222  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Slush vs Deepbit on: April 03, 2011, 02:26:49 PM
Proportional for deepbit. I'm pulling around 664 Mhash/s per pool.
223  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Slush vs Deepbit on: April 03, 2011, 01:58:14 PM
I am currently splitting my work 50/50 on both Tycho's and Slush's pool. I will let everyone know when my sample size is greater than >100000 submitted shares for both pools. I will be monitoring invalid blocks on both pools, taking that into account for stale shares, and considering downtime as a pool should be reliable at all times.

Waiting for people at the .10-.25 NL table.
225  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Poker Night on: April 01, 2011, 12:06:57 AM
I'm at the tables if anyone wants to play.
226  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Poker Night on: March 30, 2011, 11:51:27 PM
Yeah. What's wrong with it?

Well it's working now, but what's wrong with it? Nothing much, but there is room for improvement. Definitely need a better slider bet bar. I find myself always manually typing in my bets.

Anyone want to play?

What's wrong with the poker site? It was just working last night.

231  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Get paid 5 BTC for joining Dropbox on: March 29, 2011, 12:11:21 AM
Dropbox is a great service everyone should use, with or without an incentive to join. You'll be able to sync files on multiple computers without e-mailing yourself or moving files between computers via an usb stick.
232  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will buy 1000W ATX PSU on: March 24, 2011, 10:49:07 PM
I've used this one for a while without any gotchas. Today I repacked both cards (had issue with VDDC temps due my waterblock design) and started it at 950/1.25v

It worked for may be 20 minutes and then turned off.. 2 seconds later - two big sparks and loud clicks. PSU is dead. Plugged in old 1000W PSU - everything works fine

So this PSU probably is good for stock clocks or light load under overclock (like playing some games). But definitely will not hold up against bitcoin miner =))

Cry, sorry Hippich. Mine have been fine throughout. Maybe you got a bad apple?

My 2x5970 costs about $170 USD per month in electricity.

235  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electricity power saver for cpu? on: March 17, 2011, 01:48:40 AM
I've personally disabled 3 of my 4 processors from the bios, turned off HT, and undervolted my i7 930 to 0.95v @ 2.8ghz to save some electricity. Normally it runs at 4.2ghz @ 1.27v.

Wow.  That's taking it to the max...or...the min...or something.

I don't use the desktop other than mining, so there's no point in having all processors on even with speedstep. Might as just disable it from the bios and undervolt it. I might try a lower vcore, but I'm more about stability than trying to save another 10w.

237  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5970 users - Avg Mhash/s on: March 14, 2011, 03:20:19 AM
My 2x5970s are CF enabled @ 850/1000 gets about 1.24-1.28Ghash/s. Fans at 100%.

What sort of temps are you seeing? Stock cooling?

Low 80s for core, low 110s for vrms. Running for almost 2 months now with a few reboots. I have a CM Haf 932 case and live in Caifornia.

239  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: GIGABYTE vs XFX vs ASUS vs DIAMOND vs ETC...?!? on: March 12, 2011, 11:10:23 PM
The Accelero extreme is a decent cooler for your GPU, but it's actually worse for your VRM temps. I find that I'm limited by my VRM temps more than anything else. You're better off setting up a 80-120mm fan right in front of the card where the power plugs in to blow into the card directly - cheaper, but a lot louder! I've been running 24/7 100% load for the last 1 1/2 months with no interruption in mining.

I'm running a XFX BE and Gigabyte 5970.
240  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying 3-4 120mm fans. on: March 09, 2011, 09:50:38 AM
Seems like you'll get the ones from hippich, but if you change your mind, I'll sell the 3x Delta's for 48.5BTC USPS Priority Mail/w delivery confirmation. The 30 dBA fans will most likely net you under 70CFM.
