I'm going to be buying some more hashing over the next week. Somehow there is no more point to mine yourself, since these commercial farms can do it on a much more economical scale.
Still, I have about 100 GH/s worth of hashing gear coming in the next month or so... my wife is going to be so angry.

The other innovative thing is that the space, power, maintenance gets taken directly from the reward.
With cloudhashing, you have to pay 20% UK VAT if you live in the UK...

Easier for him to claim that it got hacked than paying out.

Down again.
maybe the algorithm just isn't very stable.

Considering that the transactions seem to have been processed, it might be all right...
hopefully he can get the stuff fixed.

Could you increase the 5% cap to compensate us for the loss, or does this mean that you get to keep the 'lost' coins.

I don't quite understand why NV profitability is 2.86 though, does anyone know?

Maybe one day, some currency will replace the US dollar as a reserve currency, it could even be based on crypto technology.
How cool would that be. Suddenly the entity controlling the money wouldn't be the only one printing the money.
There are too many US dollars anyway...

It doesn't mean a thing. That statement was in relation to Liberty Dollar, who clearly tried to make a currency that resembles the US dollar.
The last time I looked, the solidcoin logo was still purple.

I'm surprised that sc2 is still alive after all this drama. Didn't you say that you're going to kill it off or something?
This hybrid approach isn't too bad, except for bitcoin.

A Chinese version of dropbox? haha.

With the amount of money you earn at Apple, you probably wouldn't have to hack ixcoin to buy an iPad 2.
With regards to SC2, I know that you don't really feel so optimistic about the people behind the project. I believe that the crypto-currency landscape isn't a zero-sum game, where one currency has to lose while the other gains.
At the moment, bitcoin still fails to bridge the gap between technical and non technical people. I've been experimenting with this for 2 months now, and apart from turning btc into cash, I haven't really bought anything with them.

On a separate note: BCX, why do you have to buy apple stuff..
|
|
|
Well, getting to a million SC coins would give you the privilege of mining at a super low difficulty. Over time, more people will become part of that club.
The 32 coins alternating between members every alternate block just pay for the interest of having the coins parked in Solidcoin instead of any other crypto currency.

BCX is like a child with too much candy who doesn't want to share.

The bitcoin economy is peanuts compared to the money that's being thrown around by banks. Everything seems to be credit credit credit anwyay.
You can't really have a negative bitcoin balance in your wallet.
You can't even be sure where your Gold is, if it's not physical Gold in your house.
