1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blossom15 is a scammer on: March 07, 2026, 01:20:16 PM
I want to warn the community about this user.

I was scammed by this person for $2,500. He contacted me after learning that I needed someone to develop a website. He asked for a $2,500 deposit to start the work.

After I sent the money, he failed to complete the project. I requested a refund, and he said he would send the money later because his phone was not with him. However, after that he stopped responding and has ignored my messages.

Bitcointalk profile:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1244973

Telegram account: @an_nasr_20

I have also seen other people accusing him of scams. I am posting this warning so that other people will not lose money like I did.
How was he able to contact you directly, did you make a post here for such services?
Where are the proof of communication and proof of the payment you made to him. There should be some data you should provide for the community to believe you.

Again that account has an active red tag for trying to scam since 2019, you would've looked carefully before entrusting him with your funds. You've been here since 2017, so you should know users that are not to be trusted from their profiles.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sexual abuse on children. on: March 07, 2026, 12:56:38 PM
What is really the cause of this abuse on children?
I think there is no single reason behind child sexual abuse. If you notice, you will clearly understand that in most cases it comes from the abuse of power and the mentality of control, we would be wrong if we said only sexual desire. For example, a few days ago, the issue of child sexual abuse was quite discussed in the governments of 4 countries, including the incumbent Trump. Again, in some cases, paraphilic disorders may be involved, but I also think and believe that not all perpetrators are mentally ill. Many commit crimes consciously and know that it is wrong. The main thing is the lack of opportunity and accountability. The perpetrator feels safest when the victim cannot tell anyone due to fear and shame.
There is always a reason people orchestrate these crimes with respect to their environments and their desires. Some are for sexual desires, others are for ritual activities which I believe is the case with Trump and some powerful men exposed in the files. See how nothing was done about it and the world resumed it's activities and it is to show you that the crimes stems from top places, same reason it is not really given the attention it deserves since even those who should fight it are all accomplices.

May God protect our children
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Call for Global peace, say no to killing in the world. on: March 07, 2026, 12:33:16 PM
And the citizens are usually the ones that would suffer from such actions on both sides.
Though I saw online that the citizens were celebrating but who can really trust what's shared online.
Don't do yourself such disservice by trusting war reports, especially by any US news outlet since most information shared over those places are censored to portray US interests. The best way to get first hand info is if you've people inside Iran to tell you exactly the state of things or those covering it live in the cities of which Israel may likely kill those reporters if their reports aren't favorable to them just like they've been doing in Gaza.

Quote
I understand that they state justifications for all this
But this isn't really setting a good precedence.
I hope everything calms down but sadly this isn't Cinderella and her step mom.
I doubt there would be proper peace in the world with the quest for power on the rise among world powers who are fighting proxy wars among themselves, someone told me attacks on Iran is a proxy war against China which is their consistent oil clients, US is starting a global mindset that diplomacy and respect for international law is null and void and you would expect others to follow suit in a very short while.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways on how to be financially protected and secured. on: March 07, 2026, 12:11:53 PM
Make sure all,and i mean all access to any of your financial accounts including banking, credit card, investment and retirement is protected using 2 factor or multi factor authentication and pass keys are supposed to be state of the art.
Be sure not to have your 2FA enabled apps, emails or SIM card in the same device as your financial apps, that is a point of failure, if your device is compromised, it becomes easy for the scammer to retrieve such codes and go ahead with stealing your funds.

Quote
Stop answering calls from unknown callers, let them go to voice mail and i think that alone will allow you to screen out scams.
Some Unknown callers might actually not be scammers, hope you don't miss out on opportunities because of this point. Just take the call but refuse to do what was asked of you if you sense it is victimizing of any sort.
It is also very good not to pick calls from hidden numbers, I take it as an indication of a potential scammer.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is cold wallet better on: March 07, 2026, 11:49:05 AM
If you are going to use hot wallet and and airgap device, hot wallet should only be use to create a transaction and not sign with it like you said. The purpose of an airgap device is to keep your keys safe from internet and that's where you sign transaction through QR code or an SD card.
I believe it is also very important to make the SD card read-only, so that it doesn't in anyway affect your cold storage device just in case it is infected from your online device where you've your WOW.

BTW, I've not used the QR code to sign a transaction before, do you mind elaborating on that a little, it sounds pretty interesting. Thanks in advance.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I know what I am doing (New traders plague) on: March 07, 2026, 11:32:43 AM
~
Not only for newbie traders, even some who claim have traded for long still loose terribly, trading is not for the faint of heart, tried it before and quit. Trading isn't bad, but the learning curve you'll go through before becoming a profitable trader isn't any small deal, plus that you would have to be trained from someone who is actually making it from trading and not those who claims to.
Don't just start trading because you watched YouTube videos or saw scam telegram signals and got convinced, like you said, it's more relaxing and even profitable to just buy bitcoin and hold.

