901  Economy / Economics / Re: What if all those Fund houses dump all their Bitcoins? on: June 17, 2016, 02:40:57 PM
If they have a lot of coins they want to sell, they would slowly liquidate them.
Dumping the coins in the market only hurts them.
902  Economy / Economics / Re: EU Bnks Stock vs Bitcoin Comparison on: June 17, 2016, 02:39:32 PM
Why would you compare the two?
Bitcoin is a totally different asset class.
Plus banks are struggling to lend in this current environment of ample liquidity.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 16, 2016, 04:18:21 PM
Ireland is going very slow from the start and i think it will be very hard for it to win this match, i don't think 303 will be easy for it to chase because Sri Lanka has more quality bowlers and delivering more best result for it, it looking Ireland will lose this match by big margin more like more than 50 runs.

Ireland cannot chase 303 as they dont have depth in batting.then it all depends upon Srilankan bowlers as i am not familiar with these new breed of players Smiley

They might be slow, but they are in no way disgracing themselves.
It looks good when an associate nation bats for a long time in a one day international match.
People would have expected Sri Lanka to bundle out Ireland quickly.
904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: June 16, 2016, 04:16:23 PM
This is why I have liquidated my position in Bitcoins. There is very little upside going forward. Block size limit is too low. No forward moves of late have any traction whatsoever and demand continues to lag. Way too little upside for such a risky proposition so my advice is to move into dollars.  Only a significant change in the economy could alter this forecast.

Sells right at the end of an accending triangle..

why in the fuck of fucks would you do this?  Poor guy.

There could be poorer guys.
Guys who bought at $1200 and sold in desperation at $200.
You need to believe in Bitcoin and ride these cycles out, to make some real profits.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: June 16, 2016, 04:13:11 PM
You have to aim for 21 BTC and hold then losing term, it's as easy as that. Ok not that easy to get 21 BTC, but still not mission impossible, with hard work and dedication it can be done, unless the price keeps rising this fast, then it will be impossible for anyone that is not upper class.

But 21 BTC is a big money. I mean even if Bitcoin will stop rising at $700 it's $15,000, the amount which is impossible to make in 1 year in most countries. Yes, right, that's if you not from the upper class of course.

Even if you can scrape together $15K, it would be foolish to risk it all on Bitcoin, unless you can afford to lose it.
We may be in a bull run now, but things can change very quickly.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 16, 2016, 04:11:16 PM
According to the title 'The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin?' For me its good, we are experiencing bitcoin halving today, In april the price of bitcoin is 403$ but now bitcoin is hitting 724$ . It is almost 3/4 of the April bitcoins price

The increase is 3/4th of April's price.
75% gain is not bad at all.
Unfortunately, we will never be able to know how much is due to the impending halving, and how much is not.
907  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: June 16, 2016, 01:14:06 AM
I'm really thinking it will stay rising till a certain point and that is when the halving begins, I think it will than lower a bit.
After the halving it will begin rising again.

We saw certain price drop in last two days but it will again start rising in next week, and we may see all time high price at the time of halving but not sure what will be the price after the halving is done.

If you mean the drop from $700 to $680, that was quickly reversed.  Grin
Bitcoin has gone up to $715 now.
The trend definitely seems to be upwards.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is hyping about bitcoin price in 2016 on: June 16, 2016, 01:12:12 AM
The price is still going up so I can understand why people are getting hyped because of this. I am also ready to sell some coins because the price is nice and high right now.

I think it is not the time to sell our coins, the price of bitcoin is still much lesser regarding to the expectations from halving, we should have to wait a few months more as after a few months we will see the price more higher maybe it will be doubled up at that time.

when prices are very low under $400, we expect the rise in prices to sell and now the price is very high, but people always want to be greedy, to await higher. I think to sell some today it's good, but is waiting closer when halving it better

Yes, you can sell some coins and book profits.
It is kind of de-risking your portfolio.
You should apply the same rules of traditional trading to Bitcoin as well.  Smiley
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: June 16, 2016, 01:09:28 AM
If you spend your coins now then you are definitely playing with your profits as price will go higher at the time of halving so its better not to spend now.

There is a work around to that. Spend your bitcoins and buy back some bitcoins from exchanges.
That way, you don't lose out on any potential profits.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 16, 2016, 01:06:16 AM
Wow, what a finish from SA 343/4 in 50 overs

WI will have to do much better to get this.

West Indies crashed to a huge defeat.
They let Tahir get 7 wickets!!!
West Indies are so unpredictable. It would be foolish to bet on them unless you get very good odds.
911  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: June 14, 2016, 03:35:14 PM
Lol just because you are dumping doesn't mean we have to dump alongside you. Just because you're taking a shit doesn't mean we have to take a shit alongside you. Just because you have your beliefs doesn't mean we have to believe you.

