Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XDN DigitalNote

What does XMR have that XDN does not? as far as i can see XDN is the far better choice yet it gets very little attention. i mean XMR doesn't even have a GUI wallet and XDN has a great one with crypto messaging and block chain deposits soon to have PoA tied in with it. im not saying XMR is a bad coin im just lost as to why XDN is practically invisible right now.
XDN is likely connected to the BCN devs and had hardly any features when most of the coins were mined (probably by the devs) and it was called ducknote/darknote. By the time all the features arrived (PoA is not here) and it was rebranded almost all coins were mined so distribution is likely horrible. Network hashrate remains low so the network is not very secure. XDN does not have anywhere close to the level of innovation of XMR (aside from appearance with its GUI). OpenAlias, LMDB (its creator is now a Monero dev), tail emission, RingCT and more make XMR far more advanced than any other CryptoNote coins. https://lab.getmonero.org/A GUI is not everything. Boolberry was the first to have a GUI (and pruning) yet BBR marketcap is mcuh lower than XDN

One other thing, has anyone noticed MyMonero stating a different payment and fee amount on the confirmation page than when you actually look up the Transaction ID? Once I get my other issue handled with ShapeShift, I'll post an example with the Transaction ID versus what MyMonero's output was.
Payment amount is probably due to change, which depends on what inputs are selected. The fee shouldn't be different though; I'd be interested to see that. OK, here you go. This was what MyMonero's confirmation page told me when I originally sent it. I simply copied and pasted the following from it into a text file, and only did this once, so there couldn't have been any mix-up on multiple transactions (the wallet only contained ~26.33 XMR): Amount 26.23493623 (+0.06 fee) Payment ID 68bf7209978fcc3ac1227c962e0be4cb55cd7873f234dae8eb50006ba7fe5759 Transaction ID c969039420df1f884463b5c4a4ad0fc45d5756b40bdc9097a55aa6d0bc1c7cb7 However, if you look the transaction up on Chainradar, it shows: 26.274936230000 (+0.045063770000 fee) See here: http://chainradar.com/xmr/transaction/c969039420df1f884463b5c4a4ad0fc45d5756b40bdc9097a55aa6d0bc1c7cb7 Could it be possible that I somehow accidentally double spent with two different transactions when trying to find an appropriate fee? I only had enough XMR to spend close to that total amount once (as I was trying to spend my entire wallet), but I kept getting "not enough spendable outputs", so I decreased the amount I was trying to send each time until it finally went through, giving me the above information on the confirmation page. I did have the wallet open in another window at one point, but I only recall getting the error messages there -- no confirmation page. I would have realized it if I'd gotten two confirmation pages during the course of this. Nothing is wrong. Mymonero attaches a small fee for each transaction: https://mymonero.com/#/terms5. Fees 5.1. Company Fees. Access to the account is free, but the Company may charge fees for additional Services. Specifically, and at a minimum, the Company can and does charge a fee for every transaction that is sent. Any applicable fees will be displayed in each Service.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry Speculation

If it the Ethereum 2.0, then I will buy some. Ethereum is almost a one billion dollar bubble or asset. Boolberry is absolutely not Ethereum 2.0 nor does it have any intention of pursuing that path. Boolberry is user friendly CryptoNote coin focused on privacy. Never buy a coin based on hype.

People seem somewhat hostile to speculators in the speculation thread.
If you are referring to the public interactions some people had with you in the last week I am not sure if the hostility was directed at speculation itself. To me it seemed like people were annoyed that you were complaining about whales who in your view were acting sub-optimally with their placement of buy and sell walls. Your posts did not bother me at all but I can see why some would challenge your objections (to buy and sell wall placement) since in their view speculation (particularly while trading on margin) assumes the risk of the things your were complaining about. Furthermore since each person in the community acts independently, it would not matter if most of the community agreed with you. Those who did not could still place buy and sell walls wherever they wanted as should be the case in a free market. For the 1 millionth time, you're conflating my previous loss with my later complaint about the whale. I AM NOT ON MARGIN. Sorry. It sounds like I did not read all your posts carefully enough and I made an incorrect assumption. Please accept my apology. I am not a trader but do find your technical analysis interest at times. Please keep posting your thoughts.

The price uis rising and nobody cares. Why should we care? Most of us are in Monero for the long term and only care about development progress and increasing usage of Monero as a currency. For me the only good thing (short term) about an increasing price is if that increase encourages more businesses to consider accepting Monero or makes more potential users aware of it.

BTW, the first time I didn't say I was "leaving", I said you wouldn't hear from me. That's because I would have been liquidated by 300k. I took care of that issue.
If that means you are no longer trading on margin that is probably a good thing. Small price swings seem to really stress you out.
