for cardano and polygon, people seeing potentialities in those as well as best future investment. Although crypto market provides many more good coins are available to trust. And Solana will be the 3rd leading stronger altcoin soon that is going to lock with 3rd position in crypto for long
Among the most traded altcoins on binance i see more potential in Solana than any other. No doubt ETH and BNB have good potentials but during this Bull run i am expecting Solana has shown more interest in going higher in price once it starts. I had invested in it and took some few gains but i think its right time to buy it back now and buy more since the price has been fluctuating in one positions for some time now.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will altcoins fly? on: May 12, 2024, 09:13:12 AM
Bitcoin price has almost reached $70k and Altcoins marketing also flying with Bitcoin including most of top altcoins. But as we know that, Bitcoin halving is on the way. So i expect correction in Bitcoin price as well as  the effect should be seen in altcoins market too but is that going to happened? Are we gonna have one more chance to buy altcoins with low price ? What do you think about this

It is an obvious fact that the performance of other coins depends on Bitcoin so altcoins can only fly as long as Bitcoin fly and when it corrections occur to Bitcoin it affects altcoins too, yeah there are definitely going to be another chance of buying both coins at a low price. But however, being overly aggressive can become devastating as it May affect your other financial needs so it is very important not to be too excited about buying at the lower price.
Aggressively buying altcoin is not a good idea if you have any colleagues or freinds who feels its a good idea perhaps you should try convincing him. Altcoins are risky and buying aggressively in it is like taking more risk which will be difficult for you to come out of the situation if lose such money. Instead of investing aggressively into one altcoin why not diversify the investment into several altcoin so that one can possibly save you when others fail you. Lucky enough more than one may come out with good profit which is a big win for you.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: May 12, 2024, 09:01:32 AM
My profit from crypto this year has all been reinvested, whenever I gain profit I would just reinvest it in other crypto currency.
But in the past when I get a profit from crypto I would turn it into Fiat, and buy something or eat out.
This time I am HODLING it all, I would keep it all in crypto reinvest all my profit and even a part of my salary until my portfolio had enough to buy a house  and live a comfortable life.

Reinvesting could looks like a good strategy to make money in the market but we all have to be careful and we make or indulge in different investments. Reinvesting in crypto market can make us lose more if we are always eagered to earn from the crypto market as fast as possible. I am fully ready to take the opportunity that is available to make money nit trying to invest in the same coin over and over again which could reach a certain time when we could make loses.
Are you possibly saying that when you earn or make profit from the crypto market, it is good we reinvest it in some physical business or in the stock market? I wouldn't deny the idea as a bad one but once it has to do with reinvesting there is still risk involved whether in cryptocurrency or other investment. Although it look like a business is a the best option here for reinvesting, this is because a business has the potential to yield profit certainly without having to fear of losing your money. You have a service you offer and take your money, you have goods to sell you sell them and take your profit.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 10, 2024, 07:35:42 AM

Hey do you want to do an experiment on the difference of opinion. Maybe we could setup a thread with the two of us in, and setup some rules for the experiment. Im totally open to discussing and defining the rules but i was thinking something like this

Term - 12 months, split into 52 weekly time frames
Budget(Imaginary) - $5200
Exchange - Bitstamp for pricing buys
Changes Allowed - Sundays only and require to be posted on the thread.

I set dca up for a fixed weekly buy, at 5pm UTC on a Monday every week, and then record the imaginary btc amount in the thread. I can change my dca amount any week by posting in the thread on Sunday only  but cannot go past the Budget of $5200.

You post every Sunday in the thread with your market limit buys targeting your dip targets for that week Mon - Sun , if any hit during the week, you record the btc amount & price paid in the thread. You can cancel your limit buy orders after they stayed active for at least one week. You can set any amount to the limit buy orders but cannot go past the budget of $5200.

At year end we tally the total amount BTC, AVG Price, $Spent and see how we did.

This is not a bet/wagering opportunity just a simple experiment. Others ofc can bet on the outcomes tho.

Any interest?

First of all congrats on your new Full member rank!

What I see here is that you are trying to go on a bet with Tungbulu, but I'll tell you he is not ready yet, I feel most of the strategies he speaks about he does not practice it, but this is a challenge window and it is open for anyone who thinks his idea on bitcoin investment is valid. After all, we are all here to learn and correct our past mistakes or see opinions from other members.

