The fees are very high, I read that it is because of the launch of something called RUNE, (I don't know what it is about)... but I will probably have to accumulate some BTC from DCA on an exchange before withdrawing... unfortunately. I hope things get back to normal soon.

Does anyone have any alternative to this, of keeping some BTC in an exchange for a while? before withdrawing to the wallet? I don't think there's much to do except wait

My first Halving... 2024.. I was here...

Congratulations to all bitcoiners. Thank you God, Thank you Satoshi.

I just missed the 2012 halving by a few weeks. Held tight through the spring 2013 dip, winter 2014 dip and every dip since. Took profits in 2017 in the form of new teeth and a place in Mexico, and in 2021 in the form of a private lake in Ontario and then a house in downtown Toronto.

Each halving has springboarded me to a new higher level of living happily ever after. Next year I hope to achieve inter-generational wealth (8 figures) with zero debt, including the taxman.

Indeed. Thank you Bitcoin, thank you Satoshi and thank you whoever or whatever you believe in.

Bitcoin is incredible and has the power to change lives, I love reading these stories, it always renews my faith in the choices I made.

Being a Bitcoiner means being persevering, knowing that even after the storm the sun will shine again, and much brighter than before.

I don't know if anyone has already asked about this... But is there a possibility of adding an more option for you to define the image height size?

for example, in the image I posted, I would just like the link to come with the height... the rest I think the forum itself adjusts automatically...

I left the image links as code below as an example

205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the game 'Fortune Tiger' or the little tiger game famous in your region? on: April 19, 2024, 10:54:25 AM
The famous tiger game... It's impressive how many people play this game in Brazil, practically everyone I know knows about this game and has at least played it once in their lives...

They have extremely aggressive marketing, especially with digital influencers, and apparently this gives a huge financial return for the game's owners, of course.

I have never played and I have no desire to play, I believe it is a game where you lose much more than you win... unlike sports betting, where there is a greater chance of winning.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 19, 2024, 10:51:20 AM
Got excited by this match and would definitely place a bet on this. But I've read some articles and posts about the rules of the match (not sure if they were legit sources), that there will be no judges and the only way to win is via knock out? If this is the case, I think Mike Tyson will still have the edge despite his age, he is still monster in the ring just check out his last match with Roy Jones Jr. he definitely still has the power and just take a look at the weight difference between the two and the experience of Mike, I would definitely sure he'll knocked him out.

But the odds tells differently, they are in favor of Jake Paul.

Because people think this fight will be rigged.

Because from boxing potential, it is more profitable to let Jake win and advance in his career, instead of having one more loss and spoiling record. As better record allows to call out better names. This does not work for 100% with Jake Paul situation. But in cases he looses he wont be able to call out another boxing legend, and would have to get back to fighting against retired or former mma fighters.

And to add to that, Netflix and Jake Paul's company MVP has team up to bring this fight into fruition. Meaning Jake will have to fork out some money as well. And with that kind of setup, who knows, it could really be rig from the beginning and they have plan for Jake to win so that he can advance with his career and then Mike Tyson walking out with $20 million in his pocket. Does it make sense for Mike? Maybe as he will get his biggest paycheck and this is just a exhibition matches and it will not reflect on his record. And still though he has cemented his legacy already, so this is a win-win for the both of them.
I dont believe that Mike would really be agreeing to this but since Boxing is business which it wont really be shocking that he wont really be having some argumentation for some potential intentional losing the fight
on which we can really be able to see that there are tons of people who are really that rooting for Mike to win up on this one. Although this boxer is already old and retired but when it comes to greatness then tons of people are really that still that expecting for Mike to take down Jake without any issues on which we know that this could really be still that possible but just like on what been said above that everything could really be
already fixed and been determined or planned already on which there's nothing we can do since exhibition fights could really be ending up like on this one.

Everyone in this fight will win, even if Mike Tyson and Jake Paul win or lose, they will be a few million dollars richer... So it doesn't matter if they win or lose, the contracts are already signed, so just fight and entertain the public... I believe there is nothing agreed upon about someone winning or losing.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: April 19, 2024, 10:48:55 AM
Welcome my friends, I'm happy to see more Brazilians here.... the championship had already started and I thought no one else would show up to discuss strategies about the biggest Brazilian football championship.

