1  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your Black Friday plans? on: November 23, 2015, 06:11:34 PM
I don't get all the fuss over it. Stuff isn't that cheap and you can normally just shop around for bargains any other time of year anywa. In my country a few stores aren't even doing black Friday deals because of all the chaos caused by idiots fighting over cheap crap last year.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are torrent website proxies in great demand on: November 09, 2015, 04:29:26 PM
Why would you want to create one when there's plenty of free ones available already. You can just use a standard proxy or just google like piratebay proxy pr something. I think many people will be switching to proxies for most stuff now with all the spying going on.

Ride Along. Unfunny rubbish. No idea how Kevin Hart got so big nor how it made so much money and that a sequel is coming.
4  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: October 11, 2015, 12:54:33 PM
It's funny how depending on the country you are, Bitcoin is a thing or another, but at the end of the day the algorithm and the way it works will still work exactly the same in Australia, Japan or Mars. Thats the beauty of Bitcoin and it shows how kinda dumb it is to try to regulate it.

Well this isn't unusual and is usually the case with many other laws not just with bitcoin. for example In some countries its legal to have sex with 14 years olds whereas its legal to marry them in some others. Bitcoin is tricky because we might all see it as a currency but govs might see it as a commodity and not a genuine legal tender because they didn't issue it.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's been flat for almost a year.. on: September 27, 2015, 06:08:08 PM
Quite interesting it's just held around 220-240 for most of the year.

Think we'll sit here for years to come?

Doubt it, but hopefully it will enjoy a slow but steady growth at some point.

No way in hell

Why not? I'd rather it remain stable at this price than fall any lower.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: September 27, 2015, 06:06:12 PM
I guess something between 1000 and 10.000 USD.

Haha well that's quite the large margin. I do agree though.

I don't believe it will go much higher, as cryptocurrencies have a limited market. But they can grow in their niche as online payment systems and for remittances and international transfers.

Online payments and the remittance market are hardly limited markets - they're huge. The money that can be saved in the remittance market alone is huge so can't really understand why it wont be adopted by them.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there anyone watchin Eurobasket 2015? on: September 11, 2015, 05:22:40 PM
What the hell is eurobasket? Basketball? Whatever it is I'm pretty sure it doesnt belong in Politics and Society.

America altering the facts to suit their agenda? What's new?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 21, 2015, 06:09:17 PM
2. It doesn't evolve, it's not fixing its new problems (the software should not allow a miner get the founder fee if it doesn't process most possible transactions too).

Things don't evolve over night. Bitcoin can adapt and evolve if need be but there's no reason to do so yet other than the block size debate.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The blackmail of Ashley Madison users has already begun on: August 21, 2015, 06:06:16 PM
According to multiple media reports on Friday, blackmailers have started trawling the database, widely available online, in an attempt to extort the users on it.

If the data is already out there then why is it such a big deal. These scammers are just bluffing. Are they really going to contact the millions of people? No. Theyre just hoping people will panic and pay up. If you do pay thpugh they'll probably target you further.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 17, 2015, 01:12:10 PM
It is already a global currency we are just very early to adopt it.

I agree it is already kinda a global currency, but it's not much of a global currency if not many places around the world accept it. Once it is fairly easy to travel the world on bitcoin or at least you can find a few shops that accept it at the place you are then I think we can call it a global currency.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Block size on: August 17, 2015, 12:55:58 PM
i think they will keep it till early 2016 but it caused so much drama that some people even think it will damage bitcoin for good.

It wont damage bitcoin for good unless everyone or almost everyone changes over to xt, but it will cause panic and uncertainty which is not what we want.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: August 03, 2015, 10:34:56 AM
As long as it's worth over 1k then that's all I care about. I think it should be worth  2-3 thousand by then though. Hopefully more but we'll just have to wait and see.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 03, 2015, 10:31:38 AM
My biggest problem is fluctuations and lack of places to actually spend it.

I think the biggest problem with Bitcoin is how difficult it is to keep it secure my bitcoin. even i use 2FA for secure my bitcoin but i'm still feel no safe

Do you do internet banking? If you can keep that money safe then you should be ok. I don't see how someone can get around 2-factor either.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Judgement Day is near folks! on: July 20, 2015, 10:39:06 AM
It's only a matter of time before criminals/terrorists start arming drones and using them to commit crimes etc. People are also going to start flying them into aeroplanes and stuff which is a scary thought and a few have already had near-misses.

Well, those machines may have the weapons, but are still lacking the most important part: the strong (hostile) artificial intelligence behind their actions.

Why would they need a robot behind them when people can just control them manually.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last Movie you watch ? ( Daily thread ) on: July 20, 2015, 10:36:37 AM
I watched the Lego movie last night. Was quite dissapointed with it after all the hype. Wasn't really that funny though I'm sure kids would enjoy it more.

Insurgent. I stopped after 15 minutes though.

I never understand how people can turn off movies after such a short amount of time. You must really have a short attention spam.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank holiday in Greece on: June 30, 2015, 12:59:07 PM
but the news and reports from exchangers shows that there is an increased interest towards bitcoin by Greece people.
Bitcurex got flooded with emails from Greeks.

Quote from: money.cnn link=http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/29/technology/greece-bitcoin/
Among their questions:
"Is Bitcoin a legal currency in EU?"
"Can I use Bitcurex as a bank account?"
"Do you have a Bitcoin ATM network in Greece?"

That's actually interesting to see that some of them are looking into bitcoin. I still think bitcoin is very risky for people to put their entire money into but bitcoin could become an alternative way to store wealth outside of the mainstream and could actually save people money from crises like this.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greece's first Bitcoin ATM installed on: June 30, 2015, 12:57:16 PM
That was a very smart move made by both the finishing end parties. It will be really helpful for the Greece citizens which are powered by the bitcoin currency. It will also be a nice way to show off how decentralised crypto currency is much better than the ordinary and how it is benefiting the society real time.

I don't think a bitcoin ATM will do most people in Greece any good because they can't even get more than 60 euros out a day I think. Maybe some will start putting that money into bitcoin but I still think doing that would be risky.
19  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading? on: June 17, 2015, 05:37:10 PM
Its never as simple as that with trading Wink

Sure it's never as easy as that but it's the best option out of the three you listed, but making money is never easy and always risky. Personally I just prefer to hold my bitcoin in the long term as an investment rather than speculate with it currently.
20  Economy / Lending / Re: Question about a loan without collateral on: June 17, 2015, 05:33:56 PM
I doubt you'd get much without giving at least your account as collateral. You may be able to get around 0.5-1 btc at the most with it but likely much less. The Legendary rank is also random after you get at least 700 activity so you could still be waiting a while to get there.
