Why did you seriously think that you would be able to recover an account that you are holding as collateral if you do not have 100% control of the account? That is like accepting a promise that someone will give you collateral when they default.

There is nothing wrong with buying and selling accounts if both parties agree, and the buying party does not have an intention to cheat the community or break any rules or spam the forum.

Buying selling account is allowed on the forum but selling hacked account is not allowed . if you got caught selling hacked or scammed account you will get ban too .

This is a new rule, obviously made by you or it was a mistake. "Scams aren't moderated" and also if there was a rule like that, I, Marco and few thers would have been banned long ago. I don't think this rule will ever come to existence because it is hard to know what is true and what is not.
Who did you scam? Are you an alt of FuckIdolPlus? You seemed to be pretty adamant about him not scamming even though it was pretty clear that he did, screenshots included.
11403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need Advice Please | Like to Learn more about Bitcoin Exchange Service & Buisness on: April 07, 2015, 03:06:28 AM
Thank you again… one last question, Any miners that you may think of that would contract with me to sell me bitcoins? I have been told that is the way to buy bitcoins in bulk so I can get them FAST and ON the spot close or even under to the current market.
I do not, but I don't know why miners would sell at prices lower then what others would be willing to sell for. Right now you can sell ~311BTC at once at the best price available and you would only cause the price to drop by ~1%, on bitfinex you would need to sell over 1,000BTC at the best available price all at once to cause the price to drop by 1%. These amounts work out to ~8.6%, and ~27.7% of the target daily amount of bitcoin mined. If a miner wanted to sell all the bitcoin they mine the same day their blocks mature, then they would most likely sell throughout the day at a pretty even pace causing them to get roughly the market price.

If a large miner were to sell P2P then they would have to incur additional risks and would likely want to charge higher prices to account for those risks.
11404  Other / Meta / Re: This user banned? on: April 07, 2015, 02:50:49 AM
A search of the modlog does not find his UID, however this does not mean that the account is not on a temp ban.

How long ago did this happen? It is possible that he is simply trying to get QT to sync, or waiting for his exchange to process his withdrawal request. If it has been more then a few hours then I would suggest opening a scam accusation against him, along with proof of your agreement (PM screen shots) and documentation that the group was transferred.

edit: I see that he was last online two days ago and per below this happened a week ago. Yea you should open a scam accusation
11405  Other / Meta / Re: Please remove the Digital Goods section on: April 07, 2015, 02:46:52 AM
I don't think the digital goods section should be removed, nor do I think it is filled with illegal offers.

First of all the laws that are allegedly broken when selling pirated software are IP laws which are generally not viewed as "just" and will not try to proactively enforce them.

Looking at the first 4 pages (158 threads) in the digital goods section, I found the following:
-9 threads that are selling accounts (e.g. netflix, HBOGo, etc.) that are priced at levels that they are likely stolen
-9 threads that are selling gift cards at a large enough of a discount that I can use common sense to say they were probably originally obtained illegitimately
-14 threads that are either selling MSDN related keys or apparently similarly obtained keys (note this is disputed by many, including me, that this is actually against the law)
-2 threads denoting that threads were moved to another section to account for why I only counted 158 threads above

This works out to roughly 20% of the threads on the first four pages that are selling potentially illegally obtained items, however that percentage drops to roughly 11% if you don't believe selling MSDN (and similar) keys is illegal.

Please note that the threads I counted are only apparently "illegal" and I have not actually found actual evidence that laws have been broken, I need to make certain assumptions to come to the conclusion that laws were broken. I also think it is fair to say that some small percentage of items being sold that are "tagged" as potentially illegally obtained are likely legitimately obtained but their seller is simply trying to get rid of them quickly.
11406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [SUGGESTION] To The Signature Campaign Managers - Payout Address Changes on: April 07, 2015, 01:50:13 AM
This is how evil panda handled address changes. It also keeps the campaign manager accountable as they have documentation as to why they sent payment to specific addresses. People should be able to freely change their payment addresses at the start of a payment period though
11407  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk account hacked any way to recover? on: April 06, 2015, 10:51:24 PM
A few replies here.

What Quickseller seems to not be acknowledging is that in principle, the limits/lack of features on newer accounts aren't there just because accounts are like fine wines and need to age a little in order to taste nice, it's because the people who own these accounts are supposed to be limited in this way until they've been around long enough to have proven themselves worthy of greater privileges.  There is a very real sense in which buying and selling of accounts undermines these restrictions.  To emphasize, it's not that in principle newbie accounts are supposed to be limited, in principle its that newbie people are supposed to be limited.  This is carried out by limiting newbie accounts.
The limits are to prevent people from scamming. They were instituted as a result of this thread which was complaining about phishing attempts and scam attempts via PM. The reason why people will not try this with a purchased account is that if they are caught trying to scam then their investment will disappear so people have an incentive not to scam with a purchased account (this incentive is not there when you go and create a brand new account and then make a few posts until it becomes a junior member).
Now, I'm not passionate about this issue.  And I understand that the forum rules don't disallow account buying and selling, but I think that in arguing about this it's important to recognize that there's no logical point of limiting newbie accounts unless you understand that as a proxy for limiting newbie people who control these accounts.
There are a good number of people who run their business out of separate accounts from their "main" one.
In many ways, I see the lack of a ban on buying and selling accounts as a strange kind of loophole in the prohibition on ban evasion.  That is, there's a rule that if you're banned then you're not supposed to buy a new account in order to be unbanned.  But apparently, if you're a newbie, there's no prohibition on buying another account in order to get around restrictions on post time waiting and cetera.

