Idea is good . the team is very strong , i think that is good project worth to invest

What are you talking about? There has been no major updates on this project for a year and some of the devs that used to be on this coin moved on to another project. Such a troll.

Just to be clear, the majority of the SPR team left to Crown/CRW over 18 months ago (where you will find masternodes and systemnodes) and coins101 decided to salvage his investment in SPR by taking the idea to Helium which is currently launching.

So to be clear SPR is not active anymore and we should be looking at helium or what lol ..... still not very clear!

I'm not suggesting that anybody should be looking at anything.  I only said that the SPR team split up 18 months ago and moved to Crown/CRW and Coins101 decided to go his own way with Helium.

I don't know if Georgem is working on SPR any more.  He doesn't update BCT, Spreadcointalk or his Patreon any more. Given that it has been over a year since he last released anything and hasn't made any public progress on his roadmap, I personally assume that SPR is dead.

But its worth 11 cents at the moment? Am i looking at this right??

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/electroneum/

I assure you I am not trolling when I say this.  Just stating a fact.

Electroneum doesn't have a public working chain yet and is not yet tradable on Exchange which means that its current value is zero.  As soon as it is launched on an exchange, it will have tradable value.

I'm puzzled as to why Cryptopia are charging Electroneum $25k for a listing when they normally let good projects list for free.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: November 02, 2017, 10:01:06 AM
HODL man... Its gonna go higher...

Higher?  It hasn't even been put on an exchange yet.

Interesting to see that Cryptopia won't waive the listing fee for them either.

More people starting to mention that they are paid BTC to post about Electroneum...

The marketing machine is strong for this project.  Roll Eyes
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | NEW UPDATE! | Experimental Commodity | Trons | on: November 01, 2017, 06:21:16 AM
Do the masternodes serve any technical function?
Or are they just there to create incitement to promote the currency?

There is no money for nothing here. Both masternodes and Systemnodes (when released) perform technical functions.

186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: October 30, 2017, 10:14:04 AM
I always stay away from there overhyped projects, they tend to crash and burn after the ICO.
(hint - tezos)

Did you read the thread posted above your post? You may want to do that.

It points out that ETN had the most actual NUMBER of investors in history.

You reffered to Tezos which was CLEARLY a bunch of WHALES because it had a small number of investors, and raised $240 million.

Most expected that Tezos was only going DOWN first, but ETN is the opposite. It had 120,000 investors with only 40 million dollars because they cleverly placed the hardcap there.

ETN sold out 11 days early, when it was raising about 3-4 million a day. So there is about 50 million or more (because everyday the number of investors was increasing) of demand stacked up waiting for exchanges to open.

I'm very sceptical of these claims.  Electroneum are paying for Twitter retweets from botnets and also paying people to post positively on BCT.  How do we know that they aren't also gaming the investment statistics?

First of all, the Botnet FUD is NOT true.

2nd, are you refering to people getting bounties for having Electroneum in their sig?

That wouldnt fall under, "paying for posititive posts", as people can make any post they want, in any thread, they are only bounty coins because when they make ANY KIND OF POST, the sig is advertizing ETN links.

So, your entire post is incorrect.

And how about the over 20K Telegram users, is that a conspiracy, too???

Really?

How many more times are you going to come back here and try to mislead everyone

Isnt 12 TIMES, yes 12 POSTS EVERYONE, isnt that enough??

I have a right to post here with my scepticism about the long term veracity about this project and the methods that the Electroneum team are using to promote it. I have been careful to not call Electroneum a scam.

My motivations are not personal gain, I am legally unable to invest in ICOs anyway due to the recent SEC rulings amongst others in my home jurisdictions.

Also, I am perhaps a a crypto old timer who values innovation and development over marketing and sales.  Electroneum could well be a good investment if your only interest is making money.

Lets see if I am to be proven wrong. Lets make this interesting.  I'll donate $500 to a charity of your choice if the price of Electroneum is higher than the first week high after 4 weeks. I'll try to remember to check in back here, if I don't just PM me.

Any guess When Georgem wake up and do something for that coin and for a lot of people who believed in him?

To save you trawling for info, this was the last major update to the commnunity by Georgem, dated January 2016. There have been updates since, but mostly vague.

I expect that I need another 50 hours or so to finish everything and put all the loose ends together before we can start testing it.

This could mean best case, that I will be ready in 1 week, or worst case by the end of january.

I will keep you updated about the progress in much more detail from now on!