Everyone around me that I know, including those that said they know how to trade and myself did not make money from trading.
I have someone I know who is making money from trading, but he doesn't just trade by studying the charts, he spends most of his morning and late nights reading some financial documents and news from the countries he is to trade their currencies. This has made me believe that those who make money from trading do more than just reading charts.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where you are comfortable telling your gambling addiction on: March 06, 2026, 08:10:27 PM
How about you? Where are you comfortable telling your gambling addiction, and what are your reasons to trust them?
I would relate with my friend who have overcome his addiction struggles earlier and learn practical steps he employed to curtail his excessive gambling.
I would not go to a doctor since I do not believe gambling addiction has anything to do with a medical state, it is purely your emotional and psychological over attraction and over indulgence in the casino which can be curtailed with behavioral modification and systematic or total withdrawal from the casino.
I may do with a therapist if I have the time and finances. I can.t go to a priest since he may have no experience with gambling addiction and his advices are possibly baseless theories and head knowledge which may still prove ineffective.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dedicating life on game of probability on: March 05, 2026, 03:52:33 PM
Gambling is scary to me because of these life lessons from the hood, when something is based on probability it could destroy your life if you have nothing else going on in your life that's bringing in money.

You are 100 times more exposed to risk if all you can do with your life is gamble.
You should be scared if you plan to gamble like them. Since you know how bad their life has fallen, take it as a life lesson not to get attached and addicted to gambling. I have also witnessed someone fall from having enough financially to begging for a day meal because of gambling, those are where we grab lessons and learn from, it doesn't mean we are supposed to stop gambling, but not repeating similar addictive activity as the other person whose life was destroyed by gambling.
He should try to avoid them at all costs and not readily mingle with them because bad habits are contagious. It really sucks that someone would take gambling as a sole source of income. What happens to their productivity as an individual which they can exploit through a beautiful career life they can have? They've abandoned all their abilities for mere gambling expectations which isn't guaranteed to work out for them.

Anyone taking gambling very seriously as a source of income isn't only signing in for a troubled life, but is killing their creative and productive potentials as a human.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: March 05, 2026, 07:22:15 AM
Manchester City dominated the match, but it ended in a 2-2 draw, costing them two crucial points. Nottingham found the equalizer despite having only 6% possession. Gibbs White scored a beautiful goal; Donnarumma didn't expect that kind of shot.

City responded immediately, making it 2-1, but Anderson's long-range shot once again indicated the match was tied. 2-2
Manchester City dominance was met with goal misses that weren't just so cool, they were dominating but Nottingham Forest were being very precise with their few chances on goal. Forest got very few chances and they converted most of it, that's business football. They also did an excellent defensive work to prevent City from scoring much goals and at least shared the points with them.

Quote
Nottingham Forest cleared a shot off the line in the final seconds, preventing a goal. They secured a very important point.
Murphy was the hero of the night, that last minute shot was already in but he denied Manchester City their 3 points, Arsenal would feel some ease now but it isn't yet time to relax since the point difference isn't much and they still have some 8 matches to go.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: March 03, 2026, 05:14:08 PM

I'll tell you for free, Newcastle isn't an ordinary team, they may have lots of inconsistencies, but they're a team I never pray to meet at crucial moments. Barcelona may win quite alright but it wouldn't be very easy for them. Barcelona now isn't so strong in form, Newcastle can challenge them to a great extent and possibly win them.
i agree. Newcastle United definitely has surprise potential. their squad quality is actually quite solid. Anthony Gordon is turning into a real star, Harvey Barnes is proving to be very effective and Nick Woltemade has adapted remarkably fast. they can really knock Barcelona out of the competition.
Newcastle United's performance in the Champions league was impressive, and now they are entering into a challenging stage where things will not be on the level of group stage while their opponent is also Barcelona, which is having an impressive run of form this season.