Today I read some very interesting news about the audience for this championship... they are predicting that this year the Brasileirão will have a higher average audience than that of European football.
I already knew that Brazilians were passionate, but I didn't expect us to surpass the Europeans in terms of audience.

The average audience in Europe is 30 thousand, and last year the Brasileirão already had an average of 26.5 thousand spectators and the trend is that the number will continue to grow this year.

This is the source of the news: https://esporte.ig.com.br/parceiros/jogada10/2024-04-18/projecao-revela--media-de-publico-no-brasileirao-vai-superar-a-do-futebol-europeu.html

These numbers always surprise me... Tickets to watch a big game don't cost cheap, they easily cost hundreds of BRL... This shows how passionate the Brazilian people are about football... In the past, the average attendance at stadiums Brazilians was very low, this movement has been happening exponentially, I believe that in a few years we will have the largest audiences on planet earth.

Apparently we are building a nice price support in this 60k region, the longer it stays here, the more robust it will become.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: April 18, 2024, 10:51:06 AM
Apparently you support Corinthians and also Internacional, right? why not support Atlético PR, Coritiba AKA "Coxa" or even Paraná Clube? lol

I've been a "Colorado" fan since I was born, my blood is red  Grin So, my passion and support for Internacional is undeniable.
However, after Internacional I really support Cascavel football club.

But Corinthians??? No, I'm not rooting for him, I just wanted to say that this would be a good game to watch on Sunday...
Unfortunately the game referee appeared more than the players, his performance in this match was regrettable and he handed out no less than 15 yellow cards. Fortunately, the CBF recognized the error and removed the referee from the game indefinitely so that he could undertake a "refresher course".

Anyway... Brasileirão has always been controversial, and the championship has just started. We will still have a lot of reason to cheer, cry and complain until the last round.

There will always be tears and complaints with the referees, I confess that I always expect the worst from referees lol

Even though VAR exists, there are always controversies involved, it's impressive.

FC Cascavel I think the t-shirt is very beautiful, any time I think about buying one as a souvenir, the yellow reminds me of BTC. If I'm not mistaken, there's even an official club store close to my work. I'll go there any time.

Hello my friends, I found you here and I intend to frequent this space from now on. My English is weak but I support the same team as Alegotardo hahahaha so I think I'll be welcome. Let's strengthen this Colorado fan base and see how he does today against Palmeiras. I saw that according to statistics our chance of victory is only 18%  Embarrassed

Welcome @tg88, we will have a lot to talk about here in this discussion, after all, the championship has just started... and for a change... Flamengo leading! lol, everything is normal, after all, the best team, best cast... let's be champions! ((I'm trying to be impartial  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)

The Internacional did well, achieving an important victory away from home against Palmeiras (one of the favorites)

212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 18, 2024, 10:39:02 AM

I think a well-structured team tactically is much more dangerous than a team with a star who can unbalance the match. Today, tactical obedience and good coaches make much more of a difference on the field.

In the youth categories the fundamentals gave way to tactical training, we don't see as many young and extremely skilled boys emerging as in the past.

I agree with you. Modern football places great importance on the tactical aspect and because of this we often see games that are very structured and no longer showcase individual skills like in the past. Currently players with one special ability are more needed than star players. I mean of course star players are great players but in the modern era of football what is needed in the national team are players who can match the coach's style of play. This is my personal opinion so tell me if I'm wrong. But I see that star players are needed in the squad but if they do not suit the tactics of the national team coach then they have to be replaced by other players.

That's a good point. Actually, that's the reason for some teams like Brazil have poor performance and they can't good their good performance anymore because the teams like Brazil will try to rely on the superstar players they had like Ronaldo and Pele or many other players while the other teams like Germany tried to have better teamwork and they used better tactics in the game and these tactics could make the team perform much better against the old and traditional teams.

