21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Aeon coin - CryptoNight - CPU only on: August 30, 2014, 06:27:09 PM

I like and understand what you have created but the question in my mind is :- should this be endorsed by the coin owner or are we seeing the start of natural selection ?

Good point. The site is up and running. It's now up to the devs and community to decide what happens next.

Good News!
I am proud to present the first aeon coin market.

In order to give some real value to the coin, I thought of creating an online marketplace where we can all share and distribute digital products for now in order to get the coin out of the whole bitcoin exchange niche. It is time for the coin to be matched to real world products to prove its value and strength, and to prove that it is serious and here to stay and not just a shitty altcoin that hopes to be the next bitcoin.

Visit tradeaeon.com to check it out.

Anyone can sign up as a seller, and anyone can be a buyer.
I suggest keeping prices below 1 aeon to begin with, so that we don’t deflate the coin.
I’m not a webdesigner, but rather an aeon coin enthusiast, so all suggestions and ideas for future development of the website are welcome.

Please share the link with the community and other enthusiasts and start trading people!

tradeaeon.com

PS: i have no financial gain from the website :-) , i just want to see this coin start up properly!

A little help guys.
So i just withdrew 10k coins from poloniex to my GUI wallet.
It has been 6 hours now and the wallet shows balance: 10k, and unconfirmed: 10k . Is that ok? Shouldn't the unconfirmed be 0 ? Or does it just take time to confirm such a large amount...

On another note, here’s a concept for you!

Aeon is the best made coin I have seen so far and I believe it has a bright future. Problem is tough, all noobs and rookies want to dump it on the exchange ASAP so that they can cash out their mining before the coin dies, or whatever their reason is for doing it.

If we want this coin to survive and gain strength we need not only to market it, but actually use it. What’s the porpoise of a coin if all I can do is it and look at it sit in my wallet? And so, comes the concept:
I have already registered a domain, and I want to set up a classifieds website where we can sell digital products to each other in exchange for AEON. This will start to create some circulation of the coin, and people can relate to having a ‘’real world’’ reward for their mining effort. What I want to say is that we can put up useful stuff like eBooks or stock photography and sell it to others in exchange for our favorite currency.  I’m thinking like 0.1 AEON for a photo and 0.3-0.4 for an eBook, but that can still be discussed.
These are things that we all use anyway, and it’s something that can help start up the currency. I hope I’m making myself clear so far.

By the way, in case someone’s wondering: I have no financial gain from this website!!!! I just want to see AEON start up properly and get out of the shitty altcoin niche.

Now back to the website. The way I imagine this is that the seller puts up their wallet address in the add, and if someone wants to buy that specific product, they will send the seller a PM with a proof of sending/payment ID and their email address for receiving the product. Once the seller sees the coins in his wallet, he then sends the product to the buyer. Easy, right? Plus, we’re not gambling millions here. Worst case a seller is a dick and you will lose 0.1 AEON or something small like that. In time, scam sellers will be exposed and their IP will be blocked out. A seller rating system could also be implemented, and with each successful transaction, the buyer can give feedback.

I was thinking of Noah’s Classifieds for a platform since it’s free and seems easy to use. If someone has a better suggestion, I’m open fir it. And speaking of technical and all, I could use some help. You see, I have a job, wife, kid and 3 goats for some weird reason. So this means that I can dedicate 1 maybe 2 hours per day to the project. If there’s anyone that would like to take part and help me out with the development please PM me. I could use someone from a USA time zone and one from Europe to start it up.

Important: as a partner/helper/developer, same as me you will not have any financial gain from this project, but rather the satisfaction of starting up the most awesome coin there is.
More development and ideas are welcome, and I would really love if the community helped start this up. We start small, trade digital products to begin with and see what the future brings. This is meant to be a community coin or did I get the idea wrong?

Looking forward to your feedback and help guys!

Unfortunately Dashcoin is kind of dead.  Sad

You couldn't be more wrong my child !
For it is the will of THE GODS that this coin makes it to the exchange.
As it is predicted in the testaments : One shall mine shitloads of this coin, for it has not been pre-mined like Bytecoin, and ye of little faith shalt be stricken by the almighty Cryptogods! .... or something like that Cheesy

We got nothing so far
Let's wait and see if the coins get sent back

how about resynchronizing your wallet like this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600658.1480
remember backup your files..

Tried ... didin't work...
About 4 hours remaining till the coins should return to sender.
All pray for us :-)

EDIT and update:  The sender deleted wallet.bin and re-synchronized the wallet. That solved it. Thanks all for the support.

@silverlots I was also a reciever a day ago. We made it the same way - many small transfers. It toked a long time (we had to wait for 12+ hours for all transactions to be processed).
Are all transactions not processed or some of them are processed? If a transaction is not processed in 24 hours it is canceled, so don't worry about the money. Please make transfers with "-f 10.0005"  or something bigger than 10 to make the process faster. I just tested it and it works fine this way. When most users update their binaries the transaction fee will not be a problem.

Thanks for the reply and tips.
Nothing from the 52 mil came in yet, so i hope it gets sent back in about 10 hours and we can try again.
It would be a shame to have such a quantity get lost in the void
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DSH] Dashcoin - Major update (CPU mining, true anonymity ) on: August 19, 2014, 09:01:11 AM
I sent 52 mill in 26 parts(4 hours ago), but transactions were not confirmed by the network. and these are not in blockchain!!!
Where are my coins?

Still stuck. I am the receiver btw :-)
So 52 mil i stuck in escrow somewhere.
I updated my wallet and all. I also sent 60k and it came in in a few minutes, but still no sign of the 52 mil.
Suggestions anyone?
