41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paypal make bitcoin mainstream? The website makes me think so... on: March 08, 2021, 08:04:08 PM
PayPal confirmed in a press release today that it will acquire the Israeli cryptocurrency custody service Curv in the first half of 2021.

PayPal is committed to advancing cryptocurrencies according to
Jose Fernandez da Ponte of PayPal, who heads the newly formed cryptocurrency and blockchain unit of the payment giant, also praised the talent involved in the startup.

Here is what he said: "Acquiring Curv is part of our effort to invest in talent and technology to realize our vision for a more inclusive financial system. During our conversations with the Curv team, we were impressed by their technical talent, entrepreneurial spirit and thinking behind the technology they have built over the last few years. We are pleased to welcome the Curv team to PayPal. "
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: March 08, 2021, 07:58:21 PM
Bitcoin price has grown massively in the last few weeks, while Altcoins have gained little or even lost in relation to Bitcoin. In the past, after a strong Bitcoin rally, sooner or later an Altcoin rally set in. Do you expect an Altcoin rally this time too? If so, when and if no, why not?

There are many opinions that the altcoin season has already started, but it is still in its infancy.

The head of the fintech company Exantech Denis Voskvitsov shared that a possible delay could be the actions of the SEC against some altcoins. Here's what he said: "Altcoins can also be hampered by regulators. We recently saw the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) lawsuit against Ripple's leadership bring down XRP."

Another interesting opinion of analysts is that: "in terms of cyclicality, the growth of Altcoins is likely to continue from the second quarter of this year, given the fact that Bitcoin is at its all-time high, and Altcoins are still far from their price records, we can expect significant growth for the Altcoins. "
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best investment advice for everyone this 2021 on: March 08, 2021, 06:42:43 PM
Do your own research

I dont think its smart to get crypto investment advice from forums most of us here dont know what we are saying and most of the advice you will get are going to be coming from other noobs just like you.

The Best advice i have is do your own research, if you dont understand it, dont invest in it, its better to miss out than to loose your money.

Remember investments are risky, so why trust other people's opinions to making investments that they aren't making with their own money?

Be smart

Overall, I completely agree with you and doing your own research is the most important part of the preparation!!!

However, this research also includes the collection of opinions from people who are in this field before you, or more precisely the people in this forum (as you said, we need to judge who are newbie and who are more experienced in the crypto world). I think this forum is one of the biggest places where you can get an opinion on this topic, so the questions are not such a "stupid" idea.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the driving force of a blockchain? on: March 06, 2021, 11:14:21 AM
What do you think? (this question is a little bit philosophical maybe)

The main driving force, in my opinion, is based on the three main characteristics of the blockchain, which are:
- decentralization,
- transparency,
- immutability.

Blockchain technology changes the game because it combines three main technologies:
- Cryptography with confidential keys
- Shared book distribution network
- Maintain transactions, store records and network security

These three combine to turn the blockchain into a decentralized, unchanging and transparent Blockchain system.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: March 06, 2021, 10:52:03 AM

They are of the point of view that since internet cannot replace the newspapers, the same is true with the banks. Being a crypto lover, i would love to see banks eliminated but does these big people with so much money will let that happen  Huh

In my opinion, there is no way for any cryptocurrency, even Bitcoin, to replace the banking system. There are too many factors in this direction that prevent this.

Still, we see increased interest from big banks in Bitcoin, and many of them have already acquired a lot of coins in their assets.

That's why I think it's more likely that something in the middle will happen. Banks should start developing their blockchain-based systems and improve current banking systems.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan presents to private clients that Bitcoin can reach $540,000 if compared on: March 06, 2021, 10:42:00 AM
The interest from financial institutions is really getting bigger and more focused this year - compared to the huge interest from retail investors in just about the last ten years.

Analysts say Bitcoin is likely to be used in international trade if central banks start issuing their own cryptocurrencies or stable coins.

In this case, the global acceptance of Bitcoin and the potential for fast cross-border payments for trade can increase significantly.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: March 05, 2021, 06:54:03 PM
Currently, USDT daily trading volume is over the Bitcoin trading volume and fourth highest market cap according to Coinmarketcap. My opinion is We can't trust the centralized stable coin to keep the money. Also, news around the USDT is not good, and it may be shut down by the authorities.

