1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: December 22, 2021, 06:59:32 PM
yes you are right, if the hardware wallet broken, you will lose all of your bitcoin, so there are many people that use hardware wallet for investing in a very very long time, so they dont use it everyday, and every time,
if you want to use it everytime i think the software wallet is a better choice than hardware wallet

Not true you are not losing anything
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: July 29, 2021, 05:06:57 PM
I was mining bitcoin for  3 years invested around 4500 usd for mining equipment
Sold 2.7 btc bought land and paid construction company to build my house.
Am I rich? No but helped me a lot without btc i would never have that i have now plus i have 2 btc for saving
Btc alone gave me a 30-40 years of working and saving
Btc is my god not bank

When you started mining, did your mining device mine at profitable prices or did you have to wait for the price to increase in order to make your investment ultimately pay off? Because often times people are better off if they just buy Bitcoin instead of investing in mining equipment. When did you start mining and which devices did you use? Damn those times when you could mine Bitcoin just with your laptop, that must have been fun! Wink

No I was mining for 3 years and holding almost 8 years i started mining with those usb miners 332mh/s each i could afford buy 15 of them later i get avalon bitfury and s1 in 2 pcs still have all this garbage now in basement lol

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uncovering the mystery of lost Bitcoins on: January 15, 2021, 01:33:30 PM
This is quite an informative article that can help especially the beginners but just want to add to it.

I realized you mentioned how bitcoin can be lost by misplacing private key and also from hacked exchanges but you did not mention how it can be lost through malware installation on wallet devices and also through phishing attacks.

Also, you did not mention seed phrase all through, for beginners to understand, you need to let them know how important seed phrase are. Because losing the master private key, seed or the seed phrase can be used to steal your whole wallet and lead to Bitcoin and other funds lost.

Ways Bitcoin can be lost
1. Forgotting the encrypted password used
2. Seed phrase accessed by attackers
3. Malware attack like trojan and keyloggers etc
4. Through phishing sites
5. Through fake exchanges
6. Through fake wallets.
7. Through lost passphrase
8. Hacked exchanges
9. Lost to cloud mining sites
10. Lost to Ponzi scheme
11. Lost through fake giveaways and airdrops
12. Lost through misplaced seed phrase, private key or seed etc.

Only few points here are valid.
Most of them are not lost just someone else have them.

Hi
First I want to wish merry xmass to everyone.
Second I am holding few coins and beside BTC,DGB and others, is KMD my bet.
Great project with big future.
Im only holding coins that I can store on trezor wallet.
KMD is one of them
All I need to do is once a month connect my trezor to magnum and collect my rewards...perfect is it??

Correct, claimning the rewards 1x in a month is good

Well that's not best part ,best part is I can keep my priv key in hardware  wallet …
And it is even more energy efficient than pure POS...

I think DGB should partner with MYR coin...would be awesome

How would their partnership be awesome and how would that work?

DGB seems to be a clone of MYR in the sense of it being the fist multi-algo coin and DGB the next

Its upto the devs/community to decide on that

Then all sha256 coins should partner with BTC right?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh Fuck! - This asshole published my private key! on: June 26, 2016, 09:24:42 AM
directory.io is actually just a site which contain privkey of an address which they generate it automatically so there's no balance on it,and I don't sure your privkey were published there ,if i'm wrong, then show the proof

OK fine.  You want proof, here is proof:
http://directory.io/76746648320380374280100293470930

The 17th address on the list is MY ADDRESS!  AND MY PRIVATE KEY!!!

I'll tell you what is good fun, just take a few of those addresses and copy and paste them into blockchain.info.  It's like playing the lottery!  It's like playing the lottery but you don't have to pay to play!!  Not only that, it is like playing the lottery without having to pay AND you can win more than the real lottery!!!

I'll bet you can't resist copying and pasting a few of those addresses.  Give it a try!

10-20 addresses are empty with 0 transactions so what you are talking about?
