I am the nWoCoin project manager. The Bitmark dev was kind enough to get the source set to rights and back on github and everything set back up for me. Everything is working properly again and the code was reviewed again and pronounced clean. https://github.com/nWoCrypto/nwocoinI did not take the money and run. I am not abandoning the project. Now that everything is back to stable and set I will be bringing in another dev to maintain the code and implement features. I will be moving forward with the project and fully supporting it. I want to see nWoCoin be a success and will do everything I can to make it so. It's been a long day I am going to sleep now. Will be further updates sometime tomorrow night. PS Wallet and source links updated. |

I have agreed to complete the following work for nwocrypto:
1. code review (already 95% done - nothing hidden)
2. upload to github
3. update checkpoints
4. linux release
5. windows + linux wallets hosted on github
6. block explorer (abe or insight) hosted on nwocrypto's server.
This defines exactly what I've agreed to do, I cannot agree or commit to supporting the project long term, as that would conflict with my work on Bitmark. This is to all extents a one off freelance project.
I will update here once complete.

We are currently seeking a developer to join the team and fix the source.

What happened to NWO? The team consisted of two people, project manager and developer. An agreement was reached on how the project would go down, and how payment would happen after ICO was complete, as well as what features would be delivered going forward. As you all know, the ICO sold out in under 24 hours. The project lead and developer then discussed compensation as C-Cex verified the wallet and blockchain. They could not reach agreement. Things escalated. Harsh words were exchanged. The dev deleted the github and left the project. The dev was never paid. The project lead then placed buy support on the NWO market, maintaining the price, while he tried to resolve things with the dev. No resoution was reached. The project lead then came to me looking to find a dev to step in and fix things. A search was begun to find some one with the ability, and time, to step in and fix the source, set a checkpoint to invalidate the premine, and fork the coin.
With no github source, the block explorer stopped working. It was noticed that the github source was gone, the wallet links were gone, and that the block explorer no longer worked. This was then pointed out in the trollbox. The dev then dumped the 200k premine. A lot more harsh words were then exchanged in ccex trollbox. Two threads were posted on the BCT forums about what happened. One by the original dev, one by some one else. C-cex is not to blame in all of this. What happened here was not the result of a failed identity check or failed vetting of the code. No amount of additional ones would have prevented this from happening. This is on the NWO team, and no one else. Where is NWO now? Currently in talks with several developers to step in. After that, will come the other features, down the road.

The lead dev took off with the money, and the 200k premine, and deleted the github. The remaining dev is open to continuing the coin if a reliable dev wanted to step in. PM if interested. Thank you. Do not blame C-Cex, this is not on them. It's on the lead dev. I am the promoter and marketer.

In my experience most of the really talented developers are actually very quiet and reclusive people. Sounds like what everyone here is asking for is a PR guy. Honestly I could care less about coin's PR. Just look at VOOT. Let the dev do his thing. If you are convinced this is a scam sit this one out. I find it funny that people come into threads yelling "SCAM". Its like going up to someone in a casino playing cards or a slot machine and telling them that they are at a losing seat. Like somehow you can see the future. The Crypto world is very entertaining.  Well professional PR is sort of what they promised in the OP. But i just read dev's replies, i'll wait it out, i invested a little so i'm wishing for the best! Thanks for believing in NWOcoin. |

many coins on c-cex over the past month ended up being losers when they get to bittrex - any compelling arguments for/against this being different?
The key to what we are doing is steady growth. I cant comment on the others coins ending up being losers but sticking to our plans. |