What is your opinion about the USDT coin?

I use the DAI to keep the stable value & will shift to the SAI in the near future where the money I'm not investing.

According to Tether's website, the stable USDT coin is 100% backed by a reserve of US dollars and other assets, including "traditional currency and cash equivalents and, from time to time ... other assets and receivables."

If so, I don't think there should be any problems with the stability of the coin and we should have any concerns about it.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if a stable coin fails. on: March 05, 2021, 06:51:43 PM
Hi,

Just a novice question here: what happens if you hold x amount of a stable coin in one of the many lending crypto platforms available (crypto.com, youhodler, nexo, etc) and that coin fails and goes Kaput? Do you loose it all? or are your assets moved to another token or FIAT?

Stable coins do not guarantee your investment, they are simply used to maintain value while you invest in something else or do not withdraw your money in fiat currency.

If the value of the stable coin drops - this will reduce the value of the coins you own, and if it reaches 0$, you are also will stay with 0$.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where is the best place to buy a doge? on: March 05, 2021, 06:40:54 PM
Where is the best place to buy a doge?  Huh

You can check out the markets and the different pairs available for Dodgecoin at
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/

I personally have no observations that there is any difference between the major exchanges, so it may not matter which one you choose. Just check the conditions against your country and currency and where it will be more convenient for you to trade.

50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How way you choose way to saving Bitcoin ? on: March 04, 2021, 06:47:25 PM
Hello Everyone,

I just curious, How way you choose to saving Bitcoin ?

Example case, You have 0.01 BTC on your wallet now, will you saving on 1 address or you will splits the Bitcoin be 10 address 0.001 Bitcoin each.

In principle, I am not in favor of dividing the coins into 10 addresses, but in general it also depends on the value of the coins you own. If we are talking about the example you gave of 0.01 BTC, it is really better they to be in one place because the fees you will have to pay for transfers will simply be an awful lot. But if you have 100 BTC, for example, then it might be worth the cost of fees.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After Tesla, others began to pay attention to Bitcoin. Is this the future trend on: March 04, 2021, 06:37:47 PM
BlackRock executives: We have begun to get involved in Bitcoin

Global asset management giant BlackRock fixed income chief investment officer Rick Rieder revealed in the SquawkBox financial plan that the company has begun to get involved in Bitcoin.

Now, the big bosses have begun to take action.

There is no way that the great attention of world financial giants and world leading companies to Bitcoin can go unnoticed. We have witnessed news about Goldman Sachs, Chicago Board Options Exchange, JP Morgan, Tesla, Citibank, MicroStrategy and many more related to the fact that they are beginning to trust Bitcoin and the crypto world.
This can really be the beginning of a better future for the crypto world.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed as Money? on: March 04, 2021, 06:20:47 PM
As a long-time Bitcoin hodler, I welcome the current development of Bitcoin and find the increasing acceptance great. But the question arises as to whether Bitcoin can still be considered as money for everyday transactions or whether the idea is outdated and Bitcoin is more of a store of value option like gold than a means of payment.

Why? I try to pay with Bitcoin wherever possible. Fortunately, more and more merchants and services are accepting Bitcoin. Whether directly or through third-party providers. Here are my experiences over the past few weeks.

I wanted to take out a subscription to my favorite streamer. $4.99 payable with Bitcoin. Timely Confirmation Fees, $ 6.71. 134% of the purchase price. Even with an annual subscription, the fees would still be around 20-23%.

Paying my web hosting costs of around $30, Bitcon fees also around $5, which would be 16-17% fees.

The fees may be acceptable for buying a Tesla for $ 40-50k, but certainly not for daily payments.

Hello, in general, I do not think that anyone would hope that Bitcoin will become a payment currency, replacing USD for example for everyday household transactions and payments.
At first I don't think it can happen, because the best side of Bitcoin is being a long-term asset.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Or Invest ? on: March 02, 2021, 09:27:19 PM
When the altcoin price was experiencing a positive change I was confused ... whether to invest or trade directly ..
your advice is advice to me .. thank you

I think it is very difficult to find the right coin to invest in the big sea of the crypto market. One that will bring you big profits in a relatively acceptable time.