Due to their performance in the Premier league, there is chaos in their squad, they are badly down and next season is not going to be ideal just because expecting something extraordinary which is not a real thing, even I am expecting they will do well in the first leg due to home advantage, but it's still going to be an end of their journey in this season. They need some strong strategy especially on their consistency.
Newcastle only has one league left to prove a point, and that's undoubtedly the champions League, they're 13th place on the premier League table, so they're not even going for champions League until 2 seasons from now(that is if they qualify next season). So they've got to prove all they can in this champions League clash. It's their home as well, so they've a lil more advantage therein.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Small Stakes Betting on: March 03, 2026, 04:37:56 PM
Every strategy is as valid as it works for the gambler. I've tried single bets, win and lost from it too but it wasn't fun for me so I started doing more of parlays, although I make sure my number of selections aren't much so as not to increase the risks of losing the bet. I think I enjoy it more now.
Discipline is very important in gambling, else it's very easy to mess up your finances and be at great loss. What helps a gambler to keep to a given strategy is discipline. Without it you'll easily be tempted to go above your budget and even start chasing loses as your emotions triggers you.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 03, 2026, 04:30:11 PM
We have to move forward in a disciplined manner with proper financial management, because if we get confused in these matters, our investment journey may face loss or failure, so we should keep our goals clear, maintain long-term continuity and move forward by adopting the right strategy. There is definitely risk and you should make sure that you are ready to take this risk before starting investment, because we must not take risks beyond our capacity.
This is why you're advised to invest from your comfort zone and that means to be as aggressive as you can be without overdoing it so that you're able to reduce the risks in your path by using neither money meant for your expenses nor your necessary backup funds like emergency funds to invest into Bitcoin. You'll have to access your financial position and be able to invest what is feasible for you, without being overly wimpy and invest into Bitcoin gradually and consistently while being under no financial pressure in order that your investment can be sustainable for longer.

It's possible that there's some variations in income levels during your investment duration, that you'll take into consideration and adjust your buying amounts accordingly when situations arise in order to navigate your buying Bitcoin without pressure during those income variation moments.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: March 03, 2026, 04:05:19 PM
Let them think about that since maybe they didn't experience yet a huge defeat on their investment made with those altcoins that's why they criticize you for now. But once they lose all their money with those alts then provably they would remember those people say that investment on altcoins is just a waste money and time for them. If they just invest it on bitcoin and accumulate for many years they could just earn a lot more compare to the losses they get.

Realization comes late and if they are hard headed and criticize you for giving such good word or advise then let them learn a lesson on hard way that he could remember his mistake for all things he do. They are just overwhelmed with the hype brought up with other people short gained result but for sure they would able to realize that altcoin investment is not really sustainable.

It isn't just learning the hard way, it would have been more better to learn from other people mistakes but perhaps it is always advisable for anyone who can not resist the urge of getting involved with other coins other than Bitcoin not to do more than 10 % size of your Bitcoin in to other coins, so as to give your Bitcoin investment all the necessary attention needed as regards to ensuring working towards achieving a successful Bitcoin investment which should be the motivation for every investor with a proper planning. Alot of people are just being skeptical about understanding the Bitcoin as the chief executive coin  of other coins hence procrastinates given Bitcoin the respect that they are ought to.
Brand new investor does not need to think about shitcoins but only bitcoin so that he does not distract himself from his bitcoin target, because bitcoin is only the coin that is worth investing in, since it has the potential to increase your wealth in future as long as you invest in a long term and accumulate a good size of bitcoin overtime.
Bitcoin isn't the only coin worth investing on, but the best of all present. It's important the newbie focuses on Bitcoin not to distract themselves with shitcoins and go on to build out a good sized portfolio in Bitcoin in order to attempt securing their financial future since Bitcoin already priced to be a good investment prospect and great benefits to investors who go long-term in it.

For me newbies shouldn't even get exposed to shitcoins from the start, but remain focused on their accumulation journey until they've have a sizeable portfolio, then if they still have the intention of holding few altcoins, they can consider it with very little amounts while they remain dedicated to their continuous accumulation journey. Getting exposed to shitcoins from the start of their accumulation journey might mess up their heads and may even see them focusing more on shitcoins at a time they should be more dedicated to their consistent accumulation of Bitcoin.

15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Thank God for the existence of cryptocurrency. on: March 03, 2026, 03:43:49 PM
cryptocurrency has really reduced poverty rate to some extent, let’s take for instance in Nigeria a Lot of youth earn through crypto currency, and we now do business with any country and our financial transactions goes smoothly and very fast because of cryptocurrency. I have a friend in Nigeria who is a designer and he has a client from South Korea and when he those any job for him he pays through Bitcoin and everything has been going smoothly.
The reason why signature campaign and other deals are happening here is because of cryptocurrency.
I always reinstate that people don't earn money from cryptocurrency, they do their normal job and earn in cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is only another payment alternative to Fiat although it has other advantages over Fiat like faster transaction time and lower cost which is still quite commendable. Even cryptocurrency traders earn through their trading skills since Fiat too are traded.

