1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: May 15, 2024, 07:42:12 PM
The future of cryptocurrency over the next 20 is something we can't predict but presently we all know how crypto transaction is fast growing in world, talk less of next 20 years,if the transaction is growing currently, how much more will it look like in the next 20 years its really beyond our imagination. My view on crypto transaction in the next 20 years, crypto will massively impact the economy positively despite it volatile nature.I can't say it will replace our traditional currency because that was not the reason why bitcoin was invented it was invented for financial freedom, accessibility, transparency and so on.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: May 15, 2024, 03:19:31 PM
Hi,

There are always things that we are passionate about doing, such as video games, football, basketball, and sports in general, meaning that everyone has something that excites them and makes them want to do.
Like others, I get very excited when I sit down, take my phone, and start my bets. This does not mean that I am addicted, but rather I find it more comfortable and I have more fun.

Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?
Everyone has what excites him or her. Most gamblers just feel that exciting moment when gambling it's not like they're addicted to it.Just like most gamblers will say that gambling is for fun, don't you feel excited when having fun? definitely you will, it's also similar when a gambler gets excited while gambling. Then most gamblers are motivated from their previous wins, motivation may speak differently as most investors are motivated from wins while some for fun.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 15, 2024, 02:50:19 PM
I've heard of such act from different angles where students use their school fees or money some persons contributed to gamble. It sounds and looks crazy when I see such act, gambling is uncertain you don't know if whether you might win or loss. Some folks are so desperate to go extra mile for gambling seek. There are risk that shouldn't be classified as risk such is the scenario where a student will gamble with his/her school fees and call it a risk Hell NO such risk isn't right, risk should be taken rightly.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: May 15, 2024, 02:25:40 PM
There was a friend of mine who visited me a day after and he was saying gambling every day draws you more closer to winning.

I asked him how?

He said when you keep trying luck every day you stand the chance not to miss your luck of winning, he also made reference to few people around our locality who won outrageous Money within 31 Dec to 1 January 2024, asking if I knew how often those people keep trying for them to have the winning they got.

I said No! He then say the more you space the more I missed my chances of winning but what I came to understand is that, the more anyone keeps trying the slimmer such persons turns into gambling addiction becus such person will always want to gamble regularly stirring up some forms of pressure to himself. When there is no money to gamble such person don't mind going extramile to source for funds since he has install this mentality of regularly gambling without giving break.

