2443  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Get 150% return in 1 day on: January 26, 2015, 10:43:27 AM
Get 150% return in 24 hour
Min investment - 0.1$
Max investment - 500$
Pay in bitcoin 1GNcgbcY1GgHCQrh9Z2vbbbF4ErqivERQQ
Loan also available from 1$ - 100$

Ok, let's do this like that: Give me loan $100 - invest in your "business" and after 24h give me $50 - keep $100 to pay back loan. Deal?

Ha  Cheesy. Gr8 idea, let's see what his genius response is.
2444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyway to put price ticker in signature? on: January 26, 2015, 10:40:31 AM
Just to show off to others, I like it. Besides, you don't have to buy a server for this, there many free alternatives which you could use.
Might program it myself Smiley

Shoot me a PM if you're actually able to achieve this, I don't think it'd be that easy but would love to see a working ticker in sig.
2445  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Questions on Private Key Generation on: January 26, 2015, 10:34:08 AM
The beginning encodes some metadata, like a version id; so you shouldn't expect the first two characters to be very random. But if the software you're using generates keys beginning with 5 instead of L or K it is outdated and producing keys which will result in significantly more data-size in your transactions.

I would recommend avoiding any browser based key generators. Many of them have dangerous implementations which provide little to no cryptographic security at all, most of them have never been reviewed by a third party.

So using bitaddress.org is not safe anymore? what do you recommend then to make paper wallets off-line?

Just saw this thread   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=935539.0
site is http://lazersms.com/

Don't know if it is legit or not, do your research before doing business.

Head over to just-dice.com, read the faq on how to claim clams and you'll also able to check whether your address has clams or not.

2449  Economy / Services / Re: Earn $3 BTC for posting on a forum | SocialMediaHub on: January 25, 2015, 07:33:23 PM
I am not too worried about the low price, it might help few newbies earn better than what they earn from faucets but until you put some money into an escrow here it would be difficult for members to trust another newbie.
2450  Other / Meta / Re: And we are Back!! on: January 25, 2015, 07:21:15 PM
Yea  Grin i hope we stay up...

Me too, I had some problems accessing the site this morning and yesterday too and it was announced by theymos that it might happen but whenever this site is off-line I find myself completely lost.
2451  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io - signature design contest (0.25 BTC Prize) on: January 25, 2015, 07:10:58 PM
Reserved as well. I'll post if I am able to provide anything unique, or else I won't be posting anything.

And I don't think there is a need for an escrow here, I mean what exactly will be gained by having a sig design contest and not paying the winner? It just don't make no sense.
2452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help me about bitcoin on: January 25, 2015, 07:04:00 PM
I just saw a fabulous thread about making and running faucet here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934536

Take a look there and I hope it answers all your questions, if not just ask the OP of that thread.
2453  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth using faucets to pay for transaction fees? on: January 25, 2015, 07:01:49 PM
But how would you be able to pay fees from other address than the address you are sending the money from, that isn't possible right?

Of-course you can. You can have input from any and all the addresses within a wallet. If you don't define 'from' while sending the tx, the wallet will pick up the amount needed from all the addresses in a wallet.
2454  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: So, you want to run a faucet? on: January 25, 2015, 06:34:52 PM
Not planning on making any site but this was really a good read. Very informative and the first part about domain and hosting would be useful for anyone planning to get into making a site. Thx
2455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mixer on: January 25, 2015, 03:45:09 AM
you can try bitmixer or dark wallets.

I think they are the only trusted options.

Dark wallets? what and how are they used? I use to think dark wallet is the wallet for darkcoin.
2456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoins is......... on: January 24, 2015, 07:44:40 AM
If you don't want to work for it, either exchange some goods for it or currency equivalent to $30. There's no magic way of getting money.
2457  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I reduce the cost of my blockchain.info on: January 24, 2015, 07:41:43 AM
Thanks from all respondents, based on what I realized there is not way but to pay a fee in order to have a healthy transaction. So I may continue using them and pay them.

You're not paying them, blockchain.info is not taking any money from you, what you pay is called Miner's fee and the miners collect them for running all them machines that require a lot of energy and they cost too much money.

Not sure but the oldest ones seem to be just-dice and primedice.
2459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF FAKE WALLETS! Look carefully where you download from! on: January 24, 2015, 07:03:49 AM
And thats precisely why I dont immediately download every new altcoin wallet that is compiled beforehand, I only ever compile from source and thats after briefing going through the code too

But all users are not apt to do this so maybe it's best if you must download use a virtual machine and keep anything related to bitcoin or important data elsewhere.
2460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will Stellar Coin be distributed to Bitcoin members? on: January 24, 2015, 06:56:28 AM
When will Stellar Coin be distributed to Bitcoin members? And in what way will such distribution occur?  Will it be similar to Ripple distribution?

Was there such announcement from stellar devs that they will be distributing it here? I didn't saw that and I don't think there will be anymore free distributions of stellars anywhere.

from
https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Bitcoin_program

Bitcoin program
20% of the initial stellars are set aside to be distributed to holders of bitcoin and XRP (19% for bitcoin holders and 1% for XRP holders). We will take a snapshot of the bitcoin blockchain at a particular date and will set up a claim page that will allow bitcoin holders to receive their pro-rata share of the stellars reserved under this program by verifying they control their address from that blockchain snapshot. For example, a user owning .001% of the bitcoins in the blockchain snapshot would receive .001% of the stellars set aside for bitcoin holders under this program, or 190,000 stellars. For bitcoin holders, distribution will begin within 6 months after Stellar is open to the public. The Foundation will maintain this claim site for at least 3 months. For XRP, we will take a snapshot of ripple ledger 6,762,000 (a ledger occuring May 22nd, 2014). Any ripple account holder with less than 7.5 million XRP (~$50,000 USD at that time) in his or her account at that ledger will qualify for the giveaway. Every qualified XRP holder has two options to participate:
Pro-rata: Similar to the bitcoin holders, eligible XRP holders may receive their pro-rata share of stellars allocated to this giveaway (1%) and be credited for up to 1.5 million XRP.
Donation: Eligible XRP holders may also donate up to 1.5M XRP to a selection of charities and receive an equal amount of stellars in return.
For example: Sam had 1 million XRP as of ledger 6,762,000. He could choose to donate his XRP to a charity listed in the program and get 1 million stellars from the bitcoin program. Or he could choose to claim his pro-rata share of stellars allocated to this giveaway. Sam has .001% of the XRP so he would get .001% of the 1 billion stellars allocated to the XRP holders or 10,000 stellars. The XRP claim page will be up at within 6 months after Stellar is open to the public and will remain up for at least 3 months. Members and board members of the nonprofit will not participate in the bitcoin program for any bitcoins or XRP they hold during the claim period. If there are unclaimed stellars in the bitcoin program after this period, they will go to the nonprofit’s operational fund.

https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Stellar_distribution

I see, so it would be a distribution like clams.
