1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: April 08, 2024, 11:28:51 AM
When I lose, I stop or take a break once I reach my set budget for gambling. I don't have a habit of chasing losses, I only gamble with what I can afford to lose so it will not affect me financially. And when I win or recover my losses from winning, I also stop or take a break and don't gamble all my winnings and expect to win more, because if I do, it will only result in losses. It's very important to learn or know when to stop, it will not only help you financially but also help you have a good habit and practice responsible gambling.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is lack of proof a problem for you or not? on: April 08, 2024, 10:31:15 AM
To be honest I do not check if the casino has a license or not. What I do before I step into a casino is that I do a little research and check their reviews, and if they have a good reputation. When I'm intrigued and wanna find out more about a casino, I then check out how's their customer service, if it's good or nah. Or what I do is deposit a small amount to check if they have a good or fast deposit and withdrawal. If they are good and meet what I'm looking for in a casino, I slowly increase my bets (but not so much or high), and so far, I have not encountered a problem even though I'm not sure if they have a license or not.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 06, 2024, 08:43:31 AM
1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
1. I think I'll allow my kids to gamble at 21. I know 18 is already a legal age to gamble but I want them to gamble at least a little older. But as much as possible, I do not want to tolerate or let my kids gamble in the future. They can enjoy their lives by doing other or different things.
2. I'm honestly not sure when I want to quit gambling. Quitting gambling does not have a specific age to quit. And gambling is just there, you can now even play anytime anywhere, I might go gamble whenever I feel I want to gamble or when I have free time and financially stable.
3. Every time I win big when I gamble, I always have this habit of treating myself and my family. Buy something that satisfies us, especially our tummies haha.
4. To be honest, not really.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 05, 2024, 11:19:09 AM
Reading about your topic made me realize that these things may do happen in real life, although we do not know for sure if these kinds of scenarios do happen or not. I'm not a sports enthusiast or UFC fan but I'm sure that the sports organizations have preventive measures such as regulations to ensure that these kinds of scenarios would not happen in their sports because it would ruin the organization's integrity and reputation as well as their player or fighters.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos (2) on: April 05, 2024, 08:08:45 AM
It's my first time hearing that Telegram also operates casinos and I haven't personally tried Telegram casinos. I only have seen prediction groups on Telegram that give you insight on what will be the possible outcomes of some events. But so far, about the Telegram casinos,  I have heard mixed reviews about them. Some people find it convenient and enjoy the privacy aspect offered by the Telegram app. While for others expressed concerns about the reliability and security of these kinds of platforms, as well as the lack of regulation compared to traditional casinos.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much gambling can change a person and how low his mind can go. on: April 04, 2024, 11:22:54 AM
It's sad to hear about the child's addiction to gambling that leads them to steal from their own family. It's important for parents to stay vigilant, take action and address the child's addiction before it escalates further. The family should support have an open communication and guide their child to help break free from their addiction and prevent further harm.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling kills the fun in these two cases on: April 04, 2024, 10:44:09 AM
I agree, never ever make gambling as a source of income. Make it as a source of entertainment or a recreational activity. So it will not affect you financially and at the same time you enjoyed without thinking of any problems because of gambling. Always set a budget. Gamble with what you can afford to lose.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: April 04, 2024, 10:23:27 AM
Most gamblers hide their gambling is because they feel ashamed or afraid of being criticized by their family. So if you are thinking of telling your friend's addiction to his family, try to consider his or your relationship with his family. See if telling his family would have a good impact on his gambling addiction. Family can help better with addiction, they can support their loved ones well. And if not, then it's better to support your friend and push or recommend him to seek professional help.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your latest big win from gambling? on: April 03, 2024, 10:22:37 AM
I cannot remember when I had a big win, but I think it was around $120. I mostly play slots with the lowest minimum bet. I play slots for entertainment purposes only and I do not expect to win big because the odds of winning in slots is very low. Losing in slots does not affect me because I always have my set budget and that budget is something that I gamble that I can afford to lose.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: User experience Trends in Online Gambling: What's Next? on: April 03, 2024, 08:37:29 AM
