I think we will eventually find out, but im sure it will be many many years. I believe Gavin was the person to speak to him. Satoshi basically handed the reigns over to him saying that he had other things to work on, or something to that effect...
I can almost guarantee you that he/they lurk(s) here, just not under his name...
The last time he posted was when that other satoshi nakamoto from California was accussed of being the Satoshi, the real satoshi logged into one of his accounts and said just a couple of words, like "thats not me" or something short...

If the toll of recession were to take its toll on the economy of the major economic giants like USA,Canada etc .I believe the end result will definitely be positive on the price of Bitcoin thereby a sky rocketed price rise.

Most likely, this is Satoshi. We have turned our backs on His ideals and now He is punishing us. If we do not correct and turn to the way of Our Lord, He will shake hands so harshly, only the purist of Idealoshis will stay in.
I strongly believe so too.Otherwise what other explanation can be given to the unexpected turn around in the price of BTC if not a ''taste of the rout of Satoshi''. |

Bitcoin's present status is young compared to Gold which as over the years sojourned far and wide.However,the issue of bitcoin substituting Gold in the future is not possible even though Bitcoin is new,growing in popularity and all its unstable nature in the market is a major flaw which its yet to surpass a stage in which Gold as conquered a long time ago.

This is a nice idea into spreading the awareness of Bitcoin but a major flaw i perceive will certainly remain in the area of funds to perform it. Best of luck anyway.

A 51% attack on BTC looks harmless after recovery but its degrading for the value of Bitcoin. if we don't it to end up a dead coin its best no done during mining.
