Any hardware can run at the low level. No OS no drivers. 100% GPU spent for mining. I guess it's more than 10-20% improvements.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crazy private mining software on: February 07, 2017, 08:22:56 PM
Do they really exist , is there a private miners that we don't know about it pulling 2 to 3x what is public miners doing on the same gpus.
I can see on the pools some miners with crazy speeds i can't imagine that they are using such amount of hardware to get this speed , it seems also that the cards are not really loaded when i run any of the public miners like claymore or sgminer .....just asking if there is really something like that.. Smiley

Public miners made by non-professionals for non-professionals.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Really easy GPU mining OS on: February 05, 2017, 10:16:47 PM
It will be not only one OS, instead it will be three tools: Boss, Manager and Worker.

Boss - tool to watch all rigs in a farm and give them "orders" like reboot or install a new Worker or drivers or change pool and whatever.. Also it will keep images of Worker OSes and all settings for every rig. This tool can be on the rig or on a separate computer.
Manager - "middle-OS" that will run when rig boots, bring the new Worker OS to rig (if Boss says so), change video card ROMs, setup miner, restart and boot to Worker.
Worker - actual mining OS with drivers and software. Includes restart watchdog.

Three setups are possible: One rig, Many rigs (one of them contains Boss) and Farm (Boss on a separated computer).

This schema lets owner to have full control of everything in one place.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Crytopcurrency For Privacy on: February 04, 2017, 02:07:22 PM
Imagine...
Bob has value (money or goods or cryptocoins...) and he want to give this value to Alice.

For Bob there only one private way to give the value exist: is to meet Alice and give value from hand to hand. Though it needs some conspiracy to remain private.

Any other way will involve the third parties like banks, posts or payment systems. Lets call them helpers.

This helpers can take value from Bob's hand and put it to Alice's hand. This is what calls transaction. Transaction holds such info as sender, recipient and amount. This info let helper to treat Alice as next sender for this value. Other words it lets Alice spend value next time. Any transaction can become private only if information about it is destroyed. And there is no such helpers who will destroy this information (think why).

Blockchain is same helper and it's advantages is that no one control all of it so no one can cancel transaction for the reason other than the sender don't have the value. Also no one can delete or change transactions.

Conclusion: for Bob any coin is best for privately give value to Alice until he not going to buy or sell this coin using his real ID or real IP.

Nice to meet you guys!

If you have no hardware and are too Lazy to assemble any, go to Genesis mining and proceed to burn away your cash.
If you have hardware, or are willing to spend the time needed to building it, go to Simplemining.net and get their great OS.
If you are hardcore, build the rig, setup the miners, mod BIOS, tweak settings and setup automated scripts for everything.
This thread is for miners. Its mean we are not too lazy.
Simplemining is great and I used it before but it made by only one developer and he cannot do the BIOS things for all the cards exist. Update all the miners and drivers is not that easy too.
The goal of this not existing yet OS is to provide the "hardcore" profit to general public.

I think that what you are looking for is simplemining.net
Please read the previews answer.

Thank you very much to the OP for giving this thread as i was also searching for this type of OS , and the site simplemining.net is very good through it i am able to setup my own mining unit. Hope others will also take benefit from this thread.
I'm glad to find someone who understand the idea and I hope you will help me to spread the word.

I am running 7 four card rigs and 1 eight card rig with simple mining.
I guess that you are interested in more profitable mining too. Also maybe I will need your help in establish an escrow for donation-bounty system for development. Please read the initial post.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [EASYMINER] GPU mining OS on: February 03, 2017, 01:33:15 PM
Hello!
I'm a newbie miner and I'm from Russia. I've been watching bitcoin and coins for 7 years but only now I made decision to participate and it's not easy. Actually in this 7 years it becomes more and more complicated to dive in.

PROBLEM
GPU mining community needs an easy way to setup most efficient mining for rigs. Tons of messages like "Help me to setup my rig!!1" appears here and there. Setup and maintain a most profitable mining rig is way too hard because it is really complicated. Miner need to read tons of forums just to choose the software then he need to always watch for updates for mining software and pools. Also there is bios and drivers improvements and updates.

SOLUTION
I think all this can be done by developing all in one mining OS and providing a Plug'n'Play solution for users who are willing to give their hashing power for the network and community but who have no time to understand all these tech things. They should just choose what coin to mine and mining mode (like aggressive or power-saving) and that's all. Everything else should be done by professionals and enthusiasts who will participate in the OS development.
Development should be done by professionals by using bounty system. This bounty should be provided by the community through donation.

HOW IT WILL WORK
Developers can ask for bounty for coin/GPU improvements and if community will provide sufficient amount then dev will be hired. The OS will be auto updated with the improvement. If miners will report that mining works stable for a week (maybe less) then developer will be paid. This should be done with the escrow.

How do you guys think?

Grin Grin

15  Local / Майнеры / Re: Куда уходят майнеры?.. on: October 08, 2016, 04:12:18 AM

Grin Grin

I think OP lives in the U.S, you live in Russia. How is it possible for him to rent your rigs?

Simply he can send his rigs to me so I will put it into my farm.
$0.03/kWH - you remember?

Guys, I can't understand how the escrow will work in my case.

What to do if scammer will send me the broken hardware? I can't prove that it was already broken. And I will pay for that. So I believe that the escrow can lead to a much bigger problems for our good customers. And this is definitely not what we want. I think we better to slowly gain customers trust by the time and good work.

If no one are ready to put $500 in risk, then the community don't really need our service. Still we are happy to announce the $0.03 kHW co-location for our very first small and brave customers!

19  Economy / Securities / Re: Escrow donors needed on: September 29, 2016, 04:13:36 AM
Our main service announcement: $0.04/kWH Hosting\co-location
We need BTC100 for the escrow service to establish a customers trust. We propose a 20% lifetime profit share for donors. So if you will help us with BTC10 we will give you 2% of our net profit paid monthly. The coins you put in will remain yours. But you can't take them back for one year at least. That's a deal. Also no one insured from all the problems might happen, so you should count all the risks you buy.

Adequate replies are very welcomed!

Putting funds in escrow means you hae enough money to cover for any possible loss. Now, if you are asking for donations, that means that you don't have enough money to operate. Don't you think this request is redundant?

Yes. This is my mistake. First post updated.

20  Economy / Securities / Re: Escrow donors needed on: September 29, 2016, 03:15:12 AM
I agree. It's really sounds scam.
We don't have coins to put in for escrow. And this task looks recursive - we need some coins to establish a community trust, and we are asking same community to help us with that  Roll Eyes

We made a decision to propose a 50% lifetime discount for rigs cheaper than $500.

Check out our $0.02 / kWH proposal
