Buy locally or with other users rather than ebay. Ebay is reallly sketchy when it comes to these "Currency" Transactions

Hey 420 are you going to start a MMJ & Bitcoin club lol....
interesting thought i dont think MMJ users would likely be capable of understanding a cryptocurrency, hashing, & programming...
Perhaps you'd be surprised. Wink

35  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing Bitbills! on: July 30, 2011, 04:51:37 AM
I personally think this is a really good idea people are always worried about keeping their BTC secure now with this you can have a tangible copy that will keep it secure for a while. Now you can lock it in a safe I mean come on what ordinary person is going to want to steal your bitbill Roll Eyes

37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electricity costs money. on: July 29, 2011, 07:08:18 AM
My power meter is digital, I don't think a magnet would stop the digits from accumulating. Even modern analog meters are tamper-proof and would require a huge magnetic field. Plus, I've heard they measure the power use of your section at the power plant, too, so any big discrepancy would surely ring some alarm bells.

Have you actually tried using a magnet? I heard that it worked some 50 years ago, but no chance today. However, I would be surprised if the meter spun faster to "make up" for the unmetered electricity. It's not like the disc has a memory how long it has been held back.
I guess you're right I just never really looked into it and I think I read that tip in Abbie Hoffman's book Steal this book nobody really answered my question until now
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Does Solo Mining Make Sense? on: July 29, 2011, 12:04:40 AM
Well for me I think Solo mining would make sense.Think about it at the time of this writing 1 BTC goes around 13.40 give or take.If you wait long enough to break a block(depending on what hardware you have) you'll eventually get 50 BTC which when multiplied to the current rate would be 670 USD. Now if you factor in how much 1 BTC will be valued by the time you break a block you'll get alot more than that because as we know bitcoin prices can get pretty high. But you also have to factor in alot of other variables such as the cost of the rig(Unless you happen to have one already) Electricity(Unless you don't pay it) and time(unless you don't have shit to do.

Just a thought but what if you mined bitcoins and put a really strong magnet to slow down your power meter. If you removed the magnet would the power meter speed up to make up the electricity it didn't mark?
40  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Immersion cooling on: July 28, 2011, 11:15:57 PM
does it actually boil the oil? man that would not be safe if you have kids or pets around!

Of course not, that's why I said it's fake. You need temps of 370 degrees F to properly brown fries... good luck getting any electronics to function at that point. Cheesy
Oh for a minute there you had me haha
