We have published another DoS vulnerability in NavCoin, similar to the previous one we published in September (still not fixed).

Any word from the devs on this and the previous from SEPTEMBER still not fixed?

The wallet complains that there is a new version available to update but the latest I see is the one I have, 4.7.1

Same lol

So as I predicted a month or so ago, Nav IS being DELISTED on Poloniex on the 15th OCT!

This is such sad news for a coin I have been with for over 4 years.

The lack of volume and unreliable network / transactions are my guess as to why.

A sad day indeed......

Honestly, the wallet has not crashed since I upgraded to the latest version, it works smoothly.

So you are not getting the "not staking because you don't have enough mature coins" (when you clearly have lots of NAV) bug where it decides to put all of your coins into a fake string mode and looks like its working (blocks update, but ALL transactions are void?) My wallet "LOOKS" like its working, but every 2 days or so it just puts all of these false stakes through that never materialise. This is well documented and STILL a fat bug.

Keep telling yourselves its working fine and then ask the exchanges what they think? Go on ask them why the number of confirms is so high on NAV.

Now Devs please FFS fix it and stop with the hippy commune sh*t!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - Community Fund Live!!! on: October 02, 2019, 07:57:32 PM
Devs! Is it really too much to ask for a wallet that doesn't sh*t itself every couple of days?

This coin used to be so stable and now every one and their mom is coding little pieces of it, the quality and reliability is like a school project.

Yeah, Im p*ssed. Ive been with this coin since day one 4 years + ago and whilst most of the new "features" are welcome - the quality has suffered immensely as can be seen in the now 2000 + confirms required on most of the big exchanges.

Development is like a hippy commune now, instead of a focused and quality approach that it used to be.

I still believe in Craig and the core team that's why I am still here. I know they have it in them and that is 100% proven.

Thanks for the Post Stan86.

So am I right in thinking this means even LESS communication?

Whats happening with this coin? It seems its on some slow poison going down and down and down!

Design by committee and ZERO publicity are not helping IMHO.

We've published our disclosure: NavCoin – Bypassing Header Spam Protection.

VERY interesting. Im by no means an expert but interesting none the less.

In other news the volume on POLO to today is awful, I don't know how long they will put up with this without delisting us. Bigger coins have suffered this fate lately.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: how do you see the future of NAV COIN? on: July 16, 2019, 03:58:07 AM
what's up with this coin? She falls and falls Undecided Undecided Undecided

Just another victim of the altcoin slaughter that we have been seeing for months. Have you seen btc dominance lately?

Unfortunately, it feels different this time around. Many coins will not recover. This is the first time in years I actually worry about NAVs future.
There is simply not enough interest and too much competition in the niche NAV occupies

Gotta agree here.

We don't need a vote on marketing - just a bit of common sense - we will die without it.

Don't we have like 3 people doing marketing now?

This is the lowest I have seen nav in a very long time and I have been here since summer coin.......

IMHO too much going down rabbit holes and then moving onto something else. A reality check on common sense is really overdue now.

Agreed. Thats why I am resisting buying more at these crazy low prices. When Bittrex comes back I will buy more tho...
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - Community Fund Live!!! on: May 14, 2019, 11:59:49 AM
The volume of NAV on all markets has been tiny - Im kind of surprised we haven't been delisted.....

Admittedly nearly all alt coins have suffered losses since the rise of BTC but NAV has been haemorrhaging quite badly.

I will say it again, there are thousands of "Lennon & McCartneys" sitting in bedrooms all over the world. Unfortunately that's where they stay as the world never gets to see / hear them. NAV is potentially a huge force in crypto, but not enough people get to hear about it in the mainstream crypto circles.

Nav has great features, great devs and longevity on its side, we just need the world to know about it.....
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - Community Fund Live!!! on: May 13, 2019, 10:34:24 PM
NAVcoin was marketed as a privacy coin form the start. It should not be even up for discussion IMO to lose that property.
It also used to have its own unique method of implementing privacy, during the 3.x era
I'm getting the feeling (and I really hate to say this) that it is becoming more and more homogenized and as a result harder to make an impression compared to other coins.

Still I have hope because the team is committed. I hope the price drop is just due to the market in general and the bittrex situation in particular. It's taking far too long at this point.
Must admit I was shocked that the privacy vote came up too as that was what attracted me back in the summercoin days! (and I'm still here many years later!)

Other than that the Devs are doing a fine job.

WTF? Today is my 5 year anniversary on bitcointalk....I need to do something with my life  Grin

Very cool to see some old accounts remaining active in the community. OMFG, what a ride it's been.

Great to see new faces as well, you've stumbled into a great project.

Staking 24/7 again, nom nom nom nom.

"orphan stakes are the worst"

Ahhh John, Well I for one have missed you!

And many happy returns on your 5th anniversary!

Go team Nav!

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - Community Fund Live!!! on: February 13, 2019, 09:15:17 PM
Haven’t heard any updates on the project in over 4 years. Could you please share any update?

Have you been in prison on another planet?

Seriously, this thread is 1200+ pages long, are you sure there is nothing in there that's not "new"?

I know you are probably just trying to get your post count up, but seriously - nothing in 4 years?
