1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How far will regulators go? on: April 08, 2026, 01:10:35 PM
Feels like they’re just gonna keep tightening things step by step. More KYC, less privacy stuff, more pressure on exchanges. I don’t think they can fully stop people from launching coins though, anyone can still deploy one.

What they really control is access. Listings, fiat ramps, big platforms. So crypto won’t die, it’ll just split. One clean and regulated, the other more underground.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are gambling and meme coin investing the same? on: April 08, 2026, 11:03:30 AM
Pretty close tbh. Both are chasing quick money and you can lose fast. Difference is with meme coins you at least have charts, hype, timing, maybe catch a trend early. In gambling it’s pure luck. But let’s be real, most meme coin plays still feel like a casino, just with extra steps.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto and politics on: March 27, 2026, 10:00:48 AM
I don’t see it as a bad idea by itself. Money is money, whether it’s fiat or crypto. If donations are legal, the form shouldn’t matter that much.

The problem is transparency. Crypto is traceable, but not always in a simple way. You can still route funds through multiple wallets, mixers, etc. That’s probably why some politicians don’t like it, harder to control and track compared to banks.

There’s also politics in it. Some just don’t trust crypto at all, others don’t want new systems they don’t fully understand.

Using crypto for donations is fine in theory, but rules and tracking need to catch up first.
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A Simple Quantum-Resistant Update on: March 27, 2026, 09:52:53 AM
Not reusing addresses is already normal, wallets do it by default. Forcing it in the protocol feels kinda unnecessary.

The idea about hiding the public key longer sounds nice, but quantum isn’t really a real threat yet.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anybody interested in helping test a trading bot? on: March 10, 2026, 01:13:44 PM
Oh, yeah, on all $2 somebody's willing to risk! That's the devious plan of OP!  Grin

Who knows. A couple of dollars here, ten there, and you’ve already scammed a few hundred. That’s why people are so cautious about it.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Few tips to avoid gambling addiction, add yours. on: March 05, 2026, 10:44:55 AM
I’ll add a couple more to your list. Not from personal experience though, just saying.

4. Use the tools that gambling platforms give you. Most sites have things like deposit limits, loss limits or even a cool-off option. It’s actually a good idea to turn those on, because sometimes relying only on self-control isn’t enough.

5. Also learn to stop even when you’re winning. Everyone warns about chasing losses, but winning can lead to the same thing. After a good win many people keep playing and give it back later. Sometimes the best move is to stop while you’re ahead.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Payments - fiat to crypto on: February 27, 2026, 09:49:52 AM
Check out stuff like Coinbase Commerce, NOWPayments or BitPay. Some of them handle the card payment, convert it, and settle to you in USDT, BTC, etc. It feels like a normal checkout page for the customer.

Just keep in mind most of these services will require you (as the merchant) to pass KYC and there will be fees, sometimes higher than regular card processing. Also depends on what country you’re in and where your customers are. But yeah, what you’re describing does exist, you just need the right processor, not a regular wallet.

I’d suggest checking out this thread, it’s pretty much about your exact question.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is a historical day for BITCOIN on: February 24, 2026, 09:56:23 AM
Wow, I didn’t even know the logo is that old. So today is actually a big day. Thanks for the articles about its history, as a newbie it was really interesting to read. I never really thought about the logo before, it just existed. Turns out it actually has its own story.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We don't advise this but some guy did it. on: February 18, 2026, 01:39:40 PM
I think that person is probably enjoying their wealth now. But no one really knows where they are today, or whether they managed to HODL until becoming rich, or sold early—no one knows. Still, the story you shared is interesting. If that person managed to sell at the best price, they might not be poor for generations to come. Starting only with borrowed money, they could have made millions of dollars from Bitcoin’s rise.

I’m also really curious what’s up with him now. Did he cash out after the first big pump or later? Did he lose the wallet key?  Grin

Honestly, that was pretty bold back then. Either he somehow knew and believed the pump was definitely coming, or he’s just the luckiest guy in the world. Either way, the risk was way too high and taking a loan for crypto isn’t worth it. Better to use your own money. Slower, sure, but no debt.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: What’s the Most “Normal” Thing You Refuse To Do? on: February 17, 2026, 11:53:20 AM
I hate when people touch my clothes or my stuff in general. It’s not about germs or anything like that. I just don’t like seeing someone touch something that belongs to me. I can deal with it if it’s someone close to me, but if it’s a stranger, I’ll openly show I’m not happy about it  Angry

I can’t really say where this came from. No one took my toys away on the playground or anything like that. I’m probably just possessive. If someone needs something, I’d rather buy a new one and give it to them than let them use mine. People around me know about this little “quirk” and they’re fine with it. Even though yeah, maybe it’s not totally normal.