I mostly do some research before I play in a platform. Once I see that the site is trusted, I now go see or check out what they can offer, such as fast deposit and withdrawals, and of course their promotion or loyalty program. To see what are the perks I could possibly get once I entered or switch on that platform. And lastly, like everyone else, I want a good customer service that can help answer all my queries, questions, and especially issues I face while using the platform.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 02, 2024, 10:23:36 AM
I would go for something that gives both profit and fun. If I don't find fun on the games I usually play, then I think it's time for me to reconsider other games that I haven't tried before that also give the same fun and profit. And If you think it's not really works out anymore like it used to, then, maybe you can try to take a break and find something else that would give the same thrill as gambling or explore other platforms and hobbies. There are many ways you can do and try, just keep exploring, there are so many other options until you find one that meets your expectations.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 02, 2024, 09:01:25 AM
I agree. Like what others say, like segs education, there should be a gambling education as well. So, people will gain some insights about the potential pros and cons of gambling before engaging into it. Having knowledge before engaging is much better than engaging with something that you are unaware of and what are the potential risks are kinda risky.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Amazing Vintage Slot Machines on: April 02, 2024, 08:38:47 AM
I've never since a vintage slot machine in my life, such a fascinating piece of art! I've never seen one ever since I only gamble online and have never been in a physical casino. So I appreciate you sharing this one haha. Online slot machines nowadays can be programmed with specific odds and payout rates, while for vinatge slots, it operates based on the original design and mechanisms. I think owning one is truly fun! you can play endlessly without spending money on bets. Just watch what will be the outcome when you spin. Ah~ now it makes me wanna own one as well haha!
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 01, 2024, 10:08:47 AM
For me, I think it can be considered as gambling. Claw machines seem innocent fun and many people of different ages play the game, but, as you have mentioned, it involves risking money or a chance to win a prize. Like in gambling, it involves skills, odds, and luck. Skills on how you are going to maneuver the claw and position it correctly to get the price. Since the game is random, even skilled players struggle to win consistently. Then Odds, often stacked against players, making it difficult to win consistently. And Luck, whether the outcome of getting the prize is successful or not.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the #1 rule you live by in sports betting? on: March 30, 2024, 08:47:07 AM
Enjoy the game regardless of the outcome
Gamble with what I can afford to lose
Learn when to walk away whether it's a win or lose
Avoid impulsive decisions because of emotions
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: March 30, 2024, 08:18:36 AM
I worked in an online casino before. It typically works like a referral program in a casino. When you sign up, you will have your own link. You will use your link to invite people to register or sign up under your link. This way you will earn your revenue share or commission from that casino. When I worked in an online casino before, we also looked for influencers or streamers with huge amount of followers, this way, we could ensure that they can invite many people to play on our platform and at the same time make sure that they will get commission or benefit from our casino. To make their invitation more attractive, we give perks to the people who register under the link of that streamer or influencer.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: March 29, 2024, 08:41:45 AM
Know when to not gamble is just like knowing when to gamble. Taking a break or knowing when to stop is the most important habit I do when I'm gambling. When I loss, I stop. When I win, I stop. When I reached the limit of my set budget, I stop. As much as possible I always avoid chasing losses. I do not let my emotions take away my decisions. That's why it's important to recognize what you are feeling on that day and also check your finances.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 29, 2024, 08:12:33 AM
No, I have never been kicked out from a casino. As much as possible I follow the rules and regulations of a casino, so I can enjoy my experience and avoid such situations. And if ever, there will be a time that I think I'm gambling too much, I can take a break or even do self exclusion from that casino.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 29, 2024, 07:53:21 AM
I always gamble with my best friend. Having the same bet with them can have both positive and negative aspects. Positive in a way that you'll feel comfortable and supported, especially when losing, just laughing it off. And negative in a way that there will be times that the two of you will have differences in opinion and strategies. It creates pressure on confirming the final decision of the bet. Although, sometimes, listening to them can always get insights that they have a point.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll: What Crypto coin would you prefer in a skill game on: March 28, 2024, 07:14:24 AM
When choosing the right cryptocurrency, it's important to consider transaction speed, fees and user accessibility. FUNToken is okay for fast and secure transactions and Sats/Lightning has advantage of microtransactions with minimal fees and instant settlement. Like as what majority of members are preferring, I also personally use and prefer TRX or USDT. TRX has fast transaction speeds and low fees, while for USDT, a stablecoin that provides price stability and can be particularly useful for players who prefer to avoid volatility.