My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.
Gambling everyday with the belief of winning is also same with losing, the both work together is either you win or you lose. The chance of winning doesn't matter how frequent you play but how best you know how to play the game and if your lucky enough you'll win.Your friend is just looking for all means to entice you with his wins from playing frequently but he won't tell you his losses from his frequent gambling. So if you wanna gamble it shouldn't be everyday so you don't get addicted to it.
5  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Opportunity come but once. on: May 14, 2024, 09:10:57 PM
This opportunity wey come your side wey you wan take advantage of dey very risky,I go tell you say make you let go because no be only your money dey your siblings money sef follow for the contribution. You know as bitcoin dey volatile what if the price no con turn up the way you expect wetin you wan explain give your siblings say na opportunity dem give you to take investment nah nah things don't workout dat way,if to say na your money that one nobody go vex because na your decision but whereby you go use money wey group of persons contribute take invest on Bitcoin dey risky oh.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why people dey plagiarise for forum and how we go avoid am. on: May 14, 2024, 08:38:47 PM
This trend na really important trend.Plagiarism as the implies na academic theft and also criminal act wey get minor consequences but for this forum I go say the consequences na major one.For some countries plagiarism na criminal act wey dem dey take am serious. If to say plagiarism consequences no be ban of account for this forum omo the plagiarism for too much.Plagiarism for no dey oh but most pipo dey fail to acknowledge the writer by dropping link or mentioning the name of the author.Sometimes I go just dey wonder why most newbies dey fail to drop the source where dem take one write-up or the other even when e no go cost dem anything all because dem wan impress person, but dem forget say dem dey impress person in a wrong way.Plaugiarism just dey very simple to avoid, something wey you know say you take am from other person write-up just drop the source where you take to avoid the consequences that follows.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not forget your Bitcointalk account password!!! on: May 14, 2024, 07:39:24 PM
Op all the points you mentioned are valid. It's important that everyone on this forum should create an account with an active email that can be accessed for the sake of notifications and recovery of password if forgotten.
Every user on the forum has a way of gaining mastery over their password but it would be advised to use an active email that can be accessed on the safer part.Personally let me speak for myself, how I've gained mastery over my password, like what I do is I use one particular password for almost every platform online so there no way I can forget although I'm also using an active email that I can access but that's what I do to gain mastery over password. Most users will prefer regular login and logout in order to keep their password stick in  their memories whatever way to keep our password in our memory it's still necessary to use an active email that you can accessed.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do to get merit reward? on: May 14, 2024, 05:19:17 PM
You just asked a good question since your desiring to rank up and it also seems like your begging for merit. You know what,if you wanna get merit rewards, your quality posts and contributions will definitely get you rewarded. And also if you wanna start making quality posts and contributions you just have to start learning from high rank members on the forum because they are well knowledgeable and experienced bitcoiners and stop using AI.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: May 14, 2024, 05:02:15 PM
I recently created a post asking if I should buy bitcoin now or wait for the dip, and majority of the response I got from the post, advised that I should buy now rather than waiting for the dip due to its volatile nature, and I'm satisfied with this response and I'm willing to bear the risk.
Most investors are confused on making decisions on the best time to accumulate bitcoin, and the answer to that question is there is actually no specific time an investor should buy bitcoin. If an investor has the amount to buy Bitcoin and he/she is waiting for the dip moment to accumulate, such an investor is just making a wrong decision ever, even if the price is high every investor should just start buying using the preferred strategy which happens to be the DCA strategy.
Reason for all these questioning, I have a dream of becoming a long term bitcoin holder but, dreams aren't achieved with words alone, an action is needed for the start up, so I have decided to sell one of my less used phone for the purpose of buying bitcoin.
I'm really eager to purchase my first bitcoin in satoshi.
If you have the dream of being a long term holder that's actually a good dream you just have to chase your dreams. If you've decided to sell your less used phone it's actually your choice, you just have to use every opportunity you have to accumulate more and trust me you won't regret.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: May 13, 2024, 08:48:10 PM
People would always want to think whatever, they own their thoughts. The fact that their thoughts doesn't change the value of Bitcoin then Bitcoin still remains a store of value regardless their thoughts. Those people who think Bitcoin is a scam are those who have no knowledge about bitcoin, that's why it's good to know about something before concluding wrong speech.Bitcoin is one of the realest and legit decentralized digital currency that eliminates third parties in a transaction.Bitcoin enthusiast have been exploring and using Bitcoin regardless of people's opinions around us.No matter what people say Bitcoin is a scam it doesn't change my mindset because I've gone too far to believe shit.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: May 13, 2024, 08:15:12 PM
Well it's not basically about being educated or graduating with the best grades that makes you wealthy, it's about determination, being consistent and also persistent cause success and wealth are not achieved in one day or immediately after graduating. In as much as you have good grades, you must still improve your skills, not only job skills, marketing or management skills but your critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Being a graduate is not the key to being wealthy, yeah that's right but also the value of education should be neglected. We know that not all the graduates that came out 1st class are working in an organization/firm that offers them good pay, some even with their qualifications are still wandering and looking for a job like a fugitive. It doesn't matter if your a graduate, the power of acquiring wealth is in your hands if only you are determined and focused. Those wealthy people at the top became rich because they chased their dreams and achieved it.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin in our will, is it safe with lawyers? on: May 13, 2024, 07:43:58 PM
Bitcoin investment na investment wey person fit transfer give em next of kin even without the involvement of a lawyer but if the person feel say e dey necessary then the person fit do so but na the mutual trust nai con be the problem. From my own thought if person wan will him investment give lawyer so that after him dismissal him heir fit benefit from him investment na to create awareness between both parties, the family members go dey aware say their papa/mama investment will dey lawyer hand, but when the person no create awareness between both parties na there some selfish lawyers fit take advantage of the person investment without informing the person family member. But in the case where the family dey aware of their papa/mama investment and the lawyer wan achieve the investment that was willed dem fit use am tarnish the reputation of that lawyer. And before person go will him investment for him next of kin he go don educate them on bitcoin investment, wetin be digital wallet and seed phrase so that e nobody go fit deceive dem.
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Bitcoin A Safe Haven Asset For Investment? on: May 13, 2024, 06:53:48 PM
Bitcoin being volatile is even one of the major reason why it is considered as a safe haven asset because I think if Bitcoin wasn't volatile there would have been no bull moment.Investor can also take advantage of the volatility to accumulate more Bitcoin,so it can also be seen as a benefit.Just like you mentioned Gold as a proper safe haven asset do you also know it has it's own unique risk just like you consider volatility as a risk.
No be ROI or bull market we dey talk about here, this topic is about what is a safe haven asset or not, and a safe haven asset na one wey fit retain its value when there is a market decline or global economic crisis, and i no think say bitcoin don pass that test yet, part of the reason for that is that it is a relatively new asset. Gold has been around for a very long time, and e don prove say e fit retain its value, even in a global crisis.