Overall it doesn’t ruin my life or anything. But sometimes I get this flash of anger inside when someone grabs my pen like “just to sign a couple things, what’s the big deal,” and I’m standing there already annoyed and about to snap  Tongue
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it really plus +1 or minus -1 on: February 13, 2026, 02:25:25 PM
That was said right earlier. We count how many years we’ve lived, not how many we supposedly have left till death. I don’t know about you, but I can’t predict my death date, so why would I subtract years from something random? If I start subtracting from 80 (which is around the average lifespan now) and then die at 30, does that mean I lived -50 years? Makes zero sense to me.

Yeah, we get older and technically closer to death every day. But we don’t count down the days to DEATH, we focus on the days and years of LIFE. That just feels way more logical to me.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you could become Rich through gambling? on: February 11, 2026, 10:22:42 AM
I know this is rare but the percentage of people who are gambling today have this perspective and notion about becoming successful through gambling, and of course that is very possible but is very rare to happened, but guess what?

This is what gets most people trapped in between, because they are trying to prove themselves that they can make it true gambling but without knowing it is going the other way round where you would be gambling and losing after countless loses you could find it too hard to quit couples with the amount spent for years of gambling without succeeding hitting a better chance.

Don't get me wrongly, there are people who gambles a day and made it in their life and there are people who has been gambling for the past 1-3 years without winning any substantial amount while gambling and yet didn't quit gambling. I want to know if you found yourself in this condition would you continue to gamble or you will quit along the line?

If I’d been gambling for years and basically achieved nothing, I’d quit.

You gotta understand that in this situation only the casino wins. I’m not getting any profit, no positive эмоtions, nothing.

I’d withdraw whatever money I still have there and just forget about all those platforms. Better put that energy into something more useful instead of draining yourself.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GET ANGRY on: February 07, 2026, 01:00:50 PM
Yeah, I didn’t get you right at first. For me, anger has always been about destruction, that’s all I’ve seen in my life.

I totally understand your point, yes when I heard the word "anger" I think about destruction because that's the only outcome I get whenever I'm provoke to anger or when I decide to apply it myself. I think the word aggressive is more better than anger because when you talk about aggressive it means applying more force to what you're doing take for instance in bitcoin investment, sometimes we might decide to be more aggressive in accumulating bitcoin more especially when there's a buying opportunity because aggressive does not come with destruction unless you over do.

Then I wouldn’t call it anger or aggression, I’d call it confident audacity. In the crypto world, it’s hard to achieve much without that. Sometimes you really do need to show audacity in trading and in your decisions to get results.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GET ANGRY on: February 06, 2026, 01:58:29 PM
Anger is destructive, when you're angry you can’t really think straight. It’s better to replace ANGER with DETERMINATION, because only that can actually get us off the couch and start living life. It’s thanks to it that we step into the unknown and change our lives. Anger, on the other hand, usually just makes things worse, since decisions made in the heat of the moment rarely end well.

You don't get the message at all, there is nothing that I have ever done out of merely trying over again, I turned into a different person the moment I got angry 💢 to why I am not making progress, determination isn't enough, fine-tuning your seriously with anger gets things done than just having determination.

I am talking from experience, the little achievement that I have been able to achieve in life was all because I got anger towards failure, I got anger as to why I am not making it, it just make me see things clearly, do not compare this with anger on people because they spit on you, I am not talking about anger that turned into street fights and all violence alike.

Yeah, I didn’t get you right at first. For me, anger has always been about destruction, that’s all I’ve seen in my life.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Governments Really Stop Crypto? The Reality Behind a Full Ban on: February 03, 2026, 08:59:51 AM
I don’t think it’s even possible to fully ban crypto. Like it’s already been said, it’s a network, not a website you can just block. And if big exchanges and stuff get banned, crypto will just go underground. The government can’t really control it, the network has grown way too big. To completely ban crypto, you’d have to ban the internet, and that’s not something anyone is realistically going to do.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a "digital gold" analogue on: January 28, 2026, 11:35:54 AM
Depends on your targets.. Never thought of silver as something to hoard.

You do you, if you think it's relevant - push for it based on your own analysis and thoughts.

From what I see, when BTC starts getting shaky, Gold usually moves up, and lately Silver has been following that trend too. And I think it’s worth using that moment.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a "digital gold" analogue on: January 26, 2026, 02:28:50 PM
BTC is for good times.

Gold is for harsh ones.

Always thought about it in this vein.

Silver has shown good growth recently, do you think it’s worth investing in it for a ‘rainy day’? Or would Gold be more stable?