The logic is real, huh.
Yeah that's right ,if they want or dump his coins its ok because he will earn on it ,but to make us follow him because he already dump it ,it is his lost many of us still holding and waiting until the end of halving.

No one knows what is the reality, he really dumped his coins or he wants that we should dump our coins by listening to others, its an individual decision when he wants to sell his coins.

The OP was talking about selling his coins in December 2015, when the price was in the 400s.
Irrespective of what the OP did, we know that his advise to sell was wrong.
912  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the next halving really matter that much? on: June 14, 2016, 03:29:56 PM
yes. after halving my bitcoin prices are expected to rise very high. Now the movement is so positive and future bitcoin bitcoin movement will be fantastic.

Who is gonna keep buying at those high prices you expected?
Every Tom, Dick and Harry has already purchased bitcoins with all their spare cash.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoin Market Capitalization (newbie) on: June 14, 2016, 03:27:27 PM
Yes, that is right. The big jump is due to ethereum and its derivatives like DAO.
Keep in mind that you don't need a large increase in market cap in dollar/absolute terms to make money.
What matters is the percentage jump. Get into an alt which has a low market cap and you can make a lot of profits if it clicks.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 14, 2016, 03:23:32 PM
Well played WI...Imagine if Gayle & Russel returns to team...it would be a team to beat with all ingredients like spinners, hard hitters, innings building players, fast bowlers, finishers...wow, just they need to sort out administrative issues for the good of cricket & their team...at the same time I feel sad because they missed out playing in Champions Trophy in place of BD

They really have some hard hitters. West Indies hit 10 sixers in the chase of 266!!
Gayle isn't the only West Indian who can clear the rope easily.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 12, 2016, 11:30:40 AM
There are 2 more days to go in this match between England and Sri Lanka. There is no chance for Sri Lanka to be able to draw.If there was one day remaining in current position then it could be thought. Now England is going to win easily. This is obvious man.

You forgot one crucial variable - Rain.
Rain has already delayed the start of the fourth day's play.
If rain persists, it will make Sri Lanka's task of saving the match easier.
916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big dump just started on: June 12, 2016, 11:28:44 AM
In time to celebrate new high for the year at 624, they are dumping now.

Dumping??
The market capitalization of Bitcoin just crossed $10Bn now.
There is no stopping Bitcoin.  Smiley
917  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 12, 2016, 11:27:26 AM
Because in bitcoin it easy to grow your cash? Example of buying bitcoin with your cash and then holding it for the incoming bitcoin halving on this month of july. In bitcoin you can grow your money in bitcoin by just holding it but in cash, can you grow your money by just holding it? :/ Tongue

People who were holding bitcoins when it was valued at $1000+ won't agree with you.
I agree that the price has risen in the last few months, but that doesn't mean that it will always rise.
918  Economy / Economics / Re: If you hold 1 BTC you are a pioneer on: June 12, 2016, 11:26:03 AM
If you hold 10 or more you are part of an elite.

This is my conclusion after the years I have been involved here. Absolutely no one in real life knows what the hell Bitcoin is, and even your most geeky friends may probably never heard about Bitcoin. Now if you take into account the people that has heard about it... what percentage own 1 BTC? Exactly.. you know almost no one.
And what percentage own 10 BTC? I personally know no one (people from this forum don't count obviously).

This simple observation shows you only need 1 BTC to be a pioneer on Bitcoin in 2016.

In my opinion anybody who holds any amount of bitcoin is a pioneer. While anyone who owns above 1 BTC should be the part of an elite. If you look at the bitcoin distribution chart there aren't that many addresses containing 1+ BTC.

But you know, bitcoin has a long way to go and it's always good to invest more into it.

Having dust transactions in your wallet won't make you a pioneer.
This is true irrespective of how high Bitcoin rises.
919  Economy / Economics / Re: What Country Has Most Of The Bitcoins? on: June 10, 2016, 04:29:55 PM
Which country is Satoshi from?  Grin
He still controls over a million coins.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 10, 2016, 04:28:53 PM
Sri Lankan team has chance to push this match towards draw of it get succeed to stay on the crease by tomorrow whole day, after day 3 draw will be more favorite because it will surely into leading position and will be into more safe position to win this match or possible finish with draw result.

Sri Lankan opening pair has done a good job, but there is still some way to go. The first target will be avoiding the follow on (should not be a problem with 9 wickets in hand) and then overhauling England's score. The best result possible for Sri Lanka is a draw.