I am really interested in the bet/wagering, I believe it will be more than just an experiment as a good accumulation would be gotten based on the term which is obviously a year period. You both can start I could use your strategies and play around with my new long-term goal. Besides by now Tungbulu would has suppose to respond to this.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: May 10, 2024, 07:27:12 AM
Undoubtedly the name that most people will say is Bitcoin. Bitcoin has the highest value, the price difference from all other coins is huge. A Bitcoin investor arranges a long-term investment plan for a period of one year, two years or more than three years. We have seen in the past that long-term investors have doubled, tripled their profits from Bitcoin, although those who have held onto it since the beginning have had a different story. But the most profitable coins than bitcoin are meme coins because they give more than 20x, 50x,100x returns. Meme coin is the highest risk, coin selection is very difficult here, it is impossible to predict which coin will give huge returns. Despite the highest returns on meme coins, people still claim Bitcoin as the best place to invest.
Bitcoin has the potential to last till infinity unless the fight against digital currencies success by government. The invulnerability of Bitcoin is what people should look out for, Bitcoin cannot be penetrated, it cannot be manipulated and it is not distributed freely. This has made its value increase significantly, unlike paper money that is being printed in the bank, Bitcoin has fixed circularity supply, one can only hold some whole or fraction of Bitcoin but cannot control the amount of Bitcoin he hold just like how the government control the circulation of paper money and keep so many for their personal benefits.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in a newly project is worth it or not ? on: May 10, 2024, 07:18:20 AM
You should wait in bitcoin all the way until you find one that you absolutely trust, you do not even need to ask others, you see it and you love it and you want to invest into it. That's how you should feel like when you want to invest into something. If you find something like that then you will do fine.

I agree with you. Investing in a new project has a big risk, but if the project is successful you will get profits several times higher. This has happened to the Celestia and Manta projects, and several previous projects such as Gala or BNB. But if the project fails you must be prepared to lose all your assets. Therefore I agree that if you are really unsure about a new project, my advice is don't try to take risks.
Why is it called risk? Investment contains risk and investing in altcoins, especially new projects has a higher risk involved. Since it is our disposable money we are using to invest then we shouldn't be afraid to invest in new projects. Take the risk and invest and if the project becomes successful then enjoy your big profits but if it fails bear the loss in peace. The only problem is when one taps into his other investment just because he wants to invest in this new one, that would be a bad idea.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could This Be the Next Big Play-to-Earn Game? on: May 10, 2024, 07:00:54 AM
I am done with them but if you guys are still optimistic with it, make sure that you are there to earn and then don't forget that there's an expiration for the hype that they're building.
Even in 2017, a lot of gaming projects have been there and I thought that they're there to modify the gaming scene but no, they're all hype and based on the market that they're focusing and targeting with because of the potential revenue that they're about to get.
Afterwards, they're almost forgotten.
Hahah. I understand how you feel!. I am also done with anything that has to do with P2E games. It's just crazy how i would spend hours playing a game and earning crumbs of tokens and at the end of the day the project will not be listed or something else would happen to it. That time i should be using to go about P2E games i can channel them and my resources into a business that would give me good profit so that i can invest in real altcoins and Bitcoin.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you taking advantage of this red market? on: May 10, 2024, 06:55:53 AM
Well recently the market is in a bad mood. and I'm sure many of us are wondering why.  While there's no single answer, recent news suggests factors like Hong Kong ETF disappointments and the Fed's interest rate decisions are influencing Bitcoin's downward trend.

As we know, altcoins often follow Bitcoin's lead. This dip in BTC has also dragged down Ethereum and others, potentially creating excellent buying opportunities for those who might have hesitated before.

I know you guys will be asking me, why is this post when time's going out? To answer you, I'm already taking the dip. It's a good thing that some exchanges even started events, I am also currently trading some BTC and ETH in a trade to mine event on Bitget to earn some BGB rewards.

Well people might want to know that you guys think this is a perfect opportunity now to load up on BTC and ETH? I think people should take this as the perfect time to buy the dip while the dip exists now.

The market is not stable yet and you will need some long-term planning if you really want to make good profits. You may take a look at how BTC has behaved in the past after it first hit the 67k ATH and dangled for a while below it before breaking it again. I'm not saying that what must keep happening, but while you have your plans on ground, you should have some backups, that's how the OGs do it, so you may proceed with your event spree to you can earn or even look into those BTC farming programs exchanges like Bitget for example that do it often, I've done one before and I got some picks, so plan yourself well and be prepared for the rainy days.
It is not stable, which doesn't mean you should not buy at all. In as much as one is investing in Bitcoin it is also good to diversify and i guess that is what you mean here. Of course, it is not advisable to put all your eggs in one basket but if one has a good amount of Bitcoin it doesn't mean anything that he is doing the wrong thing. If i were filthy rich ill invest only in Bitcoin. Ill make sure i have about three different investment goals, and each of them i will be allocating weekly.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what things can do if i hodle for long time crypto on: May 10, 2024, 06:50:40 AM

what are methods you used to forget the market conditions and keep hodl?
For example, if the price of Bitcoin is high, many people may not be able to buy the amount of Bitcoin they want to buy because of lack of money. But there are people who deposit bitcoins using DCA weekly, monthly. In that case I don't think he cares much about his holdings, whatever the market.
Quote
In my story , i always log to twitter and see what is happing , see coinmarketcap always, see youtube videos related to crypto. so this makes me sometimes panic , fear.

please update what things you do
If you listen to all these market analysis through twitter and youtube then you will be more panic and afraid to invest. Here, different people present the same content in different ways according to their personal opinion, then the market analysis you do yourself will also seem wrong to you. There is a lot of information available on social media but I'm not telling you to stop it completely, I'm just telling you to look at very little crypto news on social media. You choose a right coin like Bitcoin, You just need set the time period to hold your holding which can be one year, two years, three years.
That is why it is not good to listen to what social media are saying. It can be true or might be a fallacy but having a personal conviction on things before making a decision is necessary. Everyone would take responsibility for their investment actions so at last it all falls down to how you plan your investment. If you invest wisely you will reap the profit but if you invest foolishly there won't be anything you to profit.