While if you are looking for a profit it is better to trade daily, but there the risk is much higher for your finances if you do not know exactly what you are doing. Many people think that trading is easy, but on the contrary - this is not the case and many people lose a large part / all of their capital.

Whatever you choose - be careful and prepared!
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk Again & Again Tweet for Doge? on: March 02, 2021, 09:13:44 PM
Yeah, we know from past. Elon musk name is co relate with Dogecoin why not? but, I want to know why Elon musk again n again tweet for Dogecoin any reason ?

Tweet Links are here: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1357236825589432322

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1357241340313141249

Contrary to many people's beliefs, Elon Musk, the richest man on the planet, doesn't spend all day thinking about Dogecoin.

In a recent tweet, he turned to growing criticism of his frequent crypto tweets, saying his Twitter behavior "definitely" did not represent the actual distribution of his wallet.

So maybe he just loves to "play" with the market through his influence on social media.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: ARE WE STILL BULLISH OR BEARISH ? on: March 02, 2021, 09:01:28 PM
we have seen some little dips in the past few days and its a big concern which many have said we should brace up for dips. currently the price is bouncing off the 44k region which can mean we might go up a little. looking at the chart i see 42-42k region as a strong support but if we close below this region then we might be in for a long to the 30k region. such is how market behaves so anyone who is happy about moon should also be expecting the dip. please give your views about the current market situations in terms of being bullish or bearish.

After each bullish market follows a bear market, and vice versa, when this correction is over it will be time to rise and new record prices for Bitcoin. And when we have a bear market, it is good to invest (if we can afford it).

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'd appreciate some help with my portfolio on: March 01, 2021, 08:27:24 PM
Hello.
Right now my portfolio includes:
ZIL - 34%
COTI - 32%
REEF - 21%
ADA - 13%

How would you rate it based in your experience? I did alot of reading before buying this coins but except cardano the rest underperform. Im a new investor and i bought all of my coins a week ago when everything was on peak..
Would you suggest some changes or something else to look for?
Should i sell any of these?
Thanks in advance!!

Honestly, I don't think I can give a very correct opinion about your  portfolio, because I'm not familiar with some of the coins you've chosen, but I'm sure of one thing and I highly recommend it: don't sell before you make a profit.

You built your portfolio during a bullish market, and now the market is undergoing adjustments and prices are falling, but this is a temporary and normal phenomenon, so my advice is to wait until a new price increase starts and then sell your coins and invest in new ones if you want.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Currently i am quit from market and come in 2024 on: March 01, 2021, 07:58:31 PM
Currently i am quit and just taken my profit and exit. already exit and i am writing. i am hoping to come after 3 years. with 10000USD investment for a potential coin at that time..

now bull market gone, what ever bullish now is temporary and bear is inevitable. so whats your plans ?

Personally, I would prefer to keep all the coins I have so far and wait for even better times for the crypto world. In my opinion, this is just the beginning of the acceptance of crypto and the future will be even brighter.

As for the current bear market, this is a good opportunity for new additional investment as prices fall.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone over here accepting Crypto as payment ?... on: February 28, 2021, 01:17:58 PM
I don't think accepting Bitcoin to pay for services and goods is a very good idea, especially when it comes to small amounts of money. There is simply no point in paying fees, which can sometimes be higher than the amount transferred.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN RIPPLE SURVIVE? on: February 28, 2021, 01:11:20 PM
Clouds over Ripple are getting thicker and darker. Personally, I'm not sure what will happen and I can't guess whether the coin will survive or not, but things don't look very bright right now. I think a lot of Ripple's supporters might lose confidence in her, which won't be good.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't be used for transactions? on: February 28, 2021, 12:33:52 PM
From what I've read, Bitcoin now charges high transaction fee and long transaction wait time so it can't presently be used:

a) for a conversion from Bitcoin to cash?
or b) purchases using Bitcoin? Huh

Definitely Bitcoin is still not the best coin to make small payments or transfer funds to someone. In my opinion, the best application at this stage for Bitcoin is to use it as a purely investment asset. Let's leave aside the fact that very few people accept Bitcoin as a means of payment.