Brazil can no longer stand out in world football because it cannot be tactically good, Brazilian coaches have stopped in time. While football has evolved tactically, Brazilians are unable to adapt to this new moment, trying in vain to place responsibility for games under just one player (as they did with Neymar in recent years), until they prioritize tactical applications, it will continue being just another participant to just fulfill the schedule, with no chance of titles. unfortunately

Had some spots open for all ranks to apply. Will only look at applications below this post, so apply away.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5485424.140

We took the low, let's go up boys!

BTC to reach 100k$ before the halving and the first 10 people to comment after this post get 1mBTC each from me. BTC to reach 'just' new ATH before the halving, it's 0.5mBTC.

Surely not gonna happen, but if it does let's make it rain. It only needs to go 50% up, no? Grin

Well, you didn't specify which halving.. this or the next one (2028) lol. Well then I'm in  Grin

217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regret in cryptocurrency? on: April 17, 2024, 10:42:16 AM
These stories are extremely common, I discovered bitcoin myself in 2011, and like many people did, I also didn't care and didn't buy it.

In fact, I had no way of knowing exactly whether it would work or not, it was practically impossible to know that it would appreciate so much. .. Cases of people from that time who kept their bitcoins in hodl until today must be very rare, because if you buy something for 0.10 and that something is worth 10 thousand dollars, it is very difficult not to want to sell.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 17, 2024, 10:36:34 AM
It's normal for Neymar to play poker, he's been a poker player for many, many years, since he played for the Santos team in Brazil, besides poker, Neymar Jr is also known for being a competitive online video game player... Ronaldo Fenômeno, former Real Madrid and Brazilian national team player, plays alongside him.
Yeah, it's normal for him playing poker but that is not really the issue, it's the fact that he is doing it while celebrating his daughter's birthday. The only reason why the OP and a lot of other people had issue with him playing poker. I mean it doesn't look good for him but it is not enough indication to say that he is addicted.

Yes, I understand and agree that it sounds very strange. Well, young people (and even many adults) tend to never leave their cell phones aside, I see several of my friends, when we go out to talk or go to a restaurant for example, they don't put their cell phones down for even a minute, always on social media. .. anyway.. it's a new way of relating, I find it very strange actually, this preference for an online life instead of a real life.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 17, 2024, 10:31:52 AM
Apparently it's Netflix's tendency to invest in fights. It doesn't make much sense, but it's a niche to be explored. Apparently they will just be fights that will be promoted as they would have no appeal if not for Netflix.
Nope, i dont see for this fight to have no appeal even if they would be deciding to go with other mediums and not that using Netflix or using up the standard way on how these fights do really happen.
If we do really think up throughly then both parties would really be having that mutual benefit on which this isnt really just that Mike/Jake or this fight overall would be getting that attention but also same
goes with Netflix on boosting up when it comes to exposure knowing on that these dudes or fighters are really that known specially Tyson plus with that Clown Jake Paul.
They do know that they could really benefit to each other and this is why its not really that shocking that these kind of partnerships or agreements do really happen.
Its all about business yah know.  Kiss

I think that Netflix did well in this fight venture, anyway, if it weren't for Netflix, any other streaming platform would love to have exclusive access to a fight by the legend Mike Tyson.

I think younger people don't understand how much GIANT is the name Mike Tyson, he is simply one of the greatest boxing fighters of all time, any fight of his is a giant event on planet earth.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2024, 10:25:00 PM
The WW3 rumours, Fed keeping rates higher for longer, GBTC still selling off, anything else they want to stick in the mixing pot to try and mess everything up?

It’s annoying and a little unsettling, thinking that potentially any more FUD could send us under 60k. I’m not sure we can take much more bad news and hold 60k.

However the halving is in 3 days, I thought we’d be at maybe 45k at the halving if you asked me last year. Things will become very bullish, very quickly. We just need to be patient, there’s a lot of negativity right now with current world events and it’s spilling into markets, Bitcoin is not immune to panic selling.

Stay strong, ignore the noise and HODL.

$200,000 - $250,000 in play for mid to late 2025.

We have very strong support at 59k

but this war thing, if it really becomes reality, at first there would be widespread panic... but then people would become aware of the GREAT VALUE utility of bitcoin, after all, who in times of war wouldn't want to see their assets safe in the clouds ? accessible anywhere on the planet... this would take BTC to unimaginable prices.