Stay tuned!

I *think*, but could be wrong without bothering to read back through the thread, that the last actual code release was in 2015.

In his own words, if you believed in him or the project you are a cockroach.

Investors have invested $40 million for them through ICOs. I don't think that electroneum is a scam. Let wait about 4 days to see the result.

I've got a 1 BTC bet with somebody what is going to happen in the 1st week from launch on exchange.  Going to be exciting to see who is right!
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: October 27, 2017, 04:27:42 PM
I cannot wait to get my babies mining some Helium Wink

Are you going to mine with D3s? If yes, isn't it more profitable to mine Dash, sell it and buy HLM?

Hi Buddy,

Not sure I'm currently using my D3's on prohashing > paying out in Vertcoin and doing much better than just Dash atm.

What makes you think i would be better on Dash than just straight up mining mate?

If the difficulty starts low wouldn't mining be better?

I don't really know, but would like to know the answer.... All I know is as we speak, before the public launch, the Helium team is building up the difficulty to make sure it is high enough for the start.... Si I have no idea.

Why does difficulty need to be adjusted up for launch if Helium has implemented DGW as planned? Doesn't make sense to me.

Thank you gjhiggins and stonehedge for your information.
Difficulties in terms of liquidity from 2015 to 2016 many coin also. No need for liquidity support now, as every coin will need time to prove its existence.
I know you are one of the most active people in SPR and HLM and others now.
SPR is like today part of your effort. Good you success on new projects.

You're welcome.

As gjhiggins correctly implies, the HLM team would have looked into whether it was sensible to simple fork SPR but I assume the amount of work to get SPR up to date with core updates was deemed uncessary when you could just fork from a later version of Dash which already contained the core updates.  Its a smart move.

Something that I find fascinating is how the respective groups of ex-spreaders get on with their new projects.  Whilst HLM and Crown have never positioned themselves as rivals, their plans sprang from their frustrations at SPR and both projects have very different approaches to similar problems.

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: October 24, 2017, 08:42:54 AM
guys anybody know roughly what a D3 would mine per day on this coin ?

We can't know yet, we don't know the starting difficulty or the number of miners that will go for it.

You should know. The OP mentions that there will be difficulty smoothing via DGW.  No matter how many miners there are, the same number of coins should be mined every day if it works.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: October 24, 2017, 08:40:16 AM
Just out of interest, does anybody know how many tokens are going to be issued for the $40m?  Also, how many coins will be mined per day?

195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: October 24, 2017, 08:35:49 AM
If the SPR was not good had not been listed so long on Bittrex, SPR listed on Bittrex before Coin101 joined the SPR. If the SPR security is not good then not listed on Bittrex or have been nock out in the past 3 years. Remember Bittrex has asked a very high security of coin, to be listed. SPR still exists now. HLM still is Big question?
19/12/2014 SPR gets ADD on Bittrex, 26/10/2017 SPR is round 3 years old.

SPR was nearly delisted at least a dozen times over the last couple of years due to low volume, when I was part of the SPR team, I used my own funds to prevent it from being delisted.

Something else worth considering is that Bittrex had much lower requirements for adding a coin in 2014.

First time to see a legendary forum member to post a trash post like this...
I can understand a noob account, but a legendary account.

In my experience, the longer you've been here, the more disconnected from reality you become. Cheesy

Fancy seeing you here  Smiley

Swoon!

I've been lucky enough to alpha test the new app.  It is fantastic.

Mattermost Outage

The Crown Mattermost is currently unavailable due to an infrastructure failure at the host ISP.

I'm waiting for any update from the ISP, if it doesn't look like they will recover the problem soon I will launch a backup from another location.  I'm in the UK and need to go to bed now, will provide an update here when I get up at about 0530 BST.

The Crown Mattermost Server should bring itself back up once the OVH problem is solved.  Hopefully it will have self healed by the time I wake up.

There sure are a load of suspiciously banal posts on this thread.

Why Spread discount ? Why? Why?

I see no "team spread", there is only one person left. If you really want to revive SPR, get a couple of coders together and talk to the current dev to hand to project over to you.

Of course it is possible for somebody to take over SPR but the reality is that the SPR code is so far out of date and in such need of core updates that it is beyond economical repair.

This is why most of the SPR team left to develop their ideas on Crown over a year ago and Coins101 decided to start from scratch with Helium.

If SPR was worth saving, believe me...the old SPR team would have done.
