21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - BIGUP] BIGUP Life Ya'll - MOST SUCCESSFUL COIN LAUNCH IN YEARS!! on: March 15, 2016, 08:59:59 PM
What I need to do is get my friend to help me create a p2pool for this. Compiling the wallet was easy.

i though it was a linux wallet , if yes how do i install , i managed get update the linux and i download it (the wallet), but then i stuck , i cant call "make"commando ( 1% experience with Linux)

Let me fire up the ol linux box and see what I get.
So if you have the correct dependencis it would be something like this:
git clone https://github.com/BigUps/wallet.git
enter
cd wallet
enter
cd src
enter
make -f makefile.unix
enter
strip bigupcoind
enter

then copy bigupcoind into whatever directory you wish to launch it from

on first lauch you will have to create a bigup.conf file and it will show you where to create it
thx m8 , i think its now compiling ...

plz step 2 now , how to make an config file  Grin Roll Eyes Grin
nano /root/.Bigup/Bigup.conf
enter in this info and save, then start
rpcuser=your_user_name
rpcpassword=littlebit of key mashing here

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - BIGUP] ICO COMPLETE! -- BIGUP Life Begins!!! on: March 15, 2016, 02:01:57 PM
This coin has some strong possibilty. Sadly it seems the investors are a bit bent over the fact it did not make them rich overnight. This is the first coin that is not pow that I have had anything to do with. I  mostly mine pow coins. I am not a big operation but more of a hobby level unfortunately and it takes me over 3 months to even come close to a bitcoin in earnings, yet i invested into this coin because I liked what I saw. I currently have 16.9mil staking nicely. I think if the dumpers would give pause to really look at the market they would see that just in the history of the buying and selling there is evidence of backing in the coin in that it is being bought up and although the price is only 1 satoshi it is still a large amount of investment being spent into a new coin. So as for me i am just gonna sit back and watch the activity some more. I would offer to help with the dev'ing but I am not a coder.

BigUp seems to have a BigLimp. Lotta hype for this coin and very little show it seems. Is sad really

On the block explorer, how are we going to tell the world that the money supply is actually closer to 1.5bn, NOT 4bn?

The burnt coins should be taken off the block-chain COMPLETELY.

Well as there is no record of the left over coins being burnt yet that would be hard to do. If they had burnt the coins it would show in the block explorer. Or if they had to do it in multiple transactions yobit could simply post the tx's here for everyone to see, but it hasn't happened. I have over 10m of these so trust me that I am not downriding this coin, but figure to watch carefully before I invest anymore into it.

I hope that YOBIT burns the excess coins, so that we get a true picture of total coinage.

I was unable to withdraw coins from Yobit. I think they put withdrawals temporarily on hold.

BIGUP Life!!

Well as of the time of this post the leftover coins have not been burnt. Pretty much figure just another scam coin here. Prove me wrong and see to it the roughly 2.5 billion leftover coins get burnt.

YoBit is responsible for burning the unsold coins. This will not be an issue, YoBit always burns the coins that are not sold in ICO

I did not say who was responsible as that info is above my pay grade. I just asked if you would prove me wrong. Apparently you are not up to thaat challenge as you simply redirected the challenge. Smiley

So doing my bit to help this. I created a giveaway of xjo (didn't know there was one already) and have some coin posted for sale on Yobit. I like this coin and as I can I will help support it.

Would be nice to get a functional wallet for windows. Your zip file isn't in a recognised format with either of 7zip nor the basic windows zip program. When I did get the file unzipped I got a "not compatible with windows" message.

Tested it, downloads, unzips and runs fine.

Try to clear your browser-cache and try again  Smiley
Not sure what the issue is but I gave up. tried this in chrome, firefox, and explorer. I am not a noob at this sort of thing either. Anyhow considering the troubles I have had with the windows version I am not even gonna attempt adding it to my server. Sorry. Good luck with it.

I gave up mining this. I have about 24k of them and don't see as it has a future. If I could sell them I would be ok but to much wasted hash time as I see it.
