They will almost certainly go with the euro or create their own currency. There are so many prohibitive reasons not to.

I feel Bitcoin will almost certainly continue to decline while merchants are flooding the market with sell orders and there is no buy pressure to offset it (such as by increased interest by the general public).

Merchants selling. This is the reason the price is going down. As soon as merchants started accepting BTC in large quantities, the price began to go down and now seems to be accelerating downward.

What I'm waiting for is all of the social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter) to add the ability to tip for useful information. From what I understand, YouTube is already in the process of setting this up with fiat, but I would be much more like to send 1,000 Doge than $0.20.

Are there any accounts of Satoshi Nakamoto that have definitely not been hacked? Or is definitive communication from him/her/them now an impossiblity?

 

I'm one of the people that believes the price is dropping because merchants are immediately selling BTC that they are being paid in. Massively increases sell pressure without increasing buy pressure.

It will be bad for the price of Bitcoin, but it's important that people spend anyways. This is what will continue to get businesses to accept it and make people want to keep working on it.

I believe it is probably not a good idea to invest in most altcoins long-term. Just my 2 cents, but for what it's worth...

What we really need is a way to make all of these commodity-backed coins legally backed by the commdoities.

I just don't understand the branding behind some of these crypto names. htmlcoin, really? I know it was a scam, but who really thinks that something called htmlcoin would become a widely accepted thing? Personally, I'd go with Minicoin.

Finally, a coin with a Linux wallet!

I can't wait for 20 years from now when we all know what happened with cryptos and what they became.
