1  Economy / Economics / Re: Got a discount for paying with Bitcoin. Are merchants waking up? on: Today at 07:18:33 AM
In all conventions or shops that sell products&services related to bitcoin, they offer discounts if you pay directly with bitcoin (and in most of cases its not just for marketing purpose Smiley )
The reason is simple.
There is a net advantage for some merchants in economic or all others involved aspects. The real problem arise with burocracy that creates burdens if you try to use those systems.

This is also part of the game since early times. Italians first meetups have hosted many applications or merchants ready to use/develop application for btc.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin be the cause of the war on: Today at 06:47:04 AM
A 1 (one) T (trillion) marketcap coin can't change anything and cannot be the cause of anything of this scale.
This time, btc as a medium has been CLEARLY part of the discussion.
The request "to pay Hormuz Strait navigation with bitcoin" could also be seen a way to get a peace/agreement between two different cultures.
Stop using DOLLARS or FIAT for trades - now we can use the same currency.
For sure there was a kind of impairment in the last half century... once you can click on laptop and issue tons of debts...
This could be a point:  if bitcoin will be bitcoin also in the future it's clear that first you adopt first you win.
I would see bitcoin as the "cause of the peace".

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: Today at 04:58:50 AM
Zverev today seems the favorite (at least according bookmakers) with a juicy odd of @1.25!
I would surprised if he can't win. Just because this is a rare chance for him... without the top 2 players in ATP there are really few chances for a title.

Considering the type of tournament, Cobolli @4.00 sounds interesting in case he can win one of the first 2 sets.

I cannot also understand the logic to provide a repayment ... in a couple of days of 10% interest? and with such trivial amount too?
No.
This is not the best way to get a small amount of btc if you really need it. Provide collateral... and it will be possible.
No. Other data like your identity have zero value as collateral for a loan in bitcointalk forum.

If you can offer something to cover this amount it would be ok to provide (even without interest - only cover tx fees).

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PARTNER WANTED] Seeking $200 USD Liquidity Investor for Meme Project on Polygon on: June 05, 2026, 06:04:49 AM
its cute when newbies with 1-2 messages talk between them. more cute if you think this is a totally unknow coin Smiley

Memecoins can't be created on paper. Have 0 value once you launch. You can copy you can modify you can... edit as much as you want.
You cannot speculate on it, investement on it are oxymoron.

Anyone that can barely afford this lump sum in one batch Wink I would never try to buy now (the market has priced 0) but maybe after a while...
memecoins are made to go to 0 !
18  Economy / Reputation / Re: Winna.com PISSED High VIP ~1M Wager, Same monthly as someone w. 65k Wager on: June 04, 2026, 09:57:47 PM
there is no any obligation to provide bonus for "wagering" and with most of casino has been always like this.
how we should see a casino doesn't pay the "right" amount for wagering bonus? Of course no one will care...
Here you can just choose to walk out and change the casino/platform. If you cannot deal a better agreement (like with VIP) just migrate your status.
There are "rules" that they use for giving these bonus and most of times (excluding trivial amount) they are giving to player that lose money.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The weird situation of people in debt that still gamble on: June 04, 2026, 09:24:03 PM
this is pretty normal and a clear way to continue to lose money. as mentioned it's pretty hard to save a small amount of money...
likewise... you will just not get out of your debt+you will never get bankrupt.
I find most of the time even pretty useless to talk about. Playing games like this is just another way to "take dopamine".
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If there were to be strategies in gambling do you think it would reveal to you? on: June 04, 2026, 08:48:39 PM
any gambling or sport betting strategy needs to be adapted to specific scenario or even to a specific outcome.
In the past some strategies have been also shared in public (just think about betting competition). This not means all people was winning (even if they can steal the idea...)
But its like trading. Would you trade "obligations" or "some fast option" Wink ? If you have a slow and boring strategy what would you do? Roll Eyes
