3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mybitcoin.com Press Release #2 ? on: August 06, 2011, 09:27:35 AM
Tom Williams,

You better come up with %100 of everyone's bitcoins ASAP even if you need to buy them with your own money from one of the exchanges.

Those bitcoins are YOUR responsibility.

I can think of times in my life where I made mistakes,  and paid tens of thousands of dollars out of my own pocket to make things right.

Now it is your turn.

Do the right thing.
This x 1000.

If he's not incorporated, he can be sued for his personal assets and cash by anyone and everyone who lost bitcoins from this.  I encourage people to take this route once more of his information is revealed, and if he does not fully reimburse every single person who used the service.

Direct from MyBitcoin's Terms of Service agreement. You agreed to it when you signed up, so too bad.

Not sure if you guys can post in the exchange section..but I just opened a brand new exchange that accepts paypal

http://minibits.weebly.com/

will transfer to a .com if I get a good amount of orders

You're just setting yourself up for scams. PayPal is reversible, I could simply claim that I did not receive the virtual funds.
What if  I already cashed out the money?

It does not matter if you've already cashed out the money. If you having outside funding sources, they will not let you remove them until your negative balance is all paid up.

Now the US will bribe them to raise their credit rating to an AAA, and fall deeper into debt.  Cool

9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Up to 22.5x your Bitcoins! Play instantly! No waiting for blocks to confirm! on: August 06, 2011, 01:24:17 AM
I think the owner of that site is setting himself up for a fail.

The owner heard about my concerns and has taken the site offline.

His mybitcoin.com userid and 'secret' were also exposed in plain text javascript on the site...but I guess that don't matter anymore anyway.

If he has ANY of the game logic running in javascript on the client side, he is doomed.  If the game runs in the client, it would be trivial to edit the code and cheat.

I think there are some firefox plugins that allow you to step through a javascript as its running and edit it along the way as you please.

I've read the front-end js source code, there's not much you can do to hack it. Everything validates at the server through Socket.IO. I've entered bogus withdraw requests for funds that I don't have and the server didn't allow it.
10  Economy / Gambling / Up to 22.5x your Bitcoins! Play instantly! No waiting for blocks to confirm! on: August 05, 2011, 03:37:44 PM

NOPE
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Hacking the MyBitcoin node on: August 05, 2011, 02:29:04 PM
Seriously, it was too easy to hack. They had no firewall up. Believe it or not, they did not secure their servers with ssh keys, instead, they allowed me to brute force the root password. Fortunately, I was able to get in after the night of the 4th day. I didn't get any sleep that night, I was too excited.

I was amazed that the amount of Bitcoins they had in store in their node. To my surprise, they lied about having "the majority" of Bitcoins stored in an offline vault. Unless, this was the 'offline' wallet they were talking about, which was a joke either way. I can confirm that they did not store all of their Bitcoins on this node though, but it was sure a 'tidy' amount.  Wink

Since MyBitcoin operates with no fee, I can see their decision to enter redemption be reasonable because there was no way they can 'buy' their way back into these Bitcoins, it would at least cost them several hundred thousands.

I do not plan on dumping the Bitcoins onto the market right away. I do believe that Bitcoin will one day be worth more than 100 a piece. That will be the day when my work has paid off. However, I do hope Bitcoin doesn't crash because of my actions.

Godspeed.

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need these miners! on: August 05, 2011, 09:19:49 AM
I need a list of GPU miners that wouldn't require opencl.dll. Oh and a list of CPU miners would be good too!

Um, do you have a Windows Me super comptuter?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tradehill to Paxum delay on: August 05, 2011, 09:16:37 AM
Hello,

I have been trying to withdraw euro's for some time now. Went from mtgox to TradeHill because of the SEPA offering. Now that this is no longer an option, I initiated a withdrawal from TradeHill to Paxum. It is 'In Process' status since August 2nd. I do not receive any answer on my emails asking why there is a delay. Anyone else have the same experience?

Thanks

Um, from what I've read, it takes around 4-7 days. Correct me if I'm wrong.