Depending on the financial status of the investor and the target that is what he would use to determine the investment period. If the target is huge then the investment duration would be long especially if the investor is not that rich.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC sold for 16 BTC-1 mil USD on: May 08, 2024, 10:10:13 AM
I'm not for NFT's myself.. But it proves that digital property has value in collecting, main thing is prices will have to surge over years to become clear what the real prices will be... atm its just anyone guess and wild things happening as to many collections are coming everyday.

I don't own NFT's bc i'm not into it. But I do believe digital art will be a thing for some kind of collecting.
You are right here. Collectibles strengthen the value of owning digital properties. Over the years there will be scarcity which would give them some uniqueness thereby creating value. This goes beyond traditional digital files which can be easily duplicated or copied. Up till these days, the passion for arts is increasing so much. The rich now buy digital art for millions or billions of dollars not just because they are expensive but because they know that in decades to come the value of that art will be sold 10 times what they had bought it.

The secrets is give value to any collectible and you can choose to give it a price you want. Since your not a fan of NFT then it is good that you are a huge fan of digital art. Such that you are willing to collect as much as you can afford.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have witnessed it's real to earn daily with futures trading on: May 08, 2024, 09:08:07 AM
Your friend has just carried out his new strategy for some days and it worked he is now telling you to jump on the train. Don't be deceived by these trades there is no certainty that one could get 100% profits on everyday trade and anyone who tells you that is lying to you. There are days when a trader experiences loss and days when they experience profits. I have not seen a pattern or strategy that works all day.

Do you know there are people who barely trade all day? They trade sometime once or twice in a month and those people follow news and information to trade.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What ways can a trader raise money? on: May 08, 2024, 08:59:35 AM
Trading requires good capital. Those who do not have capital at all, can patiently work elsewhere and gather capital or start a business that can give them some capital to start trading because if a person uses all his money that was saved from a business and starts trading eventually, he destroys that money on trade he will need to start over again by looking for capital.

I always advise my friends who want to start trading to ensure that they have another source of income that provides for them because one cannot rely on his trading money for emergency funds, reserve funds, and other expenses.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: May 08, 2024, 08:40:07 AM
I totally agree that saving money during inflation is very hard. By the way it is  good to invest but first you need to make sure you have enough money for living expenses. You should have solid budget in place before investing and also save some extra money so you do not have to sell your investments when prices are low. Changing your investment plans because you do not have enough money can be annoying and costly. So I think it is good idea to build a portfolio and also save some extra money it's a smart way to invest.
There is no more enough money for living expenses this days as inflation keeps biting deeper every now and then making money you thought was going to be enough today turning not to be enough the next day and the day after... all thanks to the bastard called inflation.

What I think is, whether of a lower or higher class investor, people should best concentrate on creating an investment portfolio that is within their financial ability and try not to stress it beyond their budget. And very importantly, savings is one thing that can't be overemphasized, having savings aside that should serve as emergency funds is one good practice to achieving a successful investment plan because you will have no reason that would condition you to change your investment plan.

Their is a saying in my locality that the money you save today will will save you tomorrow, but to me, savings in this our current economic situation can't achieve it full potential that it was intended to due to inflation, but the best advice I can give to anyone that have any intention of saving money is that, instead of saving fiat while inflation ravaged it, it's best you save your money in anything that appreciate in value overtime, something like Bitcoin, gold and land.

And lastly, most people find it difficult to save money this days due to hardship, because it's only person that have first of all eaten that will even think of saving, but in essence, if in this difficult economy, you try to squeeze out something, try to hold that money in anything that appreciate in value overtime, so you wouldn't be in a loss, when you finally decided to use it.
Someone in a tight situation who can barely earn or foot his bills can not in any way squeeze out something to save. Inflation rises faster as the year runs out. For someone in that situation, it is best he use his money to learn a bigger skill or start a small business. In this case he would be aware that he did not eat because of a good reason. The new skill might start paying him better in a few months or the little business might start yielding profits gradually.

The only difficult part of taking such action is that people are too shy these days to start a mini business. They expect to have millions before starting any business.

Any yes, you're right that this is either caused by a mistake or an error in my browser network. Sometimes I submit a reply and the browser network takes time to load this content and sometimea it is successful without indicating and sometimes it's unsuccessful, so I'll need to send it again for the second time, Hence the repetition and I find it impossible to delete the other one. I'd really like you to tell me what I can do in cases like this to avoid the repetition cos I obviously can't leave a blank page nor delete the post. If there was another way, I honestly do not know as I'm still relatively new and trying to navigate my way around this forum. So please, why don't you help me out.
It seems you are after something here. Even if your intentions are genuine you make it obvious that you post and respond here whenever two persons have replied. Correct your ways, you are making lots of mistakes and you won't learn what you came here for. It is not about who creates the highest dialogue but who speaks when is the right time.