Your friend earns from his skills and not from cryptocurrency. He's a graphic designer and if he's not paid by cryptocurrency, he could still be paid by Fiat, so skill and competence enabled him to get paid through cryptocurrency. Bitcoin brought total freedom from government control for those who practice self-custody, the guys who still hold in CEXes are not yet maximizing it's potentials
16  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How to avoid beggers and scammers on Bybit p2p with automated payment traders on: March 03, 2026, 03:31:50 PM
Automated transactions are the new way to bypass beggars on p2p, and I'm sure of it.
Apart from the blue icon on their profile, if you want to know big traders that wont ask or beg on Bybit, check for traders that "institution" is written on the right-hand side of their adverts. Those traders are big traders, their transactions are also automated.
Yeah, but somehow I think only checking out these trades would keep the smaller ones out of business pretty and they're all out there for the hustle. One thing I look out for the more is your completion rates and how long you take to complete payment and if it suits me, I patronize you. Some small traders may also automate their pays or are very fast with payment, make we no just dey look for big traders alone, there are still some smaller trades that have integrity. When I see those with near 100% completion rates, I instinctively know they may be honest at least after the price countdown and their price doesn't reduce.
17  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why is Bitcoin the most successful cryptocurrency. on: March 03, 2026, 03:22:42 PM
Another factor that is contributing to the success of Bitcoin is the bitcoin halving event. This event reduces the quantity of bitcoin, thereby making Bitcoin more scarce and help in driving up the price of bitcoin.
Halving induced more scarcity of Bitcoin as it ensures demand outweighs supply which further makes it valuable as scarcity makes a valuable commodity to further increase in value.

There are more features that adds to Bitcoin success and they include:
The divisibility of Bitcoin
The decentralization of Bitcoin protocol.
The Pseudonymous nature of Bitcoin
The censorship resistance in Bitcoin
Bitcoin as real money and not just a digital coin.
Button as a hedge against inflation and Fiat depreciation.
18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Structuring your Bitcoin Dip Accumulation on: March 02, 2026, 05:12:01 PM
What is the essence of only buying Bitcoin only in the bull run when the price is favourable and that is not the time to invest and accumulate Bitcoin because, the best time of accusations when it comes to Bitcoin is during the as you buy in a lesser price and wait for the price of Bitcoin to grow and sell if the investor wants to sell. Investors must be strategic in their thinking because when it comes to a investment that, saves cost the investors should see Dips like this as an opportunity to grow their wealth.
DCA still remains the best way to acquire bitcoin if you're not having much discretionary income present. You should understand that buying accross cycles should not stop you from buying the dip or preparing for the dip since you can save money separately for the dip which you can still use to strategically purchase during the dip by increasing your DCA  amount with already stacked up funds which would see you buy more quantities at lesser price as long as your stacked funds lasts and after it you return to buying regularly with your normal buy amounts.
it is all about strategy, you can buy consistently as well as prepare very well and take advantage of the dip opportunities.
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How to avoid beggers and scammers on Bybit p2p with automated payment traders on: March 02, 2026, 04:59:22 PM
I left Bybit a long time ago because f the level of scam there. I retraced to Bitget but it seems scammers from Bybit are already infiltrating Bitget and showing similar patterns in their activities. I think I've observed this automated bot of a thing before but didn't know the merchant was able to pay so fast, I observed it on Bitget, maybe I would watch to see if there is a badge difference as well. No matter the good rating and fast payment I experience, I always make sure never to trust any merchant, but verify my money is in my account before releasing the coins.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: does anyone believe him? on: March 02, 2026, 04:33:50 PM
Even if they are building a nuclear weapon it should not be a concern for US or Israel and many reports says that they are nowhere near building a nuclear weapon but US kept blaming them for having one so it's obvious that their next search of oil resource is from Iran so they will blame or spread any lie to make the world think that US is saving the world rather than destorying the lives.
Anyone who knows a bit about western conspiracies and propaganda would not believe even a thing that Trump nor any US media outlet says. They portray Iran as the beast and the bad guys, while it is them that has been destroying Iran economy from the onset. I still have my reservations on everything the US have made people believe about strong leaders who they conquered, most times when I read their profiles, I have more reasons to believe the US have been deceiving the world to preserve their own interests.

This time they are weakening China and Russia as much as they can since they obviously cannot go into a direct war with them and so are weakening all their allies especially China as Iran happens to be a major supply of oil after Venezuela was cut off.