Just my 2 Satoshis.
It is much easier to tell that two accounts belong to the same person then it is to tell that one account no longer belongs to the previous owner. Not only that but there are a number of legit reasons to both buy and sell accounts so there is no good reason to prohibit their sale even if they reasonably could be detected and stopped
11408  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking to buy Spondoolies SP31/35 on: April 06, 2015, 10:26:12 PM
Hi , Looking to buy Spondoolies  SP31/35  in the US,EU. I want to buy 30 units  PM me. pay escrow Paypal
FYI - PayPal does not make for a very good escrow. Especially considering that disputes can be opened up to 180 days after payment is sent. Plus the fact that the funds used to pay for the miners could be stolen. It would make both parties much more safe if bitcoin was used and a on forum escrow was used.

Here's my post and address from August 16, 2014. I was senior member back then, I applied for "asicminer prisma" signature campaign.

That post is unedited. As long as you can sign a dated message with the address 1FUUJ2bz8VuYHWKQYQRY7tzh5BDuQUMJbP then the buyer should most likely be protected

Probably because he either has one he wants to join on or wants to rat someone else out  Grin.
Nope. He is very much against the trading of accounts.
11411  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Hero member Account [Starting bid 0.6 BTC] on: April 06, 2015, 09:48:01 PM
I have contacted admin BadBear https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=41911 for advice how to prove my ownership over this account besides signed msg. He will probably check if everything is fine. I have  financial problems in my life, so it's the reason why I am selling this account. I don't have any connection with stolen accounts, marco or anything let's say "illegal"

Here's also my reputation thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665656.0
I traded some domains, hosting account, altcoins etc.

If you can sign a message from an old address then that should be enough to prove ownership. The question was that there was a known hacked account from a long time ago. I am not sure if it received negative trust or not. I don't think there is a very big risk personally as long as the post that contains the btc address has not been edited.

OP, how do you feel about senior accounts that could be verified as bought & sold (no longer belonging to original owner)?
Do you approve?
I am not sure why they would care. I am not sure why you think they would care

Congratulations. You are the winner. I will PM you with a payment address shortly.
11414  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk account hacked any way to recover? on: April 06, 2015, 09:37:34 PM
You have to wait 6 minutes between posts and can only send 5 PMs per hour which makes it extremely difficult to conduct business, especially when you have close to 4,000 PMs in your inbox. It drops to 74 seconds when you have 15 activity and 60 seconds with 60 activity and still have severely restrictive PMs limits.

So, let me get this straight, a brand new bitcointalk user has has 4,000 PMs?  ohyou.gif
Obviously not, but when you receive 4k PM's over 10ish months then you will have a lot of periods when you need to send many more then 5 PM's per hour.

Most deals do not involve someone asking for a payment address on the 1st PM, most involve asking a number of questions and a good amount of back and forth negotiation. If you are limited to 5 PM's per hour then it would easily take two hours to get a deal done and that is assuming that the only people that ever PM you end up actually trading with you

You can earn .0015 per post with a hero account so you could make .6 per month by making 400 posts which is not unrealistic

Passports are not scarse and there is no waiting period to get one. If you are a citizen of the country then you can get one. Higher level accounts are scarse and it takes time for them to rank up.

You are only making yourself look like a fool by saying that you would use a passport to fix a table or a stool.
11416  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk account hacked any way to recover? on: April 06, 2015, 09:06:32 PM
Signature deals, don't have to wait as long between posts/PMs having an avatar, getting to own something that is scarce/rare.

current high bid. Auction end time extended by 15 minutes due to anti snip rule.
11418  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk account hacked any way to recover? on: April 06, 2015, 09:00:49 PM
You are an idiot. An older account has certain features that new accounts do not have. Unless you are doing business with someone, there is no identity to misrepresent.

It is illegal to sell your passport. It is not against any rule to sell accounts.

You are clearly misreprenting yourself as being a newer account when you clearly are not.
11419  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] WoodCollector's personal information on: April 06, 2015, 08:46:40 PM
Lol. You are probably an alt of WC trying to scam just like you are with the auction of the wooden coin that you claim to be part of a puzzle that will lead to 5,000 BTC.

I have to give it to you that you are very good at trolling and entertaining.
11420  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Hero member Account [Starting bid 0.6 BTC] on: April 06, 2015, 08:44:43 PM
Was it obtained by because of hacker's defaulted loan?

If ownership is proven through an old (6 months or more) address which has been mentioned in an unedited post, you really don't have to worry about whether the account was hacked/hacked and then sold/hacked and used as collateral in a defaulted loan.
he is asking if the OP is an alt of marcotheminer who took an account as collateral then the next day someone claimed that their account was hacked. I believe this was back in August of last year.