And I no mention ROI,na features of Bitcoin wey make am safe haven asset for investment nai I mention,ok you talk say safe haven asset na asset wey dey retain e value even in the state of market decline or crisis, oya make I ask you one question bitcoin dey lose e value during market crisis?if de answer na NO then Bitcoin na safe haven asset.E no matter how long the asset don stay for the world for the fact say em dey retain it's value during economic crisis na safe haven dem dey call am.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Bitcoin A Safe Haven Asset For Investment? on: May 12, 2024, 01:12:37 PM
Bitcoin dey very volatile, so me i no go consider am to be a safe haven asset, its price dey fluctuate well well and e no dey retain its value for a long time, it is usually up and down. Look at Gold for example, it is a proper safe haven asset, e no go give you the kind of ROI wey you go get from bitcoin, but e dey retain its value, even during market decline.
Bitcoin is still an asset that is somewhat new, so prolly sometime along the line, its volatility could reduce and it might be considered a safe haven asset then, but for now it isn't. BTW, all the features you mentioned isn't what qualifies an asset as safe haven.
If all the features I mentioned isn't what qualifies an asset as safe haven then you can list yours that's why it's called a discussion.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 11, 2024, 11:41:13 PM
Gambling is becoming a popular thing in my locality almost everyone gamble and even colleagues gamble and engage in gambling related discussions at work,  so gambling is legal and very popular so there is no Shame in using part of a salary to gamble with that is why I am asking the question of what the right percentage from my salary that I should use to gamble?
There is no specific amount you can use to gamble it all depends on your income. If your income is more than enough then you can gamble with 15% of your income then if you earn little amount of income out from your income you can gamble like 5% of your income.Whether you earn large income or small, gamble the amount that maybe if you lose it won't affect your mental/physical status.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can we do to make Bitcoin hit $100k on: May 11, 2024, 11:14:34 PM
I have always been thinking about what we could do to make Bitcoin hit a tremendous amount.

Is there anything we could do??
The absolutely nothing we can do to hit tremendous amount of the new ATH.After the halving which happens every 4 years the price is affected positively which take some months after the halving to skyrocket,so we just have to wait patiently. And also with continuous demand and high liquidity in market the price will increase tremendously just like you said.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isn't trading almost like gambling? on: May 11, 2024, 11:01:00 PM
Gambling and trading are similar as both party have the chance of winning or losing.Gambling is a thing of luck only when you know how to play the game but trading requires more knowledge to monitor the market volatility to make profit. The both are only similar in terms of risk taking.Trading is more stressful compared to gambling,a gambler can play bet and live the casino hall while a trader is always watchful of the price volatility.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I get into trading on: May 11, 2024, 10:43:09 PM
Good day guys!
As someone who’s new to this space and wants to start trading, what are the steps I can take to start and how much of fund do I need to start?.
What wallet is best for me? Can I use meta trader?
As a newbie that wants to into trading you just to basically learn more on the fundamental and technical analysis of trading where which you can start practicing with a trading demo app to enhance/improve what you've learnt so far.And also don't forget to trade what you cannot afford to lose and don't fix your mindset on the risk but your mindset should be fixed on facing the outcome.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: May 11, 2024, 10:23:12 PM
For me proverty is not the problem of a person but of the whole nation in my country the eradication of poverty has becomes necessary for the sustainable and inclusive growth of the let state the fate here Bitcoin has helps the poor by Increasin their savings and access to capital also it has help around 1.7million people in my country and also it has also impoverished people to control their investment.
Op I don't understand want you mean by bitcoin has helped the poor.First can a poor person invest on Bitcoin, bitcoin investment requires sufficient money to invest and a poor person is someone who doesn't have sufficient fund to live a comfortable life so how then can he invest on bitcoin,so when you mentioned poor it got me confused, anyways many people have benefited from bitcoin.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can divorced couple reunite?? - please share experience on: May 11, 2024, 09:49:00 PM
This days There are diverse news of broken marriages all over the world, with little news of reunion. Lately my friends uncle just resurrected an old relationship after 1 year in divorced zone. but on every disagreement with his new fiancee, He keeps reminding us about the positive side of his ex wife. This leaves me with the thought that he will still take her in if there is a chance, but such incidence is rare in our society, But I wonder if it is forbidden. I need more idea on this
Memory does not necessary mean he wants her back in his life. They were married and something led to their divorce. He might remember and admire one attribute she possess and might not want her back again.Divorce in this our contemporary society has grown so rampant due to lack of mutual communication among couples, lack of trust among couples and lack of sexual intercourse whatever the case may be it's rare for divorce couple to reunite,it's not like it doesn't happen but it's rare.
